General Tips:
Always fast forward during battles
Always purify Baddinyan if inspirited
No nicknames ever
Use IAE always
Skip every cutscene possible (press start, and if it says skip event, say yes) (skip all cutscenes unless guide says otherwise)
Never use soultimates, ever
Give all exporbs and HH to Baddinyan
If you encounter yokai on train, give up

Ch1 - Choose boy and 1 character name
Choose fleshy or bony, doesn’t matter
Catch 1 brown cicada (bottom-right) and 2 beetles (top) in park, reset if you fail one
Go to memory store (can’t skip first Nick Nack, can skip second)
Get whisper and head to fish place
Encounter Jib and befriend him
Head back to store, go to trash and find Brush
Kill him

Ch2 - Go to WW, make sure to mash food tutorial
Run to top stairs, run backwards and forwards until ? symbol appears
Encounter Blowkade (Jib IAE)
Choose Roughraff
Start key quests (switch to rough iae)
Do Cicada quest (can skip talking after handing over cicada)
Do School quest, use PoF
Go to mart, accept quest, find BB and answer is Hungramps
Go home, do Hungramps stuff, choose Use Karate and head home
Go to breezy hills (use lower entrance)
Talk to Eddie and chase the crow
Cross the red light for the first time to skip Walkappa float (Holy Skip)
Talk to Walkappa and find + follow Yoink
Beat yoink in alleyway with Raff IAE
Beat Swelton with Rough IAE

Ch3 - Go to school and follow prompts
Open the left classroom door when entering
Beat Baku with Rough IAE
Give up during food minigame
Go to Blossom using lower Uptown entrance
Go to Wayfarer and then to Museum (mash during Manor)
Go to Museum Vault and do Whimsy (IAE yo-kai)
Turn in quest and go to Community Center
Team: Roughraff, Jibanyan, Baku (for Official)
Use PoF and then Raff iae
Go to Shoten Temple alleyway
Throw Fruit Drops or random food at Ake until befriend (reset if not first try)
You can skip the cutscene after accepting quest
Do story stuff and sleep
Go to Blossom Everymart and sell buff weight, power bracelet, restraint belt
You want to have at least 60 (aim for 77+)
Head through little hole in gate in SR
Buy 5-6 everything ramen in SR and get Badd
Make sure to get Ramen first
Baddinyan is near top left apartment, answer yes to Rough for him
Do terror time quickly
Get Rank D and head to school (make sure to do ball skip)
Go to school and get hidden hits in library (3rd floor)
Swap baddinyan over baku, give him beefy bell, karate, and hh, and switch to Badd IAE permanently
Move badd to top left of party
Party - Baddinyan, Jibanyan, Rough
Hungramps - Swelton - Brush
Beat Gutsy Bones (target the heart)

NOTE: For a safety strat for Ake, there is a Candy Apple (4 star food he likes) in a chest near the Hot Springs

Ch4 - Head to SR and choose Fleshy doughnuts
Talk to mom and dad (mom last)
Use entrance to downtown near bank
Go to train station and do: nonstop, fortune, echo
In Harrisville: Run into school, talk to grandma at stall, run into marketplace, talk to grandma, go to marketplace
Buy a bamboo shoot at market and accept Soul Tea
Run to Grandma’s, enter, exit and talk to Grandma
Give donuts to Nathaniel’s memorial
Start the quests and do Seek, Soulcery and finally Fishing
Save Mirapo and do Pallysol, and get the 2 Staminum Alpha chest in second area (hidden behind tree/bush)
IAE Snobetty
Beat Meganyan with IAE

Ch5 - Go to Nathaniel’s base, search Moximous Mask comic then search the MZ plans
Befriend Miradox and take train to Old Springdale
Use 1 Staminum alpha and run to Past WW and accept Komajiro quest
Run to TaM on other side of Old Springdale and accept quest
Head south to old SR and go to the alleyway shrine for letter
Run back to train and go to present, grab train station mirapo (Important!!!)
Take the train to Fortune Place, then nonstop to Central, and grab the Mirapo at Central (Important!!!)
Grab pepper at curry shop and head to SR Everymart for Mirapo
Warp to Harrisville Station, head to Old Springdale
Go to ironworks and defeat Badsmella
Use the other Staminum Alpha afterwards
Badsmella Guide - Her locations are machine, sign in room to the right, fire hydrant in top left corner in left room, and mannequin
Turn in other quests (WW then TaM) and head back to Nathaniel’s base for MZ

BACKUP STRAT: If you miss the Harrisville Central Mirapo, warp to Grandma’s house and take the bus there

Ch6 - Run to Hovernyan on bridge, head back up and touch FKappa, then head to present
Warp to Grandma’s and do Gnomey quest
Run down to school and do HnS with Toiletta
Run to Soulcery Temple to start Predictabull quest
Run to FKappa and beat him
Go to Mt. Middleton, get Pallysol and give up to death warp to beginning
Warp to SR Everymart and go to Timers and take Rank C
Head to the Old Mansion and destroy the yokai (all pretty easy)
Lafalotta upstairs, Slicenrice in back first floor (get there from second floor), Helmsman right next to entrance on left (Lafalotta - Slicenrice - Helmsman)
Warp to Springdale Central and run to Excellent Tower (through Uptown)
Get Predictabull in Excellent Tower (defeat Draaagin and choose exporb)
Warp to Central and take nonstop then train to San Fantastico
Save at Eyepo in the cave and feed Dancing Trio for befriend (if none, quit and try again)
Get Flushback as well (throw other food items, no soba
Beat Cap’n Crash (follow guide)
Do some switching at Eyepo; roster should be Badd, Wiglin, Jib and FKappa, Swelt, Hungramps
Warp to the past, head back to Nathaniel’s base and kill Kin/Gin (follow guide)

