  1. Esme saunters into the school lecture hall, leatherbound journal under arm with the intention of seeing what take on Necromancy Aldrah had to offer. After all, to aid her father in completing his transformation and attaining further power, she'd need more than just one practitioner's tutelage.
  2.
  3. Taking a seat at the front of the class, she'd shuffle in her seat and take out a small charcoal pencil. A small partially decayed dove floated through the window to perch upon her shoulder, seemingly holding a small parcel in it's talons. It perched atop the one of the bookshelves and remained silent, whilst Esme took out some notes she'd left at her workstation.
  4.
  5. "Whenever you're ready to begin, Ser Aldrah."
  6. (Esme Rowan)
  7.
  8. Gabriel softly scribbled a letter towards the teacher as it says: Hello sir i am gabriel i hope being mute does not provide a problem with learning necromancy and i am pretty nervious so i hope i can be a good student.
  9. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  10.
  11. Aldrah picked up and read the letter, where as he finished reading, he just spoke in a calm tone, "No, it will not be a problem" Aldrah nodded, "And as long as you listen to what I say and do everything right, you'll be a good student. "
  12. (Aldrah)
  13.
  14. He nods with a smile seeming a bit calmer now and relaxed as he tried to focus and try his best as he gave a thumbs up seeming just look at the teacher too not get distracted. hopefully it does not come off as weird or flirty for staring at the teacher.
  15. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  16.
  17. The necromancer sat in his chair, staring at those who had come to his necromancy class, a calm expression on his face, as usual. He was surrounded by some undeads, carrying boxes containing animal bodies, such bodies that would be used in the necromancy class.
  18.
  19. A nod was given to Esme, while Aldrah slowly stood up, he walked to the center of the place and began to speak, "Well, for those who do not know me, my name is Aldrah, Knight of the Legion and a Necromancer." Aldrah folded his arms and began to float back, "I decided to start teaching necromancy, because Dawn needs more necromancers... And also, because I will need assistance for future projects that are going to benefit our city."
  20.
  21. He snapped his fingers and the undeads began to move closer, placing the boxes at his feet, "Before I begin to distribute the bodies of the animals, I need to know if any of you already have any knowledge of necromancy, alright?" He stopped floating and leaned against the table, now waiting for the students to respond.
  22. (Aldrah)
  23.
  24. He gently shaked his head only a few pointers as he scribbled towards the teacher: only a little bit but i have decided to learn ice magic to keep bodies fresh of decay. not that i ever acquired any bodies but just learned in case it was required mister teacher.
  25. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  26.
  27. Esme Rowan says, "I must ask first."
  28.
  29. Esme Rowan asks, "Will this be an intermediate class, or a beginner class?"
  30.
  31. Esme gestures toward her undead crow familiar, perched on the bookshelf to the right.
  32. (Esme Rowan)
  33.
  34. Esme Rowan says, "As you can see, I'm more looking at advanced theory."
  35.
  36. Well, this class was just a start, since Aldrah would first need to see who was willing to learn, so it was clear that it was an intermediate class, "It would be an intermediary, since it involves two processes of necromancy." Aldrah nodded, "Corpus Creare which is the process of restoring the damaged body and Viscus Vitae which is the process of filling the body with fluids."
  37.
  38. Aldrah moved forward and snapped his fingers again, thus causing the undeads to start opening the boxes, "Any more questions before we get started?"
  39.
  40. (Aldrah)
  41.
  42. He seems to curiously focused on the teacher and the boxes.
  43. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  44.
  45. Esme Rowan says, "Hm, I suppose I can stay to add to some of my research already. After all, I'll need to assure my personal compendium is of top quality."
  46.
  47. Esme opened her personal bound book, opening to a page already started on the subject. After all, she needed to assure her information was solid if this was to be the manual she referred to during all her experiments. So, she'd listen and learn from the more experienced Necromancer here.
  48.
  49. Sors taught more advanced processes, with combat application. But Aldrah's theory only fed her yearning to learn this art and master it. Her father couldn't do this forever, and there where ambitions of her own that she'd need strength to achieve.
  50.
  51. Folding one leg over the other again, she'd shuffle back and listen intently as the teacher gave their lecture.
  52. (Esme Rowan)
  53.
  54. Well, without further question, then Aldrah could definitely start the class! He started again by snapping his fingers, two undeads removed frozen animal bodies from inside the boxes. A boar, which was placed on Esme's desk and then a mouse that was placed on Gabriel's desk, both bodies were thawed afterwards by Aldrah.
  55.
  56. The boar's body was damaged in two spots on his stomach and spine, for he had been pierced by a sword. His stomach was damaged and his spine was broken.
  57.
  58. The rat on the other hand, had a cut in his chest where the heart had been pierced.
  59.
  60. "We will start with the Corpus Creare process." Aldrah nodded, "In necromancy, we can not revive beings, if their bodies are damaged, in principal the main points of their mana circuits." He spoke as he turned and walked toward the blackboard.
  61.
