  1. I reject the chosen blindness of masses;
  2. They view the shining night sky in longing,
  3. Yet do not handle the fallen leaf with amazement.
  4.
  5. The selective deafness I also dismiss;
  6. I shall hear both the gaggle of loquacious birds,
  7. And as well the every mundane drop of rain on the ground.
  8.
  9. And every smooth shard of flint,
  10. And every broken piece of bark,
  11. And every fruit past its ripeness,
  12. I will caress in likeness to a mother caressing her child.
  13.
  14. β€˜Tis easy to behold a redwood tree, so tall that it could shake hands with God,
  15. But the roots of the giant, twisted and turned in a permanent state of waltz,
  16. Intertwined with the bedrock of the Earth, reaching down into an entrancing infinity,
  17. Their magnificence is often cast aside in minds,
  18. Destined to be slightened by the less perceptive.
  19.
  20. All objects of this universe, in their own constructions, are keys to the Gates,
  21. The lock must only possibly be defeated by a state of mind.
  22. In my own nucleus I discover the aspirations of existence,
  23. And thus I discover the aspirations of existence in everything.
  24.
  25. Let the preconceived notions we taint our eyeballs with dissipate!
  26. The songbird can sing but as does the vulture,
  27. Possessing a beauty in the peculiarity of its ,
  28. Too esoteric for those who cannot open their minds.
  29.
  30. There is celestial bloom in more than the stars,
  31. There is ethereal refinement in more than the moon,
  32. There is haunting mystery in more than the comets,
  33. I do not look far for exquisite beauty;
  34. I needn’t look further than my arms can extend!
  35.
  36. I have realized this beauty manifests itself in my own being,
  37. Inherently embodied in my humanity and individuality,
  38. And I have realized the need to utilize this beauty.
  39.
  40. The proclamations of my mind triumph over the voice of others,
  41. For I recognize my value in the equilibrium of living things,
  42. And do not punish myself by muting the music of my mind,
  43. Or forgetting my genius and relegating it for the material.
  44.
  45. My soul is eternally inseparable from me,
  46. So it must be embraced and known well,
  47. For there is an excellence within it as there is an excellence within all.
  48.
  49. The self must be admired in the same fashion as the ocean,
  50. Which must be admired in the same fashion as the puddle as well,
  51. Else a life will never be idyllic.