NOTE: Evolve Wiglin as soon as possible

Ch7 - Talk to Whisper for Jib quest (important!!)
Get mom quest (quest only works in day)
Go to Uptown river for Jib quest and complete it
Go home and sleep to day
Warp to Timers, go to station, talk to attendant, get RankB quest
FOLLOW THE TRAIN ORDER, OR ELSE YOU WILL LOSE SO MUCH TIME
Warp to excellent tower station, talk to guy and warp back to Downtown
Take a nonstop to FortunePlace, talk to guy, and take nonstop back (you can also take Echo Line then warp for safety)
IMPORTANT: After you arrive at Fortune Place, save your game and quit. Otherwise, you’ll be forced to sit through two other trains.
Talk to dad twice and summon Flushback
Head to the Downtown Everymart and get Mirapo
Warp to Timers and get item from Bike Store and give to dad
Choose bike
Go to TaM and warp to San Fan
Kill Chummer (alleyway with Rank C lock) and BenTover and Chansin (cave) and warp back to TaM for quest
Warp home, skip cutscenes and go outside
Beat Eyeclone (use guide)

NOTE: You can sell off equips/items you think are useless when warping from Everymart and buy RRBs (safety)

Ch8 - Go to Timers and accept Rank A
Go to Nocturne Hospital by warping from TaM to everymart
Go to Hospital and beat Nird (1st floor) Espy (2nd) and Goruma (go up vine on floor 2), run into Yokai and then give up for warp
Turn in quest, warp to past and go to Flatpot
Choose side depending on version and guard mirror
Fight all yo-kai on opposing team rock
Follow story prompts
Defeat Toadal Dude/Arachnus (Kill Toadal first)

NOTE: Be extremely liberal with healing in Nocturne, the 3 Yo-kai do serious damage

NOTE 2: There are two safety strats in this chapter: grabbing the Mighty Medicine on the rocks in the south of Flatpot, and grabbing the Mega Exporb hidden in the trees on the Fleshy side of Flatpot (wouldn’t recommend)

Ch9 - Bike to Ray O’Light
Go to Old SR and talk to Nyada
Take train and bike to Past Mt. Middleton for Nyadas Trials
Catch Nyada in Hide and Seek
Find the kittens
SAFE STRAT: Grab the Mighty Medicine in Cicada Canyon  (hidden)
Beat Demuncher to death and choose Mega Exporb
Go back to plains and defeat Unfairy

Ch10 - Use ALL of your exporbs on Baddinyan
Go to wicked present and defeat wicked who attack
WHEN YOU GO INSIDE NATE’s HOUSE, TALK TO PARENTS!
Take Miradox back to past (BB at Community Center)
Defeat Untidy, Unkaind, Unpleasant in that order
Kill Unkeen and follow story prompts
Use brick to get around gate into sunset co outside
Outside Sunset Co, heal, Team - Baddinyan, Kelpacabana, Fkappa then Jibanyan, Swelton and and Hungramps
Defeat Ded1 (read guide)
Doll glitch Kin/Gin 2
Heal and fight Ded2 (same strats)
Heal and go to train station
Save in front of Demona if you want
Fight Dame Demona (use guide)
Time ends once her health bar disappears

NOTE: Heal if needed during the Wicked Executive fights, Unkeen, Untidy and Unkaind all hit very hard

EXTRA NOTE: With the recent discovery of the 255 item glitch + the 2 equip glitch, new timesaves might be possible. Testing is currently ongoing.

Boss Strategies:

Gutsy Bones: Just have baddinyan hit the bandage, and target the heart.  30 second fight.  Also, target the bats with the pins.

Cap’n Crash: Just have baddinyan IAE him to death. Don’t hit the wheel.

Kin and Gin: IAE them individually and break time stone. Start with Kin.

Eyeclone:  Use IAE on hands, but focus on main eye when it’s open.  Heal if needed, tornado attack hurts.

Arachnus/Toadal Dude: Just use IAE, simple. Target Toadal Dude first due to his Toadally Saved ability wasting time.

Demuncher: Beat him to death with Badd, and heal if needed.

Wicked Execs: Heal when needed, but just beat them to death.

Dame Dedtime: Do not target the Wicked unless they steal Baddinyan’s level. Heal Baddinyan if he gets low on health. Otherwise, just keep hitting.

Kin and Gin 2: You shouldn’t fight them. (doll glitch.)

Dame Dedtime 2: Same strategy as Dame Dedtime 1, but be more careful and heal whenever necessary

Dame Demona: Do not hit the dragons unless they steal Baddinyan’s strength. Slow the game down to stop Fly Away Soul, purify her inspirits as needed, and make sure to constantly heal your front line. Also, never ever use soults. Be extra careful during Watch/Item Steal.

Special Note:

There is a faster strategy in chapter 6: Fast Trio and Flush. Avoid buying ramen in Chapter 4, and just throw whatever at the Trio and Flushback. This is very stupid and pointless, but it theoretically could save time.
