- The building on display isn't one anyone will recognize, but it's clearly an empty shed. Andromeda huddles in a corner on the concrete floor, crouched on the ground, perfectly still as the door slams open and shut again in almost the same motion. A figure in a cloak of the cult of the Prophet stands pressed against the door, breathing heavily.
- Andromeda shifts, and the shed wall creaks around her, and Samantha whips around, her hood falling back at the violence of the motion, looking around with blind eyes and a frightened face.
- "Who's there?" Samantha says, her voice trembling even as it tries to be forceful. When there's no response, she repeats herself--louder, more frightened.
- "I'm not going to hurt you," Andromeda says at last, though from her tight posture, it seems she's more afraid of the girl hurting her than the reverse situation.
- "It's you!" Samantha is still frightened, but wonder sneaks into her voice. "I won't--I'm running, too."
- "Then we can stay here together for now."
- Samantha is all knees and elbows as she drops to the floor, the exhaustion obvious now that she has found a place to rest.
- Andromeda calls to her. "You can come over here. It's warmer that way."
- There's hesitation, but Samantha crawls over, feeling for Andromeda's position and sitting carefully beside her. It's quiet for a long time, though not uncomfortable. Occasionally the wind howls just so, or someone shouts outside in the distance, and the pair grow tense and wary, but the mood always relaxes.
- "Why is everyone--Why is it doing--whatever it's doing?" Samantha asks, finally.
- "It doesn't understand."
