  3. Some runners have approached me to organise another tournament. I'm really happy the last one was such a success (at least in my opinion) and would happily want to organise another one. However, since it hasn't been that long ago that the last tourney took place, I would like to bring some vaiation into the tournament format. Unlike the previous tournament, the tournament will not be organised as a double bracket elimination. Unlike last time, I must have enough runners to join though. If people don't like it, it can always be switched back to double bracket format.

  8. Basically, I want to implement more categories into the tournament and not just simply let the runners decide what they will have to do. The tournament will consist of a group stage that will take place over the course of 3 weeks. Just like last tourney, each week will be a different round. This time though, each round will also be a different category. This way, each runner will be in the tournament for at least 3 weeks and will have the opportunity to shine in a different category than just any%. After each round, the swqinner will recieve the highest amount of points, 2nd place 2nd most etc.

  10. After the group stage, the first 2 runners of each group will advance into a single bracket elimination phase. Just like in group stage, each week will consist of a different category.   14. Rules are pretty much the same as last time:

  16. - Each player must submit his/her run before the deadline through either a youtube video or twitch highlight. If you do this after the deadline, even though your time is faster than your opponent, you will be disqualified for that round (you might still go through to loser's bracket if the format will be double elimination).
  17. - The video has to be specifically made for this tournament and has to be sent to me or anyone else who might mod this tourney. You cannot submit a video that was uploaded before the time period from each round. (of course, if you get a good time, you can also submit the run to speedrun.com if you like)
  18. - The runs can be done on PC only. The version (EPC, UK Box, multipatch,...) are runner's choice. It IS ALLOWED to change exe's after saving!
  19. - The run can be segmented, but remember that in-game time will be used (unless shown otherwise for the category). Saving loses seconds... (therefore, make sure you show your IGT at the end of your video)
  20. - You can only submit ONE VIDEO PER ROUND. So if your time got beaten after you uploaded, you will lose the round.
  21. - When IGT is used for the round, if 2 players get the same time, the person who uploaded first will go through! (so it can be a strategic move to wait until the very end to submit, but keep this rule in mind when you do)
  22. - The people in the group stage that you will verse and the level you will have to run will be randomised. Dragon's Lair and Home Sweet Home will be disabled! (unless people really want to run these levels LUL)
  23. - Unlike last time, all levels will be immediately picked up into the rotation!

  26. Who can join/ How to join?

  28. Anyone can join, but it would be strongly advised to have some knowledge about speedrunning this game when you do. It would be quite unfortunate if you end up against a pro and you don't even know where to start... (Also, yes I will be competing as well :p )

  30. If you want to join, send me (koboltovich) a message via twitch or let me know in the discord server (or let me know in any other way basically). I don't want to wait too long with setting up the brackets, so please sign up before SUNDAY 10TH OF JUNE (the lottery will be streamed on my channel at 21:00 pm that evening). If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else that knows more about the tournament.

Just like last time, I'm very excited for this tournament and am curious whether or not the current 'Tomb Raider II IL god' (Makeal) will be able to keep his championship title.As of right now though, I am not sure if I will join myself since I have to study right now and can't afford putting too much effort in this. I might, I might not, we'll see. :)
