<flibbyjibbits> In each persons head, Telmars voice sounds, "Are you back yet? That irritating woman told me she brought you here with her. When you have time, get to my library, so we can talk about what you found."
<Deathfish64> I'm still filled with righteous anger over the mistreatment of that pitiful dragon, but I head to the library
<Skeleton> "Yes! We, the silly elf included, are back in Rakor."
<flibbyjibbits> At the castle gate, one of the guards waves you over and leads you to the library. On the top floor of it, near where the teleportation ring had been, Telmar sits at a table with the old man who came with you from Lenima. The parrot from the tunnels is sitting on the table, and they're both talking quietly and drinking what seems to be just water
<Eltrotraw> tombs SIGHS and goes to pick up his winnings, figuring he shouldn't overstay his welcome, and makes his way to Telmar's abode. Does he remember where it was?
<flibbyjibbits> well its not hard to see the castle from almost any given point in town
<Eltrotraw> unless i am suddenly sin li, the sightless acolyte

<Eltrotraw> so let's assume some things happen with Telmar as Tombs makes his way there

<Deathfish64> I intend to say "Hi."

<flibbyjibbits> The two old guys at the table stop their quiet talking and drinking and turn their heads towards the two party members coming up the stairs. Telmar appears a little dissapointed only two of you showed up , and I guess maybe 3 counting T-pose urist, but he stands up and greets you all the same
<flibbyjibbits> "Welcome back to your homelands. Now, this is my friend, Falkan, I believe he came with you from Nethu. Don't worry, you can speak freely around him. Please, sit down, help yourself."
<Skeleton> I scratch my left ear nonchalantly
<Skeleton> Looking in Telmar's direction
<Deathfish64> I sit down and examine whatever might be on the table
<flibbyjibbits> its nothing fancy. Theres a pitcher of cold water, some unnoteworthy bread, some flavorless spread for it
<Skeleton> invisible mayonnaise
<Deathfish64> I guess I'll pour myself a cup of the water
<flibbyjibbits> Falkan starts to resume the conversation he was having before, his voice is quite hoarse, such that one likely could not get a good estimate of his age, though it is undoubtably a high number.
<Skeleton> Falkan gets in his blue car and drives hella fast
<flibbyjibbits> "As I was saying, my friend, if you had sent word to me sooner, perhaps we could have constructed a simulacrum of the boy. It'd have kept up the illusion for much longer than just a trick of the light like you tried."
<flibbyjibbits> "Yes, well, thats not really an option anymore, and I don't think it would go over well with the castle staff, having a sewn-up ice sculpture that talked and walked like the kid. But, for now, let us not talk, and let the returning investigators tell us what they've found."
<Deathfish64> oh
<Eltrotraw> Tombs enters the room at this time, or whenever is most inappropriate
<Eltrotraw> "Got yer message, old man. What's up?"
<Deathfish64> "Yes, well, funny story about that... Oh, hey there Tombs."
<Skeleton> "Hi Tombs."
<flibbyjibbits> "Well, I don't imagine it would be a short story, you were gone nearly three weeks."
<Deathfish64> "Right."
<Deathfish64> what we found were those documents that the hooded guy took, right?
<Skeleton> "Eh, not a lot of note really happened. It could be summed up in five sentences or less."
<flibbyjibbits> the documents pertaining to the parrot shipments had been in the folder, yes, but theres also just the things your heard and saw, which are relevant too
<Eltrotraw> do we remember the details of the documents?
<Deathfish64> I don't remember seeing or hearing much of anything that was obviously relevant
<flibbyjibbits> [4] not really. there were a couple of large shipments out to moldath, tholest, and farim, but nothing more specific
<Deathfish64> Well, it's not like Pikkup would have been taking that part very seriously anyway
<Eltrotraw> Share this information?
<flibbyjibbits> tell him whatever you want
<flibbyjibbits> might want to mention things that happened in tholest, too, since that was where they believed that the people that hired gil were from
<Deathfish64> Tell them what, that we killed some order dude?
<Skeleton> We fought monsters. Lotte got stuck to a tree.
<Skeleton> I can't even come up with more than that!
<Eltrotraw> Tombs recalls the general order of documents he remembers, and shares this information
<Eltrotraw> and also that "I reckon that merc group we were lookin' for got wiped out by the Order"
<flibbyjibbits> how exactly did you say this all?
<Eltrotraw> oh
<Eltrotraw> ahem
<Eltrotraw> "We learned that there were big shipments of some stuff being headed out to some places like Moldath and Tholest, and I reckon that merc group we were lookin' for got wiped out by the Order"
<Deathfish64> "There was also an obsidian elemental with a crystal ball in its chest and when we killed it it exploded!"
<Deathfish64> "It was really cool!"
<Skeleton> "Yeah, it had burny blood"
<flibbyjibbits> Falkan speaks up, "Oh, your trail went dead did it? That is most unfortuitious. What were you hoping to find, might I ask? And what group, I mean?"
<Eltrotraw> "Didn' we figure some merc group wanted the king dead?"
<flibbyjibbits> Telmar: "Well, clearly, since they killed him."
<Eltrotraw> "Right. There you go."
<Skeleton> "No way."
<flibbyjibbits> Falkan: "Well, I'm part of the order, I mean, so maybe I might know something about what happened, I just can't remember everything right now, but maybe if you could be a little more specific?"
<Deathfish64> ("You can do it Tombs. Use your words.")
<Skeleton> (And your inclined eyebrows)
<Eltrotraw> He closes his eyes, scowling as usual. "That's all I gathered, that most of the members were dead and the place torched." (Where were we when this happened again, Tholest, right?)
<flibbyjibbits> yes
<flibbyjibbits> you were out with luce while the merc bar got torched
<Eltrotraw> Tombs considers if mentioning Luce would be a wise idea though
<flibbyjibbits> "Do you mean the little raid out in Tholest? I can't say I've spent much time out there. I was there once to repair the skylight in the temple, but thats about it. I did hear from Idrian that there was a mercenary group that was executed, though. I think maybe that might be what you were talking about?"
<Eltrotraw> "Maybe. What else did you hear about what happened there?"
<flibbyjibbits> he takes another, long sip of water from his glass, "Not too much, only what was discussed in our weekly correspondence. Supposedly, there was an underground tavern where there was a group acting as a middleman to hire out mercenaries for some variety of jobs. Just a routine purging, I suppose. I think there might have been some talk of what to do with the survivors, but my memory is too...
<flibbyjibbits> ...faint to remember what."
<Eltrotraw> Tombs merely nods in response.