  62. Standing in front of the blackboard, he began to draw a human body, which would be used to represent the main points, "The circuits of mana have some main points." He continued drawing, circling some organs, which were the ones main points, "Brain, spine, heart and stomach... If these points are damaged, it will not be possible to revive the target." He stopped drawing and went toward the armchair.
  63.
  64. Sitting down, he continued, "First I want you two to repair the damaged parts before proceeding to the next process." Aldrah nodded, "If you need help, just call."
  65. (Aldrah)
  66.
  67. He raises his hand and scribbles curiously: How do you repair a pierced heart teacher aldrah? do i stitch it back up together or something more complex?
  68. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  69.
  70. Esme reached for the basin beside her, washing her hands some. Given by the swiftness of her preparation, it was clear that Sors had given her prior instruction on ensuring that a corpse was ready for re-animation.
  71.
  72. Reaching for a scalpel, she'd make pin-point precisions in order to poke around within the boar carcass in a similar fashion to an autopsy. Crimson hues unwavering in focus as she worked, she stared down at the damaged areas of the boar's vitals.
  73.
  74. This wouldn't be too tricky. If she just fused the broken bone pieces with a mesh made from melted admantine; the boar's spine would return to good enough working order to raise it. The stomach however... was a different story entirely.
  75.
  76. Reaching for a clamp to keep her abdominal incision open on the boar, Esme reached in to slide the stomach out into view so she can remove the spear debris and begin to stuture the damage with a threading needle.
  77.
  78. Without the need for asking questions, the young Lady Rowan can finally be heard unrolling her sleeves and placing her cloak on the back of the chair as she finishes the task given and fixes the entry points.
  79. (Esme Rowan)
  80.
  81. Gabriel seemed to get a by anxious but he softly grabbed threading needle and started to sew up the heart first as he used his beginner wind magic to slowly make the heart bigger so its not deflated of lack of blood flow and after that he quikly stopped with the air supply and sews up the last bit of the heart as he now starts sewing up the cut chest and the fur trying to be precise and careful to not ruin the rat he was given and slowly puts the needle aside when sewing it up.
  82. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  83.
  84. Aldrah got up and went to Gabriel's table, but when he went to offer the help, the young man had already completed the work. Then Aldrah just nodded and headed toward Esme's més, where seeing that the young woman did not need help, it would make everything easier. Apparently both already had some practice.. Very good.
  85.
  86. He went to the table and leaned back, "Well, now that the Corpus Creare process has been complete, we can continue." Aldrah nodded. "The next process is the Viscus Vitae. Before I start, any of you two have a questions?"
  87. (Aldrah)
  88.
  89. He curious scribbled: what is viscus vitae?
  90. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  91.
  92. Aldrah turned and went to the blackboard that he had drawn the human body, "Viscus Vitae is the process where we fill the body with fluids, since when we kill beings like animals and humans, they tend to lose blood." Aldrah stopped and began to draw lines by the body, symbolizing the veins, "To fill the body with fluids, we first need access to the veins, where a good spot is the pulse or near the heart." Aldrah nodded.
  93.
  94. He turned and looked at Gabriel and Esme, then back at the blackboard, he began to write three names next to the body, "We can use three liquids to fill the body with fluids." He stopped for a second, finishing writing, "Water, Oil and Blood," he said pointing to the names, each time he spoke one of them.
  95.
  96. This process is of extreme importance to necromancy, since the fluids have to be full to the necromancer be able to revive some being.
  97.
  98. "Wizards of blood and water have an advantage in this process, because the wizard of blood obviously produces blood and the water magi generates water." Aldrah nodded and began to generate a small bubble of water on his finger, "I want you two to fill the body with fluids, find a vein and use it to send the fluids to the body." He made the water disappear and he remained silent. Waiting for any questions from the two students or they start the process.
  99. (Aldrah)
  100.
  101. He seems to curiously think as he makes a block of ice appear and melts it with the... tools? thats there? but before he melts it he tries to find a vein to fill rat with tube with the device for it as the ice melts and becomes water he keeps filling the rat when it seems there is enough curiously experimenting his technique hoping the teacher does not mind it. he was pretty eager to learn.
  102. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  103.
  104. Esme nodded gently, turning to face the boar outstretched on her workstation. This shouldn't be too difficult for her, as long as she begins to feed the blood intravenously through a few vital points.
  105.
  106. Inserting three IVs with blood packs attached, fetched rather hastily by two of Aldrah's undead assistants, Esme began to pump the necessary amount of blood into the steadily repairing boar carcass. To speed up the process, Esme rolled her sleeves up and began to perform light compressions on the chest to pump the heart; this was all to ensure that the circulation of blood began to make it's way around the entire body.
  107.
  108. More importantly, as she refers to previous attempts at such a procedure: the brain.
  109.
  110. After finishing up and stepping back, bloodied hands kept clutched to a rag, Esme would look up to
  111. (Esme Rowan)
  112.
  113. Esme Esme would look up to Aldrah, awaiting further instruction rather patiently. It seemed she was heavily engaged with the class, to the point of even stopping to take notes in her personal compendium.
