Dio infects Valentine

Except Valentine had not counted on one thing—Dio did not need to 'see' or 'hear' in order to 'sense' with the Force. Dio's hand shot back and seized Valentine by the throat.

"I grow 'bored' of this little game, President. Let's end it." Dio squeezed.

Despite his throat's constriction, Valentine managed to reply with no less elocution than usual: "You may think you have me 'in a bind', Dio Brando... But even now, I am 'between' your fingers, allowing me to use my 「Stand」, 「Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap」." As soon as he finished explaining his move, Valentine started to vanish into Dio's grip.

"How wearisome. But I have no intention to let you 'escape', Valentine. And soon, neither will you."

Two of Dio's fingers shot deep into Valentine's throat. The neck's skin bulged as the fingers slithered up alongside the carotid artery.

"Inflict whatever 'wound' you want on me," said Valentine, still slowly vanishing (they sure had a lot of time to gab). "I will merely 'tag out' with another of my bodies from a 'different world'..."

"But I am not inflicting a 'wound'. I am inserting my 'vampire extract' into you... Soon, you will have no mind but to 'listen to your master'."

The pulse in Valentine's throat quickened. JoJo wasn't sure what 'vampire extract' meant, but it did appear as though some sort of change was occurring in Funny Valentine—a brief flash of fear and resistance, soon snuffed by a placid, wide-eyed gaze... a vapid, almost foolish smile—it were as though he were becoming an idiot before JoJo's very eyes. F.F. tugged his sleeve again and said they needed to run, quick. But JoJo couldn't look away. He was transfixed—more changes occurred in Valentine's face. His skin became the same pallor as Dio's, then his eyes glowed bright, and finally ghoulish fangs grew from his teeth.

Dio had—Dio had turned the president into a vampire!

"Now then," said Dio, after the transformation completed. "You don't feel much like vanishing into 'another world' anymore, do you?"

The zombified Valentine shook his head. "Never, my Master... I would never want to 'leave' you..."

"Excellent. A president for my first puppet... It seems it was worth it to 'bide my time' all these years, after all. Isn't that right, 'dear brother JoJo'?"
