  1. Arthur Rowan says, "Ah. Good you're here."
  2.
  3. Joy looks extremely unhappy.
  4.
  5. "Yes, we are. Despite your brother needing more rest, in my opinion."
  6. (Joy Rowan)
  7.
  8. Arthur eyed the magi present at his disposal- Bei and Theodore were the most evident Cosmic magi he'd immediately be aware of, but in his mind, there was also a plan to draw upon the likes of Perseus and Zoldak later on. At least, three or four would be required.
  9.
  10. "We've shed our blood trying to get the Divinity, the Shard, Joy. If Theodore is unable to pull himself together to hear out the news, then by all means - he can be dismissed."
  11.
  12. The impassionate tone of the younger Rowan was apparent. In an instant, the dozens, hundreds, and almost a thousand undead were swarming- all of them seemingly carrying something, walking inside fortification, majority carrying the tools for building. Is something happening?
  13.
  14. Turning his head to Undead crowd, Arthur barks an order.
  15.
  16. "Begin with construction of Star's platform! Create a platform with pillar support, and make a wall shelling around it!"
  17.
  18. It's simple enough. Though to some such wonders of architecture may look challenging, in reality, it was a simple defensive measure to be confident that the Star isn't going to... collapse.
  19.
  20. "Now, where did I stop--"
  21.
  22. "Once the construction for Star's platform is done, I will need all Cosmic magi we can muster in order to create the star. You will all channel your energy together to create it, and the Spire Shard is going to serve as a core."
  23.
  24. "Meanwhile, I will begin transporting first souls into it, hopefully with Lady Cho's or Lady Nyphadora's assistance, to ensure smoother process."
  25.
  26. "I need the Cosmic magi to be in prime shape as quick as possible."
  27. (Arthur Rowan)
  28.
  29. Arthur Rowan asks, "Nyphadora, do you happen to be Cosmic magi?"
  30.
  31.
  32. Nyphadora says, "Aha, no. Unfortunately that is not within my expertise."
  33. Nyphadora shimmers with magical concentration as their aura seems to search and poke around the area.
  34.
  35.
  36. Arthur Rowan says, "A pity. If you'll find free time, I'd like you to assist with... the orchestrating part of the Star's creation."
  37.
  38. Arthur Rowan says, "Last I remember at least, you were a Necromancer, unless I'm wrong."
  39.
  40. Nyphadora exclaims, "Of course, I'd be happy to!"
  41.
  42. Arthur Rowan says, "Amazing."
  43. Theodore Rowan whispers something.
  44.
  45. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  46.
  47.
  48. Joy Rowan says, "< *gives a cant of her head.* >"
  49. Theodore Rowan whispers something.
  50.
  51. Theodore Rowan whispers something.
  52.
  53. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  54.
  55. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  56.
  57. Theodore Rowan whispers something.
  58.
  59. Yue gives a slight glances to the crowd, Cho, then Dawn. But nothing, just listens.
  60. (Yue Lai)
  61.
  62. Theodore obviously doesn't sound enthusiastic.
  63. (Theodore Rowan)
  64.
  65.
  66. Nyphadora exclaims, "Hey Theyodore!"
  67. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  68.
  69.
  70. Nyphadora asks, "Remember, it is okay to feel down, yes? But just remember to get up again, okay?"
  71. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  72.
  73.
  74. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Hm."
  75.
  76. Theodore Rowan asks, "I'm dismissed, yes?"
  77. Jason shifted on the bench somewhat to peer at the big ol' group of more-likely-then-not very strong individuals. Resting his chin on the back of the bench.
  78. (Jason Vernados)
  79.
  80.
  81. Joy Rowan says, "Yes, he's dismissed you. Let's get a little more rest and recovery, love."
  82. Arthur heaves a sigh.
  83. (Arthur Rowan)
  84.
  85.
  86. Arthur Rowan says, "Yes. Yes, you are. Just be ready when you'll be called upon, and when construction is done."
  87.
