1.
Metal sheds are a top choice for many home builders for its practicality and durability. Arrow steel sheds are an even better choice because it is the product of one of the most trusted manufacturers of outdoor garden sheds. Prefabricated kits that are easy to set up can be purchased online. They usually come with detailed instructions. But in case you are still deciding on what type of shed you are going to buy and would like to know what is involved in installing Arrow metal sheds, take a look at the following steps:

Installation

1. The first thing you need to do is to fit the rails in the corners of the floor frame. Arrow sells foundation kits for better support. The floor rails come with slots to which you can set the wall posts. The door jambs come next. Fit the door rail into the slots of the top rails and over the ends of the wall posts. The top corner pieces must then be slipped over the top rail ends.

2. Check if the floor frames are set properly. Measure diagonally between opposing corners to make sure that the frame is square. The measurements must be equal. Secure the ridge bean and secure it to the rear and front top rails with screws that come with the Arrow steel shed kit. Use the screws to install the rafters then bend the tabs on the roof cross braces. The tabbed ends should be set into the slots of the rafters. You can then start installing the mid-wall channels in the same way and attach the wall diagonal braces.

3. Next, you need to assemble the halves of the gable ends. They must be secured to the front and rear top rails using screws. Wall panels must then be slipped into the top rail channel. Snap them to the panel edges via slots on the wall posts. Corner panels are snapped into the corner wall posts. Interlock all the wall panels together using snap-on connectors that are included in the kit.

4. The roof panels of Arrow steel sheds are installed in the same way as the wall panels. From the inside of the shed, the wall posts must be fastened to the top rails and floor rails with screws. The ramp needs to be installed at the bottom of the door opening. Assemble the door handle and install the door by connecting them to the hinges.

5. Arrow steel sheds must be anchored to protect them from wind damage. Depending on your preferred foundation, you may purchase a separate Arrow anchor kit.

Maintenance

Arrow steel sheds will last longer if they are well cared for. Regularly examine holes on the roof and fill any voids with waterproof caulking fill. Look for small holes on the sides and the base of the metal shed and seal tiny holes in the same fashion. If rainwater tends to collect at the base, you may add dirt around the structure, sloping away on all sides.

When paint starts to peel, use a primer before repainting to prevent rusting. Use sandpaper to remove rust when they start to show. Cover large holes with a piece of sheet metal slightly larger in diameter than the hole. Glue the cut piece of metal sheet over the hole and seal the edges with waterproof caulking fill. Prime and paint the area from the inside and the outside.
