  1. Octocat's Odd Adventures Part 1
  2. Octocat awoke one fine Sunday morning to find that it was a beautiful, sunny day. He slipped out of his small twin sized bed to check his calendar, β€œSunday, June 12th,” it read. He walked over to his single bedroom window and pulled the string to retract the shades. He peered out at the beautiful, Sunday morning. There were 4 fluffy white clouds in the sky.
  3. Octocat made a large yawn, put on a pair of black trousers and crept silently down the stairs so he wouldn't wake his parents. He fancied some tea so he heated a pot of water and made a cup of his favorite Earl Grey tea. He loved the tea so much that he wanted to share it with his parents. He grabbed a wooden breakfast tray and put two more cups of tea on it. He stealthily climbed back up the stairs with the tray and opened the door to his parents' room then quietly entered the room, but gasped with shock. His parents were not in their bed!
  4.
  5. "Where could they be?" he wondered. His parents never got up as early as he did. Octocat set the tray down on his parents dresser and went back into his room.
  6.
  7. "I will search for them!" he decided as he began packing a small green duffel bag. It was packed with all the necessities: tea bags, extra trousers, a water bottle, and a granola bar.
  8. Octocat swiftly moved back downstairs, put on his shoes and ventured out the back door. He looked around his small back yard.
  9. "Maybe they're hiding!" he thought with hope. Octocat found a large stone covering a hole. He strenuously began to move the stone aside. Octocat peered into the revealed hole, but was disappointed when he found there to be no parents inside. Suddenly, something exceedingly strange happened. A small black tree began to rapidly sprout from the the hole. At first, Octocat was amazed. But then he grew frightened as the tree kept on growing nonstop, it's branches began touching the ground. Octocat screamed and ran. He ran for about five minutes then turned around to see if the murderous tree was still behind him. He let out sigh of relief when he found out it was not. Octocat still felt a little sad though because he didn't find his parents yet. He looked around and found himself standing on top of a hill.
  10. "I will find my parents!" Octocat shouted as loud as he could. Octocat was indeed not one to lose hope.
