  1. Damek nods, and then a moment later, everything erupts into chaos.\!
  2. Our forces jump to the enemy ship, after a long running start.\!
  3. They land safely, and start decimating The Honor Guard.
  4.
  5. Damek:
  6. See you on the other side, Monarch. \n[1]
  7.
  8. With a smirk, he follows our soldiers, jumping aross to the enemy ship.\!
  9. Landing with a roll, he immediately starts fighting, displaying impressive skill.\!
  10. I didn't get to see him fight in our HQ -or- in Alarinthia. It's quite the sight.
  11.
  12. He dodges the enemy attacks with ease, and retaliates with expertise.\!
  13. Taking out multiple suits of armor with a single swing, he clearly holds his own.\!
  14. I turn around, and order the remaining soldiers to charge. I save myself for last.
  15.
  16. [Alex Route]
  17.
  18. But before I jump, I notice that Alex is still at the wheel.\!
  19. I shout his name, and tell him to get across as soon as possible.\!
  20. The ship has already started to sink -- and water rises at my feet.
  21.
  22. Alex:
  23. You know -- any good Captain is supposed to go down with their ship.
  24. But I guess there's no point living my life by an outdated code of honor.
  25. Thanks to the treaty, there'll be a new life waiting for me after all of this.
  26.
  27. He leaves the wheel behind, and places a hand on my shoulder.
  28.
  29. Alex:
  30. And honestly, it's all thanks to you.
  31. Let's make this jump together, Monarch. \n[1]
  32. We're a team until the end. No matter what.
  33.
  34. No matter what.
  35.
  36. We move to the opposite side of the ship, putting distance between us and the enemy vessel.\!
  37. I notice that most of The Honor Guard has fallen, and our soldiers are manning the weaponry.\!
  38. That's a good sign. With a feeling that victory is ours, Alex and I start to sprint toward the enemy.
  39.
  40. He makes it there first, jumping up on the railing of our ship and lauching himself across the gap.\!
  41. I'm not too far behind, and I jump up on the railing not even one second later. But I make it no further.\!
  42. An arrow pierces through my shoulder, and I fall back onto our ship, in a puddle of near-freezing water.
  43.
  44. [Nada]
  45.
  46. But before I jump, I notice that Nada is still at the wheel.\!
  47. I shout her name, and tell her to get across as soon as possible.\!
  48. The ship has already started to sink -- and water rises at my feet.
  49.
  50. Nada:
  51. You know, the code of honor states that a Captain should go down with her ship.
  52. If it weren't for that treaty, I'd be ready to let myself die right here and now.
  53. I think my new nation will change things up a bit. No more stupid sacrifices.
  54.
  55. She leaves the wheel behind, and places a hand on my shoulder.
  56.
  57. Nada:
  58. I have to thank you for what you've done, Monarch. \n[1]
  59. Now let's make this jump -- there's still so much left to do.
  60.
  61. A sly smirk appears on her face.
  62.
  63. Nada:
  64. Hey -- first one there gets more suits to kill.
  65. Don't want to keep them waiting, right?
  66.
  67. We move to the opposite side of the ship, putting distance between us and the enemy vessel.\!
  68. I notice that most of The Honor Guard has fallen, and our soldiers are manning the weaponry.\!
  69. That's a good sign. With a feeling that victory is ours, Nada and I start to sprint toward the enemy.
  70.
  71. She makes it there first, jumping up on the railing of our ship and launching herself across the gap.\!
  72. I'm not too far behind, and I jump up on the railing not even one second later. But I make it no further.\!
  73. An arrow pierces through my shoulder, and I fall back onto our ship, in a puddle of near-freezing water.
  74.
  75. [Merger]
  76.
  77. I pull out the arrow with a grunt. Blood oozes from the wound, but it's nothing major.\!
  78. We could patch it up as soon as the enemy ships were taken care of. I rise to my feet, trembling.\!
  79. Looking up, I immediately notice the source of the arrow. It didn't come from a member of The Honor Guard.
  80.
  81. It was Shane.
  82.
  83. With an evil smirk, he jumps across, boarding our ship. It's still sinking, but I have time.\!
  84. If I can take care of him fast enough, then I'd be able to carry out my plan as originally intended.\!
  85. Instead of coming for me, he immediately runs toward the wheel, steering our ship away from the chaos.
  86.
  87. That wasn't good. My time was limited if we were both sinking and making the distance greater.\!
  88. He must know exactly what he's doing. Part of me wonders if we played into some sort of trap.\!
  89. I look at my allies, and they seem to be doing a good enough job as they carry out our plan.
  90.
  91. My fist shakes as I grip The Blade of Exodus. Shane scoffs as he watches.\!
  92. I shout at him in anger and despair. I call him a traitor, and condemn him.\!
  93. He almost killed Damek. He caused irreparable damage to my family...!
