注1:原文の"a kitchen time saves nine"は"a stitch in time saves nine"（時を得た一針は九針を省く≒転ばぬ先の杖）のもじり。訳文は「芸は身を助ける」のもじりのつもり。
注2:"crude stew"は直訳すると多分「荒っぽいごった煮」とかそんな感じの意味合いになる。イモリの目とシナモンをぶち込んだケーキ生地は実際crudeなstewなので多分そういうことなのではないかと思う。"stew"には「積極的な心配から生じる不安」という意味があるらしいのでひょっとするとダブルミーニングなのかもしれない。
注3:"save the date"は「ナツメヤシを控えめにする」と「日時を開けておく」のダブルミーニング？とりあえず「松の実」と「待つのみ」でかけてみる。
注4:押韻重視なので訳としては超不正確。
