Lens Flare

In the near future, something known as the Quest app is becoming very popular. Created by an investing and technology company, it claims to take nearly any user inputted data and find some kind of use for it. Users are given a "level" that determines how much data they can have being processed by the system at one time. What you input can increase your level, and high level users may start getting paid by the system and receive requests from it.

The MC is a high school senior who is a high level user of this application and primarily does photography for it. After the initial setting dump, we see the MC overhearing some girls gossiping over how a top student dropped out of school to pursue the requests of the Quest app full time like it was some kind of job, and how this is becoming increasingly common. The MC looks at his phone to see the request that has been pending since last night, and just tells himself that he's already in his last year and it doesn't make sense to drop out now. Another ordinary day ends, but as MC is leaving, he receives a new request: follow the girl who is waiting for him at the school gates. Sure enough, there is a younger girl in a slightly eccentric outfit there waiting for him.

They introduce themselves to each other, showing their phones with the requests they've been given. The girl's phone says that she's suppose to ask the MC for help. He's confused by this, but then the girl asks what MC does. He tells her about the photography and she lets an "oh" as though she realized something really obvious. The girl explains she's "kind of" a model while showing some embarrassment over calling herself that. She brings up her recent submissions on the Quest app and shows MC some of the pictures of herself in weird outfits, and this is when he notices that her level is extremely high. He expresses surprise at this and the girl responds "Eh? Don't you know that in-person meetings are only requested for very high level users?"

The MC responds that he doesn't keep up with the etiquette of the "Quest Elite" because he's not that high himself, at least compared to them. This prompts the girl to ask what the MC's level is. He shows her and she is puzzled for a second, but then has another "oh" moment and states that of course the MC is low because he's not full time. Moving on, she asks MC if he'll help her with taking pictures and he agrees. She starts walking, MC noticing that it's the same direction his house is in, but then stops after a few steps. She tells MC that he should probably bring his own camera in case he's more comfortable with that. They continue walking and eventually stop at a house. The girl says that this is where she lives and that it's a good thing she came first so she doesn't have to bother explaining how to get there. They part for that time while MC goes to retrieve his camera.

MC returns to the girl's house and gets let in. He immediately notices how the living room has been striped down and turned into a place for shooting photos. MC asks the girl if she's been doing this by herself and she tells him yeah, and also that he's the first person she's ever invited into this house. He says that it must be difficult to do these things by herself and is surprised that she never had help before. The girl says "Well maybe nobody was ever right for me before", then blushes when she realizes what she just said.

From there, it's just a normal cute romance with photography, fashion, and technology. We learn that other people who know about the girl and her level have teased her by calling her the "computer's bride" or saying things like "ah, so the machine is a lolicon."

Colorless

MC is a boy growing up in a world where nearly everybody has colored rings around their necks, with him being one of the rare exception. He has tried asking others about the rings, and while they acknowledge their existence, they always act like the boy said something really rude and refuse to say anything more. Most rings are blue, some are yellow, and very rarely will there be a red ring. The rings exist in different levels of lightness, with darker rings being more common among older people.

One day, the MC is walking around looking at the people around him, a habit he has had for a long time because of his situation, and sees a girl with a black ring around her neck. He has never seen one so dark, especially not on somebody so young, so he starts following her. They come to a busy train station and he ends up close to her because of the crowd slowing her down. Without having any real intentions, he reaches out and touches the girl's neck. She turns around and the ring around her neck begins turning white. She meets eyes with the boy for a moment, then she starts looking around like she doesn't know where she is, or she's forgotten something. Then she starts seeming really panicked and runs off while pushing through the crowd.

The boy loses track of the girl after she runs off and just goes on with his life normally for a couple weeks. He tries looking for her a few times, but realizes it's very hard without that distinctive black ring making her stand out. Eventually, while loitering around the train station from that day, on a day when it's not so busy, the girl is there and calls him out. Her ring is now a very light yellow. She demands to know what the boy did to her and he expresses that he doesn't really know himself. She talks about how she has lost a lot of memories and has been living with a relative in a different place because she doesn't know where she used to live. Her relative also won't tell her anything and says that it's good that she has forgotten, which is why she went to look for the boy.

The boy tries to explain what happened better, bringing up the rings this time, and the girl gives him the same uncomfortable look that every other person he has talked to about the rings gives him. With a frustrated tone, she claims that it's wrong to just erase a part of somebody and that he should really face some sort of consequence for this. But the subject of "this", talking about it for so long has made the girl tired and she starts trudging off. The boy inhales as if to say something, and the sound causes the girl to quickly spin around and raise her arm across her neck. She yells "don't touch me" despite the boy having neither moved nor said anything, then awkwardly turns back around while stumbling into a running pace.

Not Mine

MC is an elementary school boy with an overworked single mom. She's got a good attitude and tries her best to be there for him whenever she can, but he can tell that she goes through a lot. He's mature for his age and works hard to make sure his mother doesn't have to worry about him. It's cute to watch the two of them try to sneakily do favors for each other.

One day, his mom is in a good mood and jokingly fires a "Love Beam<3!" at his lunch box. That day's lunch turns out to be some of her best work.

After school, MC sees a girl getting attacked by some sort of monster and transforms into a masked sentai hero, easily defeating the beast and saving the day.

