(The episode starts in Coal's class)

Coal: Hey guys, do you ever wonder how the jocks get many girls?
Wille: Actually, I wonder how girls like the jocks.
Dan: Yeah, it makes sense when you put it like that.
Coal: Whatever, it's just that, we're complete outcasts, we need to fix that.

(The bell rings)

Coal: OK, guys. So here's what I'm th-

(His friends walk up to him)

Wille: Well, guess what? We're joining the football team!
Coal: Wait WHAT? How the hell did you do that?!
Dan: We just talked to those jocks over there. (points to them)

Coal: Uh-huh, because that's EXACTLY what you're supposed to do.

Charlie: Why don't you try it? It might just work.

(Coal walks over to the jocks)

Coal: Hey, so what's up?

Jock #1: Now, I know what you're thinking, you can join the football team! We finished our first practice so we just have to do another before the big game.
Coal: Wow... that was unexpected. Thanks!

(Coal walks over to his friends)

Coal: Well boys, our prayers have finally been answered.

Dan: Yes, we get to see the cheerleaders!

Coal: Please don't let that distract you from the game.

Later at the sport fields....

Coal: Alright, jocks, we're here, let's do us proud!

Jock #2: You're not in our team.

Coal: Excuse me?

Jock #2: I didn't say you were in OUR team, you guys are your own team.

Coal: But that makes it unfair!!

Jock #2: Am I speaking to a toddler here? You might as well grow up.

(Coal gets angry)

Mr. Fit: OK, chop chop. Both teams will compete with each other as a quick football game.

(He blows the whistle)

Coal: That's it, I'm stepping up as the leader this time, which means you'll do what I say, OK?
Charlie: Yeah, and you have to kick the ball to make it move.

(Coal runs to his goalpost)

(The Jocks start passing the ball to each other)

Coal: Charlie, defend!

(Charlie impersonates a shield, protecting Coal)

Coal: NO! The ball!

(The ball flies past them)

Coal: Where's Dan?!

(Dan is staring at the cheerleaders dancing)

Coal: I should've known. Wille, you're our only hope, stop the ball from coming to the box!

(Wille runs and picks up the ball)

(Mr. Fit blows the whistle)

Mr. Fit: HAND-BALL!

Coal: YOU IDIOT!!
Wille: You told-
Coal: Shut up. Just shut up. Everyone huddle now.

(They do that)

Coal: We're at stake here, we can't afford to get distracted.
Charlie: I'm pretty sure I wasn't.
Coal: Whatever, just..

Jocks: GOAL!!!

Coal: What?! How?!

Jock #3: It was a penalty, we scored a goal!

Coal: But we weren't ready!
Wille: Who's getting distracted again?

(Coal closes his eyes)

Coal: What... are we joining... the team for again?

......................

(Coal opens his eyes in anger)

Later at home...

Coal: We're doomed!

Sapphire: What's wrong, Coal?

Coal: I joined a football team with my friends so that we could be popular and we're screwing up!

Gold: It seems like you need to train your friends.

Coal: But it's the night before the big game, there's no time.

Gold: Maybe there is time. Get your friends here and watch football matches on the TV. Then hopefully they'll understand the concept.

Coal: Hopefully is such a hurtful yet truthful word.

(Coal goes on the phone and calls his friends)

Coal: Hey, come over to my house, I gotta tell you something.

(Later, they arrive)

Wille: What's up?

Coal: We're gonna watch countless hours of football on the TV.

Wille: Do people really do that these days?

Coal: Mate, where have you been?

(Coal scrolls through the channels)

Dan: Wait, I saw something!
Coal: What?
Dan: A few channels back.

(Coal scrolls back)

Dan: Stop!

On TV:
(Two people are sitting on the sofa)

Rebecca: So what do you do everyday?
Pete: Well, I usually like to code...

(Rebecca leans forward slowly to Pete as he speaks)

Coal: Arghhh!! We're not here to watch some weird romance film!! We're here to WATCH FOOTBALL!
Dan: But it's not as pleasing.

(Coal changes the channel to football)

Coal: Now, I want you guys to take any mental notes on what's going on.
Wille: Do we have to study after this?
Coal: Enough with the sarcasm.

Commentary Guy: And we have the all time player deciding whether to throw the ball or to run with it, it's tough.

