In an attempt to bring the grey out of the peril she was in, tried growing a ring of pretty flowers around her. Had an Asriel birb curled up against her shoulder. Suddenly, Roanen was breathing down her neck, and so she politely moved out of his way, shifting to the other side of Fletcher. That reaction didn't bode well with the Samurai, and was met with hooves and antlers coming at her. Pretty sure one glanced off her antler crown. Oh well, I ain't brittle, kiddo. With some bruising from being caught up in the scuffle she stood off to the side and watched in Dismay as Ezekiel and Asriel had a brawl with her son. Puffed her cheeks some and paced, apologized to Fletcher and the still unmoving Halla, thanked Ezekiel for his trouble, and moved back to home tree.

  26. In a rage began beating up trees. The fuck was she being treated like this for? Called Roanen a few choice names in her rage, which Kuroi over head upon entering. Sat with her face in Kuroi's tree, barely managing to sputter at Asriel to stop before he and her husband were off on a Roan hunt. Gdi. Shot off after them, and throughout the fight dove between the warring behemoths in an attempt to simply stop the bloodshed and preserve life. Also Roan she kind of still loves you a lot and doesn't want you to die ok. Ezekiel joined. Now it was three on an already wounded one. Tried her hardest to bring it to an end, and got it to stop eventually. Met with scolding words from her husband while at the Pond. Threw scoldings at puffy and proud Asriel as he pranced around behind her. Almost followed the two males in disappearing, but first had something to do. Brought a few jars of salve and a bear skin to the injured and slightly weeping Roanen. Shared some words, cracked a bit, then hobbled away.

  28. Joined Kuroi in Myar and had a brief argument with him that sent her fleeing into her garden in tears. Was comforted enough by Aeterna to face Kuroi again. The tense moment turned into an apologetic and affectionate one.

  71. Upon her Forest creation she was a very timid, skittish, shy little thing. Scared of her own shadow and everyone else's.
  72. Like a flower, as she aged she blossomed. Became more outgoing (though how much is up for debate), affectionate and happy. This lead to friends. Friends lead to more blossoming.
  73. Met her love, and reached a new level of emotional bloom.
  74. Became pregnant, and discovered feelings of mothering, nurturing, worry and protectiveness not experienced before.
  75. Had her fawns, and when one appeared to be in a coma, the worry emotion increased, and she left for days at a time to try and find a cure. Discovered selflessness and the almost violent need to preserve the life of another.
  76. Over the process of her still woken son forsaking her, her husband and his brother found her emotions becoming confused and out of control. Timid and shy behaviors amplified. Self loathing, confusion, and betrayal blowing away most of her other positive emotions. Discovered how negative emotions can affect one's health.
  77. Upon her death, in an attempt by her soul to protect herself, most positive emotions were laid to rest underneath a much colder, harsher exterior. Only to be experienced by trusted ones.

  90. At its base, her magic is for plants, not animals. But due to her explorations in her own powers, has been able to vastly expand the reaches of her abilities. Wherever she steps, plants will grow, die, and regrow. She can both encourage plants to grow, and let them rest easy with a few kind words at the end of their lives. Can create any type of plant from large fir trees to the tiniest pea sized flowers and smaller.

  92. Sprouted from this benevolent magic is the ability to create her own type of plant, her own herbs and flowers and trees. The greatest examples of this are her gardens in Myar, filled with a myriad of healing plants, as well as their home tree in the Forest, which has become overgrown in her plants since she began living there with her husband. The plants she creates are the ones most often used in her healing salves.

  94. Healing salves are created by her and her familiars (of which there are five), and are kept in jade or smoothed quartz jars. Strung all over their home tree and her study in their castle, Azalea uses these salves, poultices and raw plant material to heal without taking any damage upon herself. A bypass to the law of equivalent exchange, she uses the healing items as a medium to soak up her healing magics. Since her magic is neither light nor dark, yet both at the same time, it is considered hypoallergenic to those with magical or herbal sensitivities. Salves and pastes can be eaten for an even more accelerated healing rate. Stitches given with her healing magic will aid even more. Best perk is her healing creations have an almost instant numbing/soothing agent.

  96. Without a medium, her magic causes her to take the patient's injuries/sickness, and depletes her magic stores more rapidly, and thus depleting her life force. Since her rebirth, both have become twined in one. Replenish on their own if not too drastically drawn from, or by feeding her flowers she's grown. In times of great peril concerning her magic levels, she can be buried in her garden in Myar and draw energy from her creations.

  98. Turning to another aspect of her magical being is her talismans. If someone has a chronic illness, or something she cannot entirely fix; missing organs, misplaced organs, arthritis, headaches due to skull pressure, seizures, partial to full blindness, chronic illness, failing organs; she will create a talisman or doll from a piece of the afflicted's being, so they will be able to survive as long as it is kept on their person. Once they are healed and the item's job fulfilled, it will return to her on its own.

  100. As mentioned before, she has familiars. Benevolent demonic souls she's acquired over her lives that have fused with her, become part of her and yet retained their original behaviors in some ways. All have lost their original forms and colors, and are represented as birds for the most part.
  101. &Gt; Atiya - her oldest and most commonly used familiar. Helps her with everything from collecting herbs, to delivering messages, to tightening her corsets and doing her hair. Has the ability to carry her messages in her voice. Parrot sized and formed with many trailing feathers.
  102. &Gt; Ndidi - second eldest familiar. Used for gathering and keeping an eye and ear on others. Voiceless. Dove formed and sized. More skittish than all the rest.
  103. &Gt; Vaan - gained with Ndidi. Bearded vulture. The second strongest of her familiars. Can multiply into a flock of bearded vultures. Her defense system in some cases. Herds souls not yet ready to leave the waking world for the veil beyond. Mute as well.
  104. &Gt; I'Timad - fourth eldest of her familiars. The only one that isn't a bird. Hyena. Used for war and personal defence. The least used of all her familiars.
  105. &Gt; Ayotunde - the smallest and youngest of all her familiars. Gatherer, observer, tender to her garden when she is away. House finch size and shape. Most vocal of her familiars and will often sing to her.