  88. Just how far is he willing to go to make sure this dream will come true? She keeps to herself- the frown upon her features beginning to deepen, her gaze travelling elsewhere in nothing more than mere thought. Discontent riddles her features while he barks commands to all those that are around. Unhappiness flourishes within her body as she soon turns to the others to notice their features. It normally...Wasn't like him to simply run over another person's needs and necessities in such a fashion. It brings about distaste. It leaves something bitter within the soul...And she's almost sure that those around her might not accept such words either.
  89.
  90. "...It won't happen until the next year. We're all hurt." She says silently, her frown beginning to deepen. "In our attempt of grabbing the spire shard- we all got hurt, even you. I don't think that we should begin really constructing until we're atleast able to defend ourselves." Not only that, but they're also in the war as well.
  91.
  92. "-And sacrificing souls and things of that nature will draw attention to all of us, much, much more than Crafthold as well. We should, atleast, wait slightly so we can be ready and more prepared. I think we should take things a bit slow...Not too fast. Not too quickly. We can't rush recovery without alchemists. And I don't know if others would want to 'cannibalize' us for housing something that Eidolon had as well." The truth of the matter is...
  93.
  94. While she's not reluctant to do the star.
  95. She does enjoy some semblance of difference. The use of souls would ultimately force the star to become corrupt, especially through soul transference, wouldn't it?..
  96.
  97. His best bet might be finding a runescribe to write directives. To maybe, in some way, not have the need to use souls all together, but instead, use the mana circuits as 'fuel' to the device of puring necromancy. It could even hide in plain sight...Such as the angel along with the relics. It'd make a lot more sense then, wouldn't it?
  98. (Bei Bei)
  99.
  100. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  101.
  102. Theodore Rowan whispers something.
  103.
  104. Joy Rowan whispers something.
  105.
  106.
  107. Yue Lai says, "Okay, star..."
  108. To wait?
  109.
  110. No, that's not something he accepts at all. Even moreso, the moment last words to Theodore are given, he continues to extend his orders to the Undead that were already pre-occupied with preparing a solid platform for Star's conjuration - a mix of the Undead that were seen on the Necromancer's island, along with Jianghese slaves that were still not released from their servitude.
  111.
  112. And all of them working together like a buzzing nest of bees, passing the tools, the materials and more between each other, all to create the platform as quick as possible, and yet at highest quality they can manage. Restless workers surely is something, isn't it?
  113.
  114. "Make sure to build the foundation on the rooftop first, and only then proceed with the platform!"
  115.
  116. Constant guidance and supervision at once, unsurprising. Yet, overhearing Bei's words, there's a sharp glance back at her, like staring at something of annoyance, something that held him back and tried to ruin his plans.
  117.
  118. "I'm fully aware that we won't be able to conjure the Star anytime soon."
  119.
  120. "The manual labor of constructing the platform can be done by the Undead. Or would you rather join them and begin working with your own hands too?"
  121.
  122. He shakes his head. There's another glance to the construction that was now going at full speed, the sheer loudness of hammers and saws and other tools covering the entire square.
  123.
  124. This is bound to have no quiet around here for a while.
  125.
  126. "I already know how to construct it, and what's necessary."
  127.
  128. "Eidolon's star never intended to strip away the wounds of the soul. They purposefully kept the souls in eternal moment of death, forcing them to relive the horrors of their demise."
  129.
  130. "Ours won't. Ours will strip away all wounds and blemishes from souls, essentially cleansing and purging them."
  131.
  132. "Is that what you're concerned about?"
  133. (Arthur Rowan)
  134.
  135.
  136. Dawn Grauhimmel says, "< *holds back a laugh.* > Pfft. You sound like Stella, and we all know how she ended up."
  137. Dylerun simply exhales smoke, sighing.
  138. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  139.
  140. Yue steps away from the bench to move before the Grauhimmel family.
  141. (Yue Lai)
  142.
  143. Cho presses a single hand to her cheek. She says nothing.
  144. (Cho Grauhimmel)
  145.
  146.
  147. Arthur Rowan says, "Stella was also driven by a Sin, and surrounded by them. She never had any good intentions."
  148.
  149. Arthur Rowan says, "I'm simply doing what's necessary."
  150.
