Roshi_jungle convo

Spoke to Jungle as a follow up from his talk with Sparty and the whole firemancer/privacy issue.

-- Admitted he was probably the most riled up about the tweet and was pretty livid. Considered his position in raid team and whether he should quit (thursday).
-- While he admitted some issue about the language usage bit, the bigger issue was the privacy breach. This issue also brought up previous instances he thought could have been handled better (Yungduck's img post about Ari that was posted into his app thread that he felt didn't really help anyone except make Ari feel bad). There were a few other non-privacyish issues that he also brought up like some of Sparty's call outs, 3 raid leads being healers etc. though these were more minor issues compared to the big privacy thing.
-- Couldn't categorize his private chat with sparty as good/bad but he thought it went well.
-- Has calmed down since and is just waiting to see how we handle the issue/go forward from here as he considers his future. However he said that even if he ultimately decided to leave, he'd be mindful and respectful on how he does it. From the talk, it sounded like he was more inclined to staying, but would definitely like to see some changes and how we can rebuild that trust. I shared and elaborated a little based on what Sparty had posted in the Fire resignation post thread about getting feedback and a post about Sparty himself as well as how the 3 parter thing would work out. So he will be waiting to see how we go from there.

Suggestions/feedback
Privacy/tweet issue
-- He said that a lack of communication definitely didn't help the situation. He thought we could have better communicated the plan regarding the tweet prior to the guild meeting (whether to delete and address or keep it up and address etc).
-- While he didn't outright say it, my convo with him carried that implication that he'd like to see some better communication and consideration on posting some images to app thread (yungduck/ari thing). This could be more private documentation on our part, or better outreach on whether its ok to post etc.
-- GM vs any other person. He said because it was Sparty the GM, it felt like there is no one above to address/correct the issue. Like if it were a member/officer/app etc, Sparty as GM would be the authority to decide etc., so he wasn't sure about how this would play out. He also said he wouldn't ask or even want Sparty to resign as GM because he understands its his guild and would not want to take that away from him.

Firemancer Leaving Post
-- He felt we could have communicated this better with the guild and firemancer

-- He thought we could have been clearer and more transparent with Fire about his post.
** I asked if he thought we should have messaged Fire per-emptively to explain his post was being moved so that he was aware of what was going on, and he said we probably should have.

-- He mentioned feeling confused about post going up then disappearing with no word from us. He thought we should have probably either removed the content but left post up saying what was happening, or following our moving it to App forums and leaving a message for members straight away instead of putting it in officer for first couple of hours.
** I clarified more since we had done the same with Sholdice/Mindstrike and he said that those were pretty minor issues. Since this was a pretty major issue, he felt that a slightly different handling would have been more appropriate.
** I did not prompt him too much about Fire's actions after the post was moved. Though I did ask if he was aware of the tweet fire made about his post being deleted (which he was).

-- He kind of understands why Fire felt so upset since after reading the message since it was Fire's personal heartfelt message to the guild.

Guild image/ DJ meme guild issue
-- He said that he feels sad/angry when he sees other people shitting on DJs for being a meme guild etc, because its basically people shitting on his home. This incident definitely didn't help the issue.

In-raid stuff (More just minor stuff he had forgotten/didn't think was worth pushing at the time)
-- People afraid to talk to Sparty
* This was more him sharing how some people tell him they are afraid of Sparty. And we talked about how we always tell people in-raid progression Sparty is completely different from out of raid sparty.

-- Sparty callouts sometimes going too far
* He understands the bad/good cop thing but sometimes feels Sparty overdoes it or goes too far. One example he used was when Sparty yelled at Worben when Jungle had typed in Range chat for Worben/Bumi to be better positioned. He felt bad and apologized to Worben because he was just letting him know and didn't intend for him to get yelled at.

-- 3 RLs as healers. Says some people have approached him that we may be overly focused on callouts etc. and healing goes lacking and people die but it isn't talked/called out.
*He cited an example about the Coven frost debuff healing and how Chi/Adamax was killing it and Sparty was lacking (Not sure if lack of attempts influenced this). I told him it's definitely a concern of ours that we try and mitigate with having DPS like zar and himself to help us in Jesters. We critique and call ourselves out in officer chat all the time about healing. Bran tries to focus more on raid callouts and keeps making sure Sparty/myself focus on healing and our healing assignments.

-- Raid roster isn't that strong
*Just more a feedback that we've definitely had stronger rosters in the past and that this tier hasn't gone that well, from weaker performances and weaker roster.

Going forward
-- Definitely will see how we address the issues and such before deciding on what he plans on doing
-- I asked him if he'd like more sitdown time with us, whether as a single or as a group of people with issues and he wasn't too sure. Depends on what the issue is etc. I definitely think he'd be a good facilitator for group discussions if needed.

From the vibe and feel of the convo whilst talking to him, he definitely seems to have calmed down compared to his heated self on Thursday. We had been talking beforehand in jesters on Sun night about him having all the Ranged classes at max level, so he can swap to any of the range classes for BFA. Even though he says he's not fully decided on if he should quit/leave, it sounded like he's more for staying and that alot of his concerns now and going forward is that trust and how we put in place corrective measures and such to make sure it never happens again.

I definitely think we should do a followup sitdown with jungle after we get our Firemancer 3 part posts up. And even a collective vet/officer sitdown would be good.
