- Precisely three seconds after I entered this world, I found myself surrounded on all sides by the worst that this realm could throw at me. Vampires. Werewolves. Homunculi. Monsters of every shape and size.
- Unable to help myself, I asked, "Hey, kids, wanna see a magic trick?"
- They charged. Such enthusiasm!
- For a brief moment, I became a star. When I returned to quasi-mortal form, my audience had mysteriously disappeared.
- "What a shame," I said to myself, before setting my path toward not-Dracula's castle. "I guess I'll just have to find a more receptive audience."
- Regrettably, the non-Dracula who I couldn't be bothered to remember the name of - and in fact deliberately and repeatly got wrong - was not a fan of the magic trick either! I tried to show his friends, but none of them had any great appreciation for it.
- Obviously, I had to set my sights higher! The dread lords, what was I thinking? No! I had to entertain the demiplane of dread's dark gods themselves! I racked my brain for a sufficiently powerful magic trick, before one came to me!
- And thus, as was my right by being a god (and more importantly by being a dragon), I ascended and addressed the assorted gods. Who were not quite expecting a dragon god to show up in their midst.
- "Ladies! Gentlemen! Behold, tonight's closing act! I'm going to make you... disappear."
- Ravenloft was a much saner place at the end of that decade.
