- Magical guide to happiness:
- 1) Install the 3.13 kernel and try again.
- 2) No workie? Try going into your BIOS and check:
- a) Are you using RAID? If so, make sure it's a mix of both AHCI + RAID. If not, try updating BIOS to see if that does anything, and try again. If it still doesn't work, disable it. You're better off anyway - it's sketchy at best, and RAID on a desktop isn't even real! [1]
- b) Make sure it's on AHCI (/IDE?). If not, change it! First, make the changes in Windows [2], then make the changes in the BIOS. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINDOWS CAREFULLY!!!!!!111 You will have a non-booting Windows if you screw up.
- c) No workey still? Darn. Make sure BIOS is updated, and try again. If you're on AMD, make sure the SATA controller is updated.
- 3) Still broken? :( Try switching around the wires to a different port. First try just a "different port" with the same color/speed, and then switch to a different colored/speed port.

- b) Alternatively, return the motherboard and exchange it with another brand.
- c) If above doesn't help, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d2oGk3AvGg [screw citations v2.0.0.1]
- d) Alternatively, backup your data and ask Samsung for a replacement, and/or get another SSD.