Later, his mom comes home late and has to bring home premade dinners. MC tries to tell his mom what happened and show her his transformation into a hero, but he can't do it. He quickly realizes that his power comes from his mother's love beam, and that to keep fighting evil and making her proud he'll have to double down on making sure she's happy, getting what she needs and has time to spend together with him.

Each episode closes with MC telling his half-asleep mom about the monsters he fought and the good he did for world peace, and her trying her best to pay attention and show how proud she is.

Then people make a bunch of shotacon doujins and ruin everything.

Kryn

It has been 13 months since the Kryn were first discovered on Earth. Every Kryn is identical: a single nanoscoptic molecule that nonetheless qualifies as a living organism thanks to its ability to produce strong "decider fields". The universe exists as a singular path through a sea of infinite possibilities, and that path will always follow an increase in the strength of decider fields. Reality itself swerves to avoid the destruction of Kryn and ensure the creation of Kryn, except when it would result in a boom and bust cycle. If the Kryn have appeared, it means a planet is destined to eventually be consumed by them.

The main character is a Japanese boy who graduated from high school shortly after the discovery of the Kryn and is struggling to figure out what he is going to do in this world that is undergoing drastic changes. Those who choose to ignore the inevitable assimilation find themselves able to harness the reality-bending power of the Kryn and apply it to any creative endeavor they wish. Anything they want, they gradually gain the skills necessary to make it happen. MC's little sister is one of these people.

MC's sister spends all of her time doing things like painting, making clothing, creating music, and cooking, all while seeking approval from her onii-chan. It always works a little bit, but his smile is never lasting. Eventually, she starts resorting to lewd methods.

Light Side

An anime where the MC is a photographer who specializes in taking cute and sexy pictures of little girls. There are four main girls that he takes pictures of, and they're all accompanied by an older relative.

Haruka(12) is a confident tomboyish girl who tries to be sexy, but her lack of refinement makes her come across as slutty. She is accompanied by her father, who is lenient with but also always worrying about his daughter.

Ryuko(7) is a girl who is clueless about many things because of her age, but she is very good at communicating and it sometimes makes her seem wise beyond her years. She is accompanied by her mother, who seems just as cheery and innocent as her daughter.

Yumi(10) is a shy girl, but builds up some confidence over time. She is accompanied by her older brother, who worries about Yumi having poor self-image.

Kumaki(8) is a very curious girl and is always asking questions to make sure she's acting the right way, and shows a lot of interest in the other girls and the pictures MC has taken. She is accompanied by her older sister, who is friends with MC.

Haruka learns to be more tactful, and interacting with Ryuko causes her to awaken a motherly side of herself. Yumi starts off only doing group shots because it lets her think that people won't be looking at her, but constant encouragement from Kumaki convinces her to do a solo by the end.

Ten Thousand Demons

After a devastating wildfire destroys much of the amazon rainforest, a mysterious plant-like structure is found growing from the ashes, which is then named Adam. It is discovered that tissue samples taken from Adam can be grafted onto any type of plant, but the results vary. Some plants seem to fully integrate the tissue while others are parasitized by it. It is eventually narrowed down to lifespan: Adam's tissues will not become parasitic in any lifeform that would quickly die from it. It's as though the pieces of Adam are capable of short-term but not long-term thinking.

Fast forward 7 months, we cut to MC, a third year high school boy walking home from school. A storm rolls in and MC gets struck by lightning, getting knocked out in the process. When he wakes up, he finds a naked young girl leaning over him, who has streaks of patterned discoloration going across her body and hair. The moment she notices MC is awake, she bolts. Before MC can even finish getting up, she has disappeared without a trace. He then discovers that he was laying on a raised bed of moss, and that a bush had been shaped around him to keep the rain away.

He hurries home and tries to figure out what the fuck is going on. He looks in a mirror and sees that his eyes have gone foggy. He blinks, and he sees himself blink. He can still see even when he closes his eyes. When he thinks back to the girl, the walls of his house and the surrounding area turn transparent, and he finds himself focusing on a location miles away. There, he sees the girl. She lets out an "eek" when she realizes she's being watched, and then starts exerting her own power to push MC's perception away. Before he gets blocked out, he tries to ask her name. MC returns to his normal range of perception and finds a white Lily in his grasp.

From then on, the anime is about MC chasing after Lily and trying to figure out the meaning of all this.

First Autumn

MC was a meteorologist working in Japan. Walking home during one hot summer day, he suddenly found himself getting warmer and warmer until he was literally dying from unnatural heat. The next thing he knows, he's plunged into deep, dark, cold waters. He panics and instinctively starts swimming upwards, only to be met with a woody surface. The heat from before returns and a jet of flame erupts from his body, blasting a hole through the woody barrier and also propelling him through the hole it created.

MC wakes up in a barren sandy desert. His cloths are still soaked, which he doesn't mind given the immediate circumstances. He begins walking and, as the sun begins to set, he sees the outline of a huge figure in the distance. He gets closer and realizes it's a motherfucking huge tree. The land gets less sandy and deserty as he gets closer, until he sees the distant traces of civilization.

MC gets taken into custody and learns that he is what people call a "phantom", except they've never seen a "living" phantom before. As the name suggests, phantoms are ghostly beings from our world that can weakly interact with this desert world. MC ends up getting stuck with the people who study phantoms. In passing, he learns that there is a group of bandits called The Sun Bearers who wield supernatural control over fire and seek to destroy the Tree of Life in order to usher in a new age.
