- Sophie: Hi, Mitama!
- Mitama: Sister approaches/What could she need, I wonder/Oh well, she will ask.
- Sophie: I did actually want to ask you something. Do you still have that book Papa gave you when we were little?
- Mitama: My collection of haiku? Of course I still have it.
- Mitama: It awakened me/To my talents with a brush/It's very precious.
- Sophie: Could I borrow it sometime? I promise I'll be really, really careful with it!
- Mitama: Did Father not get you your own copy?
- Sophie: No, not that I can remember... I think there might have been a different book he got me?
- Sophie: And it was before Avel, so I know he couldn't have eaten it!
- Mitama: Sister's ornery horse/Inspires no confidence/In my book's safety.
- Sophie: That's...! A fair point, I guess.
- Sophie: I'll just need to find the book that Papa gave me instead! Then we'll both have our special books!
- Mitama: I wish you good luck/In your search for memories/And your special book.
- Sophie: Thanks, Mitama.
- B
- Mitama: That book you're reading/Looks well-worn with touch and time/What is it about?
- Sophie: Oh, this? It's the book of rhymes I got from Papa when I was little!
- Sophie: It took some searching, but I managed to find it.
- Mitama: "1001 Limericks To Shake Your Bones"? That...sounds like something Father would buy.
- Sophie: Do you wanna hear one?
- Mitama: I suppose I could spare a moment.
- Sophie: "There once was a knightess from Nohr,
- Who thought that her horse was a bore,
- Got a wyvern instead, but he went for her head,
- And now that knightess is no more."
- Mitama: ......
- Sophie: ......
- Mitama: ...Hm.
- Sophie: You know, I don't remember them being this...dark.
- Mitama: Are they all like that?/Touched by humorous violence/Father WOULD buy that.
- Sophie: Let's try another one, maybe?
- Sophie: "The archer that shot from afar,
- He had a peculiar scar,
- When asked to explain, he'd tell you to abstain,
- From asking a Faceless to spar."
- Mitama: You read this as a child?
- Sophie: I had to have! I know this is the book I kept in my room!
- Mitama: Father's sense of humor is odd, indeed...
- Sophie: There's no way any of these limericks are kid-friendly!
- Sophie: Oh, no... If Daddy finds out I was reading something like this, what would he say?!
- Mitama: Best to put it back where you found it, Sister.
- Mitama: Beyond that issue/It'd be wise to ask Father/Where he got this book.
- A
- Sophie: Mitama! Hey, Mitama!
- Mitama: Sophie. Did you ask Father about the book?
- Sophie: I did, yeah. You'll never believe it!
- Mitama: I won't hold my breath/Our father is very odd/Nothing is weird now.
- Sophie: Apparently, when I found out you'd gotten a book, I cried SO loud for SO long that Papa panicked and gave ME the book he bought for Prince Corrin!
- Mitama: That atrocious book/A gift for our commander?/What was he thinking?
- Sophie: I think it was supposed to be a birthday gift? You know how Papa's sense of humor is.
- Mitama: (Oh, I'm aware...)
- Sophie: Anyway, after he got back to the army, he forgot all about it!
- Sophie: He took it back after I told him, though...and made me promise not to tell Daddy.
- Sophie: ......
- Mitama: Sophie? Is something wrong?
- Sophie: It's...nothing, really. Even though it was a terrible book, it was still something I had since I was little. I guess I'm just missing it.
- Mitama: Sister, don't be sad/I will share my book with you/Let's read together.
- Sophie: You really mean it?! You aren't afraid I'll ruin it?
- Mitama: Yes, I'm sure. We'll just keep that horse of yours very, VERY far away.
- Sophie: You're the best, Mitama! I promise I'll write the very best haikus to thank you!
- Mitama: As long as they stay appropriate...
