  1. Pastebin update 27/11/2018
  2.
  3. Hey everyone!
  4. It's been a while since I've done one of these, but I feel like I've recently hit a bit of a turning point in what I'm doing and I thought I would share some plans for the next couple of months.
  5.
  6. First up, FF Series Relay IV: Interlude happened last weekend, and as always, it was a great event. I want to give especially large shoutouts to the people who overcame obstacles for their run at very short notice - without you we probably would have had to call the whole thing off, so I'm incredibly happy you managed to make it work :D

  8. Due to this, my speedrunning itch has come back a bit, and so in the next few days or so, I'll be running through the FF13 All Missions route off-stream. If I can make it through without getting bored/frustrated, then I'm going to practice back up at the category, with looking to do a run in a couple of weeks time when I have some more days off work. Hopefully I get a time I'm happy with, and if I don't, then I might do some further attempts at the end of the year or so when I take a further week off. Alternatively I'll crash and burn and just immediately move onto my next project instead of seeing that run through to the end!

  10. As for my next project after that, I'm finally going to put the time into properly learning/practicing Rabi-Ribi ATM BEx, which is a run I've been looking at for a long time now, and even though it seems difficult, I think it will be a lot of fun and really satisfying to pull off if I can get there. If I can manage to get relatively consistent at it, I'm also planning to submit the category to ESA 2019, so here's hoping!
  11.
  12. As for what I've been up to in the last couple of months or so, I've mostly been working on my I Wanna Be The Guy fangame. I started this project a long time ago and have been working on it fairly slowly since then, although I really picked things up after ESA this year and managed to make some considerable progress. I'm currently working on the next batch of 3 stages for the game, with one of them completed, and the other 2 slowly coming into focus. I'm still not done with working on it by far, but it might slow down a little over the next month or so depending on how deep I get back into the speedrunning time black hole :D - However I'm still aiming to put something out around the end of the year, even if it doesn't contain everything I wanted to have done by my next release, just to keep the progress flowing. My current aim is to have all of the content finished (if not the polishing) by ESA 2019, so that I can present a mostly completed game to some people in person and get some more directed/live feedback on a few things I'll be keeping under wraps until then.

  14. Looking a bit more forwards, the next FF Relay is being considered to take place around easter next year - it's a bit of a tight turnaround but I think we can make it work as long as we actually try to get the ball rolling on games we want earlier, to give people time to prepare. Due to this, I'm hoping to get at least an initial list of games/categories done by the end of the year or so potentially, to try and see if we can generate enough interest on the games that are currently struggling for runners.
  15.
  16. And in IRL news, I'm moving house soon! I'm not entirely sure when it will be, but most likely by the end of Feburary I'll be living in my own place, and considerably closer to work than I am now. This should mean that I have significantly more free time during the week, which in turn allows me to have more time to pursue all of these things I want to spend time on.
  17.
  18. What else? I haven't really been playing much casual stuff recently, but I did a bit of a casual fangame stream which seemed to go down well the other day, and there's a couple of games in my backlog including a couple of things coming out in the near future, so I might spend some more of my time doing that kind of stuff - streaming is still fun to me when I have the energy for it, that's just not something that happens often during the week at the moment, and I tend to want to do most of the stuff I'm on at the moment offline.
