  5.
  6. +TheSpicyPotato __ This is long and I need sleep. I can't be bothered explaining it any better but you need to read the following ideas. So don't skim over it. Read it properly.
  7.
  8. I do think you genuinely believe this was a real event and so here is another way of looking at things.
  9.
  10. __
  11.
  12. You miss the part how we can look at street theatre and simply know it's street theatre without being able to prove it. You miss the part how you can watch a scene from a movie and know it's pretend without being able to prove it.
  13.
  14. You miss the part how a magician can cut his assistant in half on stage - but you know it didn't really happen - *even though it really looks like it did*. You *know* it's a trick - even though you cannot explain it or prove it.
  15.
  16. __
  17.
  18. The "problems" with insisting the event is fake (as you have been pointing out) is the same for the position of it being "real" (but you haven't made that connection yet).
  19.
  20. It could go either way.
  21.
  22. And so the position of it being "real" before it being "false" is only a reflection of your current belief bias.
  23.
  24. __
  25.
  26. What we see in this video is ridiculous. You asked for "proof". But there is none you are willing to accept.
  27.
  28. >> The proof of it being fake *is* the video *itself*. <<
  29.
  30. But you aren't able to perceive it that way and so the only evidence that can exist is automatically dismissed by you.
  31.
  32. Everything you are saying about "not being able to prove it is fake" applies equally to it "not being able to prove it is real".
  33.
  34. Do you understand? It can be either fake or it can be either real. *It can go either way because nothing we see in the video cannot have been staged*.
  35.
  36. Nothing in this video could not have been staged. Therefore to believe it happened - based on this - is an expression of trust. You are biased toward believing the nightly news. That's forgivable! We all start out that way.
  37.
  38. That you believe it is real means you are expressing your belief bias. *It suggests that you have trained yourself to believe what you see on the television*.
  39.
  40. From birth we have been training ourselves to believe what we are told. We train ourselves to suppress doubts. We do this to cope without going insane because we are living in a world that is psychologically abusing us every single day.
  41.
  42. __
  43.
  44. Most people believe the nightly news reports only about genuine events. That's the default belief. Every person who is communicating with you on this thread was once under the influence of that belief.
  45.
  46. When a person who believes it is real watches this they can only see it as real. They will cry "fake? what?? that's conspiracy theorist nonsense!"
  47.
  48. That's a response you have trained yourself to have. We all once had that same response. I remember when I first encountered someone who told me that the nightly news was bullsh!t and I laughed in their face. One of my few regrets in life was that I never got an opportunity to tell that person "hey - sorry - you were right".
  49.
  50. __
  51.
  52. Those who believe this is real simply have not yet realised it is possible to doubt. Doubt for them is not an option because they still trust what they are being shown.
  53.
  54. They trust. Once that trust is broken then doubts can arise.
  55.
  56. But you don't want to have the trust broken - because then it's scary. Then you're at risk of losing your mind. Then you might turn into one of those "conspiracy theorists"!
  57.
  58. __
  59.
  60. This video is *absurdly* fake. But if you can't see it - you can't see it. That's not your fault. As I say - we all grew up believing what we see on the television is real (especially the "nightly news").
  61.
  62. Everyone on this thread - at one point in their life - would have believed this news footage.
  63.
  64. It's only when you have managed to break away from that - then you can you see things as they really are.
  65.
  66. But that doesn't mean you are able to prove it. We are living in a lie system that knows to only tell lies that are believable and cannot be proven false. The lies we are told are accepted as possible and can be imagined true. The population is powerless to resist believing.
  67.
  68. It's only when the trust is broken that you can doubt.
  69.
  70. Do you realise you are trusting the same groups of people who once had us believe they dropped "atomic bombs" on Japanese men, women and children for the "greater good"?
  71.
  72. If dropping atomic bombs on men, women and children for the "greater good" is an option then why do you think lying to large numbers of men, women and children is an option that isn't on the table?
  73.
  74. Why would you ever *automatically* trust such people?! Because the nice reporter on the television has a face, voice and personality that is known to be trusted by the audience?
  75.
  76. You are being manipulated in so many ways both obvious and subtle.
  77.
  78. You are being engineered to convince yourself about the reality of events.
  79.
  80. After nearly 100 messages you have convinced yourself it is real and that we have no leg to stand on. The lie system has done a real number on you.
