Destroy the maelstrom release thoughts

Thoughts on Destroy the Maelstrom's release.

So it should come as no surprise to most people that have played it, that I probably fucked some stuff up in quite a few ways.
While I didn't expect it to go perfectly, there's definitely way more issues coming out than I would have liked.

All I can do at this point is say thanks to everyone who's given it a shot, even more thanks to people who have remained patient while encountering some problems, or getting stuck on some things.

As of writing this I have just posted out an update to the game to fix a few initial issues which were super major (2 possible softlocks, a much harder than intended path, and a possible unfair loss condition in a boss).

I will be adjusting more things in the game over the next week or however long it takes to improve things.

Again, all I can ask is that anyone who's dropped the game due to problems, I hope that you give it another shot after this patch. If you've seen any issues, please let me know. It's possible that I've already taken note of it but it can't hurt to mention it just in case.

All I can hope is that people have a better time after the patch, and that people can enjoy the game outside of its issues for the time being.

As a final note, I would ask that anyone who rates the game on delfruit, please note if you did not actually finish the game in your review - as I believe that the difficulty value at least will end up shifting quite a bit, which may be unfair to some people looking to play the game and then having trouble later on.

Not exactly what I wanted out of my first big release, but it could have been worse, and I'm at least in the position that I can go back and fix things.
