Open system preferences

Open users and groups preferences

Click the lock icon at the bottom left corner

In the username section type root

In the password section type Y2UG!CgE5H-e2yX2

Click Unlock

Look at the column where you see your username and other accounts

Click your username (Example: Bill Sams (9T) or if BYOD your login name)

Check the tick box at the bottom left of the panel to the right of the column with the usernames that says "Allow user to
    administer this computer"

Click the lock icon at the bottom
