  1. Every world has one - a place steeped in the mists of time and the gaudy tinsel of legends. El Dorado, Atlantis, Shangri-La. But all of those supposed paradises shrivel before Aira, City of Dreams, a name whispered throughout Azeron. Some say the wealth of a hundred generations of kings lie in it's hoary vaults, and the water alone is said to bring eternal youth. Yet others say that it carries a doom greater than that which befell Old Sarnath, and horrors from beyond time, things that would drive even the stoutest of men mad, lurk in it's ruined halls.

  3. Of course, nibidy believes in this anymore. After all, this is the modern age. A time of self-powered chariots, golem servants, dog-eared tomes and occasional explosion. Magitech has come to Azeron, a compromise between the emerging steampunk revolution in the south and the ancient sorcery and occult traditions of the north. Money and power are everything in this world, and the pursuit of wealth is of greater importance than fatal quests for some old wife's tale. Nobody cares for good, old-fashioned adventuring anymore.

  5. That is until, during a brif stop at a public house in bustling Arkham, a piece of parchment is shoved under your nose like a student handing in a last-minute essay.
  6.
  7. "Um, excuse me, sir? Are you an adventurer?"

  10.
  11. Aira, City of Dreams is a Dungeon World campaign based on the works of HP Lovecraft and George Mann. Four to six players are best required for this campaign.
  12.
  13. Setting: Azeron is a land caught between the polished brass of steampunk and the sparkly lights of magic. As you travel north from the capitalist hub of the world, you will encounter people and places embracing either the trappings of modern life, the simplicity of the old ways or the strange, unexplored territory of Magitech. Every village and landmark has a story to tell, some good and some bad, and others sitting indecisively on the fence about the whole morality thing. But your eyes are always fixed on the prize ahead of you - the legendary mountains of Kadeth, where the ancient city of Aira is said to reside. But getting there is just the start...
  14.
  15. Characters: Your characters are either modern men born in the developed cities, country folk born in the simple hamlets or anything in between. They should either be used to adventuring already, curious folk looking to make their way or yearning for the days when the world wasn't mapped out - in contrast to most of the people you'll meet. Any class and race is fine - make some races up, if you want!