  114. (Esme Rowan)
  115.
  116. "After filling the body with fluids, close the place used to send the fluids." Aldrah nodded.
  117.
  118. He stood up, keeping his hands behind him, began to walk, looking. The class was going without major problems, but the only thing that brought disgust to the necromancer was that it did not have many students..
  119.
  120. "As soon as you two complete this process, I will give you the next instructions." He spoke, stopping in the middle of the room, looking at Esme and then at Gabriel.
  121. (Aldrah)
  122.
  123. He gave a soft nod.
  124. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  125.
  126. Esme had no need to close the areas used to administer the blood, due to only using needles to reach vital points where blood begins to circulate, with needles.
  127. (Esme Rowan)
  128.
  129. The necromancer turned and went to the blackboard, he made several circles around the brain in the body drawn from the blackboard before he began to speak, "Now we will go into the process of reviving the being." Aldrah nodded.
  130.
  131. This process was the most delicate, because now they would have to insert mana in the circuits, where an oversight could generate some problems.
  132.
  133. "I want you to focus on the head, because through the brain, the mana will go to the spine, then to the heart that will pump the mana to the rest of the circuits through the body." He pointed to his head as he spoke, "The mana must be inserted steadily and well controlled, too much will cause the organs to explode" Aldrah nodded.
  134. (Aldrah)
  135.
  136. He scribbled: so... we just hold our hand and let our mana flow through them?'
  137.
  138. He softly placed his hand ontop of the rat gentle seeming rather fond of animals even though they are dead he does not wish to further damage their body.
  139. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  140.
  141. Esme could feel the distinction from the resurrections of magi she'd read about in the past. This required mana used in a ritualistic format; no powerful host would be needed for what was essentially an undead familiar.
  142.
  143. With her hands outstretched, Esme began to gently channel the corpse of the boar with mana, invigorating it in a similar sense to how she calls upon her patron star in battle to fuel her mana circuits.
  144.
  145. Slowly, the boar would twitch slightly, making a few exasperated grunts but not exactly breathing. Though as she continued to empower the resurrected beast, it began to slowly shift up onto it's front; looking around the room with milky and empty eyes, it appeared to be tied to whim of her mana.
  146.
  147. "There we go, Ser Aldrah."
  148. (Esme Rowan)
  149.
  150. Gabriel looked amazed at esma as he tried to do it now himself as he focused his hand against the rat's head and closed his eyes trying to channel his mana into the rat's brain slowly trying to focus and keep relaxed seeming to spark a small twitch in the rat but for a new minutes nothing happens but he refuses to give up as he is determined to raise the rat back to life or.. unlife as he slowly sended his mana through the brain and slowly the spine and then the heart. as the rat slowly moved inch by inch till finally standing up. slowly sniffing around the room as gabriel opens his eyes looking with a soft gasp of suprise he managed to bring it back. looking at his teacher and scribbles: I managed to raise it thanks to your teaching mister Aldrah!
  151. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  152.
  153. Aldrah watched as the two pupils revived the animals. A sideways smile can be seen on Aldrah's face, as he slowly clapped two hands, "Very good. You have succeeded." He spoke by snapping his finger, causing his undead to start closing the boxes and picking them up, "So we finished today's class. Thank you for your participation, I intend to give more necromancy class in the future, where I hope you two to participate again."
  154.
  155. He sat down and continued, "If you have any questions, just talk."
  156. (Aldrah)
  157.
  158. He scribbled: When is the next class sir? also i think you teached pretty well. also is there anything else we can do at the moment in class?
  159. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  160.
  161. Esme washed her hands in the basins provided, slowly sliding her robe on as the undead servants dealt with her raised boar and the tools that needed cleaning and whatnot. Turning to face Aldrah, she'd actually pipe up for the first time in the entire class. After all, she was in pursuit of much more advanced applications to further the chances of healing her father's ailment.
  162.
  163. "Actually. Ser Aldrah, I was wondering if you'd know where to begin on raising magi."
  164. (Esme Rowan)
  165.
  166. Aldrah looked at Esme and replied, "If you are referring to trying to revive humans, I recommend that you first study a body.. Organs and everything else. Then start practicing the revival." Aldrah nodded, then the undeads started heading toward the exit, "Class is over now... The next class, I'll have to decide what day it will be."
  167. (Aldrah)
  168.
  169. He seems to curiously play with the revived rat seeming content with reviving it as he loooks at aldrah with a smile seeming to be fond of learning necromancy further and getting better at it and improve.
  170. (Gabriel Huegloss)
  171.
  172. Esme nodded and got to her feet, politely bowing to Aldrah as she took off toward the exit, book under arm.
  173.
  174. After all, there was much to mull over and plan.
  175. (Esme Rowan)
  176.
  177. Esme raised an arm, a few more of the undead birds flying through the open window tops to deliver her blade to her grip.
  178. (Esme Rowan)
  179.
  180. Aldrah says, "I'll leave now, if you need me, I'll be downtown."
  181.
  182. Esme Rowan says, "Goodbye, and good day to you both."