Coal: Wait this isn't football!
Charlie: It is though, Wille was about to run with the ball in the game
Coal: But that was AGAINST THE RULES!
Dan: Where are the cheerleaders?
Coal: Why the hell does there need to be cheerleaders?
Dan: Because you said we had to impress the girls.
Coal: No, but there's-

Commentary Guy: And he's done THE TOUCHDOWN!!

Wille: But the jocks didn't do a touchdown in the game, THEY CHEATED!
Coal: They didn't cheat, you idiot! This is not even football!
Wille: But if it includes a ball, it's football.
Coal: WHAT? That's like saying basketball is football because it includes a BALL!
Dan: Why are you guys saying balls, I'm getting weird tensions.
Coal: Oh, and that romance film didn't?!

Commentary Guy: it seems like the other team has performed the safety, that's 2 points!

Charlie: That isn't fair, in the game, I performed safety and didn't get any points!
Coal: That's because there's NO safety, there's NO points and THIS ISN'T FLIPPING FOOTBALL!!
Dan: If it isn't, can we watch the romance film now?

(Coal gets furious and destroys the TV, he pushes his friends outside)

Coal: Well done. Just well done. You managed to not only lose our chances of winning, but gave me the belief that we are worst outcasts in school than we realized. You crushed my hope. My big orb of hope. You guys are my friends, you were supposed to help me, not make us fools. I expect more from you guys, but that's no longer happening, we lost. Thanks for nothing, guys. Just... go home.

Dan: You're welc-

(Coal shuts the door, and walks sadly to his bed)

(Sapphire, Emerald and Gold are sad and look at each other)

Charlie: What have we done guys... we made Coal really depressed. He tried really hard to help us win, but we messed around. If we just put together more effort, then we might just be able to win for our friend. We put our differences aside and our teamwork together.

Dan + Wille: Yeah!!

Wille: But, we don't have any experience of football.

Emerald (off-screen): Well, you might just need some pointers. From us! (It reveals Sapphire, Emerald and Gold smiling)

(They enter in the house)

Gold: Now, it begins like this...

The next day, Coal walks to school.

Coal: Well, I guess I'm on my own now. I just wish we had more time.

Jock #2: You ready? To lose?

Coal: Might as well.

???: NOT!

(It's revealed to be Charlie, Wille and Dan)

Charlie: We're ready to play, Coal!
Coal: Guys, no! You can't!

Mr. Fit: Enough talk, more play. First to 4 wins.

(He blows the whistle)

Coal: This'll probably be the last time I can talk to anyone in my life, so... let's get this over with.

(One of the Jocks run over to Wille, but he manages to pass the ball over to Dan, Dan dribbles the ball, dodging the other jocks and scores a goal)

Coal: Whaa?

(blows whistle)

Mr. Fit: 0-1 to them.

(Charlie is surrounded by jocks)

Wille: Wide OPEN!

(Charlie kicks the ball up and headers it, it flies up, Wille headers it forward to Charlie and kicks it to the goal)

(Coal smiles)

Later... after a few rounds

Mr. Fit: 3 to all!

Daddyore (in audience): I never knew football was so fast-paced.

(The jocks decides to corner them, Wille gets the ball and runs with it, but the jocks push him away)

Wille: OI! Foul!

Mr. Fit: No, continue.

(The Jocks have the ball now, Dan and Charlie sprint to kick the ball, but are stopped by other teammates, the jocks almost shoot the ball over to the goal, but Coal is worried, he closes his eyes, adrenaline rushes in, which causes him to leap very high and kick the ball, which makes the ball go flying)

Coal: Oh crap, off-side!

(Wille pushes one of the jocks and starts sprinting, he leaps forward and keeps the ball in)

Coal: Yes!!

(Coal and the jocks start running to get the ball which is left in the open, Coal's heart beats pretty fast and he gains more acceleration and kicks the ball really hard before the jocks get it, the ball goes really fast and manages to go in goal)

Wille: :0
Dan: :0
Charlie: W-was that the wrong goal?

...

(whistle blows)

















Mr. Fit: Nope.


(He hands the trophy to Coal and his team, the cheerleaders run towards them and his friends and them pick him up, cheering. The audience starts cheering as well)

Sapphire: Yay! Go Coal!

Emerald + Gold: Yeaaah!!

Daddyore + Mellia: Whoo-Hooo!!!

(Confetti blasts everywhere, Coal is filled with bliss, stands on top of their hands and leaps into the air, freeze frame and fade to black, the episode ends)