  81.
  82. __
  83.
  84. When an audience watches a magic trick - they are amazed! But when a magician watches a magic trick they are not amazed. Because they can see that it is a magic trick.
  85.
  86. We can see the trick for what it is. You currently cannot.
  87.
  88. The question is: do you want to be able to see the trick as a trick? Or do you want to continue to believe in magic?
  89.
  90. __
  91.
  92. Nothing about this video is believable.
  93.
  94. For this video to be real everything pointed out needs to be legitimate. The old man needs to not realise that it's deep water. The old man needs to have not have noticed another car becoming submerged. The old man needs to have not noticed the television crew. The old man needs to not know the dangers of passing through roads that have been flooded. The old man needs to have never been in a similar situation before (increasingly unlikely as a person gets older).
  95.
  96. >>> The old man needs to be *unrealistically stupid*. <<<
  97.
  98. You would never attempt to drive through such water. Neither would I. *So why do you assume the old man would?!* Because he's old?!
  99.
  100. All you are doing is finding ways to believe the lies. You are making it real in your own mind.
  101.
  102. Do you realise that an old man is just a young man who appears much older? He's not even that old. Not really. You need him to be SENILE - but he is not THAT old.
  103.
  104. I am not pointing these things out as "proof". None of these things are "proof". Each thing I point out has a value of zero in terms of proof and if I point out a hundred things - then a hundred times zero is still zero.
  105.
  106. The only proof that this video is fake is the video itself. But if you can't see it - then you can't see it.
  107.
  108. What you can accept is possible and imagine to be true becomes impossible for you to resist believing.
  109.
  110. You accept this event is possible. After all - you described the "old man" as being the kind of person who'd do this (what was the excuse for the younger woman??).
  111.
  112. You can imagine the event to be true because you were given a propaganda video to help you imagine it.
  113.
  114. Because you have been led to believe this was a real event *that is why you see it as a real event*. Your belief it is real footage follows your belief it is a real event.
  115.
  116. Even if it's fake - if you believe it is real you will see it as real.
  117.
  118. When a liar tells you a lie - but you believe the lie - then for you it is a truth. Although you have been told a lie - all you hear is truth.
  119.
  120. Because your belief it is the truth is what makes it the truth for you.
  121.
  122. That's how your mind works. That's how people every day are made to believe utter nonsense.
  123.
  124. __
  125.
  126. Worst of all - the nightly news is supposed to be on our side. It is supposed to report on real things. That's what makes it so evil.
  127.
  128. These news stories come with the suggestion it's real because it was presented to you by the nightly news. And the nightly news is your friend. And the nightly news only ever reports on real events.
  129.
  130. And the nightly news NEVER EVER reports about anything else. The nightly news never ever reports on things to reinforce social messages. The nightly news never ever broadcasts propaganda.
  131.
  132. The nightly news would never ever do that would they? Because they're your friend. They just want to inform you.
  133.
  134. And oh look - just as he was reporting about the dangers of driving through that flooded road - someone did! A "senile old man" drove right into it! And all the people watching at home got a strong message that they will never forget.
  135.
  136. Suddenly a message that the audience at home might only casually pay attention to - suddenly got elevated into an unforgettable moment.
  137.
  138. Everyone who watched that news event will never forget what happened and they will always remember it when they encounter a flooded road.
  139.
  140. You say it's real. I say "WHAT AN AMAZING STROKE OF LUCK! THAT THE OLD MAN WOULD DO WHAT HE DID AND SERVE AS A WONDERFUL LESSON FOR EVERYONE IN SUCH AN UNFORGETABLE WAY!"
  141.
  142. How amazing! How fortunate! How incredible.
  143.
  144. You have convinced yourself that it is real. Once you have done that you can't see it any other way.
  145.
  146. The hardest position to argue against is the position you have convinced yourself of as being true.
  147.
  148. We are going in circles. Everything that can be pointed out has already been pointed out. You have been given enough analogies and ideas to figure the puzzle out for yourself. If you can't - then good luck for you will need it.
  149.
  150. If after having written all of this I were to ask you a question it would be only this: *Do you believe the nightly news reports only about genuine events?*
  151.
  152. Or do you accept the nightly news might from time to time report on bullsh!t - such as this?