  110. Azalea's roots from her first life contained the ability to call souls and exorcise foul spirits or demons from unwilling hosts, or seal them if the host able and willing.

  112. First mentioned of these abilities is soul calling. In short, if one dies, it is understood their soul might up and leave and attempt to wander away from its body, possibly with no where to attach to. If alerted to this, and given permission, Azalea can use her familiar Vaan to keep the soul nearby long enough to revive the deceased's body. If it is truly the being's time to die, there is little she can do within the slim percentages of a chance that they can actually be revived. But she will try. She will extend her own soul to surround the distressed soul in comfort and warmth while she and the rest of her avian familiars work to revive and mend the body. (She cannot perform this for someone who has died of natural causes such as old age, but she can help guide them beyond the world of the living.) In the case of it being someone closer to her, she will try talking to them, encouraging them closer with singing, or fond memories only heard by the soul in question. While her soul is extended like this, she goes into a trance, and an almost coma like sleep.

  114. Second mentioned is exorcisms and sealing. In the case of an invading spirit, much weaker than that of a demonic possession, an exorcism can be performed with a few spoken incantations so long as she has contact physically with the person. Usually uses her tail for this. In the case of a demonic possession, things can be a little trickier, and friends or relatives of the afflicted can chose to either have the beast removed (though if the demon is too deeply embedded in the host's soul/life essence, this poses a high risk of death to the host), or if such is not possible, the demon can be sealed into a dormant state within the host. If an exorcism is the best option, she will usually consume the demon afterwards, to prevent it from escaping or harming anyone else. Methods of exorcising the demons vary based on the demon's strength. Can become a very violent affair, just like sealing. Sealing usually involves seals being written on the host's body, with her form physically touched to theirs, and her soul within them, banishing the evil to a safer, darker recess of their being. The souls painted on the flesh will transcend into their being and constrict the demon into dormancy.

  121. Usually the bard of peace, Azalea does have a more violent nature that now, more than ever, shows its teeth. Though small, she is very quick on her feet. With her hooves and horns of an abnormal glass, she can deal quite the blow. She tends to use her tail the most, though. Surprisingly it has muscle throughout it, which is usually languid and relaxed, so her tail is free to puddle and pile as she needs or wants it. However, in a fight, it is often used as a whip to trip her opponent, grasp their necks or faces and choke them, or take them on a joy ride behind her over very rough rocks. She is a relentless fighter. As a human, she is a skilled mounted archer and proficient with twin swords.

  123. In aggression, she will fan and rattle her massive crown of feathers, and hiss like a viper. With a full set of shark like teeth, and a bite that weighs more than she probably does, she is a frightening adversary in a small package. Met and battled the demon Abel and managed to consume him and seal him to herself before she too, was destroyed. Caused her soul to reincarnate.

  127. &divonx; Roshan. Second life, 450 years. Reincarnated as one of her people. Recognized by them to be their beloved deity. This life inadvertently started the tradition of oracle accolites to serve each tribe in her stead when she realized how vastly stunted her powers were. After her death the tradition was construed by the greedier czars of her people and the oracles were expected to serve as receptacles for all the bad energy in each tribe, thus destroying many of them at an early age. Only life not ended by Abel's doing from within. No family.

Soul still recovering from her battle with Abel and so did not live as long as her first life, but significantly longer than her second. Fixed the appalling practises of her tribe leaders. Resumed her previous duties of exorcisms and blessings. Died of suicide when Abel cracked his seal enough to gain control of her body and take a dagger to her neck.

Spent as a semi mortal oracle in her tribes. Depleted powers and abilities, but still admired greatly by her people. Oracles had long since begun being recruited when bearing resemblance to her and powers like hers though much weaker. Blood letting began. Members of each tribe spilled a five drops of blood into cups for their oracles to drink. Was a way to keep crime down. Enabled the oracles to see any evils done by the people of their tribe. Her final lives in this world. Each ended by Abel in some way. Gained the remainder of her familiars in these lives.

Lived on her own for a while before saving up enough to take legal guardianship of her brother. Fell in love. Moved into a small home as a family. Killed alongside her brother and boyfriend in a home invasion by the local gang.

Born to the Forest as a nameless, parentless fawn, scared of everything but unknowing as to why. Named Azalea by the plants that spoke to her. Became friends with the small birds and flowers. Remained in this bubble of solitude, hiding behind a scary skull headdress to hide her fear of others when she did manage to venture out of her hidey hole and heal people. Scittered about until meeting someone she would forever call 'mother'. Introduced her to the realm of humans, where she began work in a hospital more understanding of their 'kind'. Made her first friends through the blue wolf, and ultimately the first true love she'd ever experienced. Memories of her last life surfaced finally. Spent time in her love's home world before giving herself to him, becoming his wife and the mother of his children. Unaware that Abel passed from her to the smallest of the fawns until it was too late, and he had cemented himself to her child's soul, and her other son had been taken by another doe. After years of peril over the loss of her red son, was killed again by Abel using the body of her beloved Verteres.

If she could rip out her heart not to love him anymore, she would.