  151. Yue Lai says, "Oh, yes, star. The last time had so many problems. Ah, everyone wanted to destroy it."
  152. Dylerun very quickly glances over to Yue. He notices he is the only non-kitsune. He frowns.
  153. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  154.
  155.
  156. Yue Lai says, "Corruption... maybe that was it."
  157.
  158. Dawn Grauhimmel says, "Its your funeral, kid. Just remember - Stella was done in by her own people."
  159.
  160. Dawn Grauhimmel says, "I hope yours are as loyal. "
  161.
  162. Arthur Rowan says, "Do not speak of definitions of loyalty to me. Not you."
  163.
  164.
  165. Dawn Grauhimmel says, "You're a fucking fool, and any of these New Valmasians that give a damn about you would stop you before you start."
  166.
  167. Yue Lai says, "Ah- right. Hello Dawn. I would like to speak to you whenever you wish to."
  168.
  169. Dawn Grauhimmel asks, "Who are you?"
  170.
  171. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Pfft."
  172.
  173. Yue Lai says, "I am Yue Lai. Originally I wished to speak to you when you roamed in Crafthold, but time did not permit."
  174.
  175. Arthur Rowan says, "You, of all people, have no qualification to school me about foolish decisions."
  176.
  177. Arthur Rowan says, "Out of respect to Cho, I will not insult you, but do not push your luck."
  178. Yue smiles.
  179. (Yue Lai)
  180.
  181.
  182. Yue Lai says, "Hm, yes, the world is filled with cycles. I wonder if this is one."
  183. Dylerun Grauhimmel whispers something.
  184.
  185. Dawn Grauhimmel says, "Uh..."
  186.
  187.
  188. Dawn Grauhimmel says, "Yeah, okay."
  189.
  190. Jason Vernados says, "...Huuuhm."
  191.
  192. Where anxiety and desperation flourish within her being, there is something twisted that occurs. What comes with his gaze is twisted knots within her stomach- as if she were attempting to get in the way of his dreams and aspirations. As if she were the one to blame when she simply stated that they needed more time. If he hadn't noticed...He was pushing away those that had cared most about him. If he hadn't noticed, his brothers face was charred...Rea and the others were extremely injured, and all that he possessed at this moment, was the undead that he controlled. But...Instead of cherishing them and relinquishing what hubris he might have, it seems that their own feelings for one another doubles over.
  193.
  194. First, it comes within a wave of denial. He couldn't be talking to her like that- not when she told him that they were all too injured to really commit themselves one-hundred percent to the plan. Not when shewas simply giving him good advice since it'd make them a target. He...Wasn't ever like this before, was he? Or perhaps, it had always been this way.
  195.
  196. And then, there seems to be a moment of realization. The recollection of good times and clouded memories come within her being...As if, somehow, within the storm of her own emotion...She was capable of thinking clearly despite being 'hurt'. It is almost instinctual...She normally doesn't respond in ways such as this and yet...She does.
  197.
  198. "It's nothing."
  199.
  200. Spoken through gritted teeth. Her chest rising and falling, the promise of smoke and amethyst flames coming into existence. It was...As if, the years of repressed feelings were threatening to come about. And just when she could feel herself slipping. Instead, she turns away. It seems...
  201.
  202. That for now, it's best if she just went away. "It doesn't matter anymore." And she simply walks away, perhaps, in search of both Theodore and Joy for other reasons.
  203.
  204.
  205. (Bei Bei)
  206.
  207. There's a moment in which he turns back at her, only to notice the reminder of something that they shared in the past, but they share no more. It strikes at him, like a whipping that strikes at someone guilty, but the recollection soon fades, replaced by the whisper.
  208.
  209. 'Not worth it.'
  210.
  211. Maybe he didn't realize. Maybe he was slipping, or maybe he was already lost. There's naught but silence to which he observes her walk away- there's almost desire to follow, to speak to her about it, and yet, something else compels him otherwise.
  212.
  213. 'No. Stay.'
  214.
  215. The scarlet eyes of Adjudicator turn to the Undead crowd. He remains observant, commanding them through occasional word, through his thought and through his grasp over them, but otherwise, he's alone.
  216.
  217. Him, and his aspirations.
  218. (Arthur Rowan)
