  1. [02:35] Across the many moons of intrepid expansions of their tales of adventure, the coinciding conclusion brought by their previous forays had melded a miniscule fathomability of a secondary attainment.
  2.
  3. Across their own foray across the harmless mirth of caverns within Starfall's outskirts, there lay the crumpling nests; emptied for the rising tides of a new season's change.
  4.
  5. Still, adorned in composite costumes, there lay a minor aspect of their false lives; continuing. "My dearest Cage, would these creatures not suffice for your eventual undertaking?" The Lady questions, the tip of her staff used to prod upon the olden bones of long deceased animals. "These may be brittle, yet I sense a foreboding essence from them..."
  6.
  7. Slowly does a finger grasp upon one of the smaller aspects of bones from their surroundings. A minor predator, before, had surely been here. "These might prove useful, would you not think so?"
  8.
  9. "Perhaps someone from the town could fashion it as something grander." The suggestion glides as she lays the item back down upon the earthy pitch. "I do believe it would fit you quite perfectly."
  10. (Lady Astoria)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [02:55] Crimson pinpricks within empty sockets stare forth, unblinking in their malevolent brood upon their dank cavernous locale. Therein lay the bones that his companion did spy, brought to the attention of a sorcerer most evil.
  14.
  15. "Pitiful. They lack blood, same as I, yet their cage's are not as animate as mine own. A tragic fate, to pass so uselessly into the annals of history."
  16.
  17. A sized glove of purple weave reaches down to poke through the haphazard remnants of what once was.
  18.
  19. "Within my grasp, they shall find a purpose far more promising. Take several of the most promising amongst the refuse." The skeletal visage declares, claiming one particular bone that was lengthy, thin.
  20.
  21. Had he just found the femur of some forgotten meal?
  22. (Cage)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [03:03] "Hm, rotten refuse. Normally, I would have had my lackeys collected them," she sighs. "However, such is not exactly a choice for this one at this moment."
  26.
  27. Carefully in pinched and softly detached motions does the staff upon the Lady's presence be used to dig as a means to improvise.
  28.
  29. To be pushed upon the work of sifting through the deceased. Had she known this were her fate, mayhaps the turncoat departure from her seat be made less probable.
  30.
  31. But alas, cest la vie.
  32.
  33. Amongst the rubble lies multitudes of ivory. That of common prey lies their bones and skulls. Birds, mice, and the occasional minor bird here and there. Yet one in-particular would catch upon the gaze of the one-eyed woman. A larger prize.
  34.
  35. "Perhaps... those that had dwelled here once attained something grander than most." With a soft tap of her staff lies the growth of a larger set of bones. Cattle, it seems. What with its bovine nature combined with the protruding horns that had long built itself upon the skull.
  36.
  37. A ram? Goat? Surely, it were in the same family. "You would not happen to think this one might be an ideal centerpiece? Well, apart from the crass other shards of bones here and there."
  38. (Lady Astoria)
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. [03:30] Truly dour was the scene, so littered with the gleaming alabaster foundation of animals long since passed. A witch of profound might, and a skeleton with godly abs.
  42.
  43. Who would have expected to find such a duo picking apart the fallen?
  44.
  45. As the accursed woman alights upon what looks to be the skull of a bovine, crimson pinpricks swivel towards it as inspection commences. "Oh? I can feel the ancient malice within this."
  46.
  47. "It's forgotten wrath shall be the cornerstone of my budding return to power incarnate." Cage's declaration made, his own search amongst the refuse bears further fruit. Fruit of an ivory nature.
  48.
  49. Thicker than the lengthy bone that he had found earlier, it looked to be similar to that of a wing of an avian creature. An oversized chicken? Or perhaps something akin to a vulture.
  50.
  51. "What of this? It's curvature would make a fine decorative accent for the skull, no?"
  52. (Cage)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [03:36] A finger caressed upon the chin of the witch. She lingers a gaze upon the gnarled aspect of what was once an airborne being, now laid to rest.
  56.
  57. If she were not accustomed to the decay like this, the might have hurled at its sight.
  58.
  59. "I'll see if any of the appraisers at town would be willing to point us to a sufficient blacksmith; assuming we have the requisite gold to hire one. However I believe she should not be at a point of worry with our last quest's completion." Albeit her form and the pale-eyed Constance may share the same form, her detachment to her craft and the Lady's own missives grew clear. "I am sure that will make a lovely holding for the centerpiece."
  60.
  61. "From one cusp of a bone to another, it shall hold aflot the head that would prove any enemy's downfall." With a whisk would the items be procured, set aside for their own usage. "Anything else?"
  62. (Lady Astoria)
  63. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. [03:37] Lady Astoria says, "*we should not be "
  66. [03:54] The remainder of the refuse is given a glance over, and with a shake of his skeletal visage does the potent sorcerer decline the remaining options amongst yesteryear's pile.
  67.
  68. Procurement of the items completed shortly before, the deep rasp of Cage's tones call out in response to the witch. "Nay, nothing else of worth catches the eye."
  69.
  70. "Let us depart then, and allow these forgotten cages to wither away into nothing."
  71. (Cage)
