  1. >Pale King and White Lady made most of the Vessels not be empty of everything, but still discarded any imperfect ones.
  2. >The general idea was that the full vessels could serve as Pale champions should they survive.
  3. >Most Vessels have little to no memory of the king, and those who do have only a vague idea of what happened.
  4. >Due to the collapse, many Vessels are free to wander, die, and do as they please, but the Little Ghost and Hornet still do their thing.
  5.
  6. >As most people know, Hallownest has now been split between two mini-kingdoms, one led by the Caramel King, who's more of a jester that somehow wound up in control than a king, but so be it.
  7. >While he legitimately cares for his kingdom, he very much is a bread-and-circuses type, not out of malice or want to distract, it's just that Hallownest is fucking depressing.
  8. >His army is a disjointed bunch of loyal vessels and bugs with old equipment who either work via sabotage or lightning strike attacks, any direct battles they go into have heavy losses if they even win.
  9.
  10. >The other kingdom is the Reforged Kingdom of Hallownest, led by the Gray Prince. He sees himself as the most worthy successor to the throne of the Pale King, and as such, has decided to stake his claim through direct occupation. He's a legitimate nobleman compared to Caramel's fun-loving attitude.
  11. >The Gray Prince cares for his Hallownest, and not the rest, meaning that while his area is (mostly) safe, even a short walk away is as dangerous as ever. He keeps his subjects entertained with duels and concubines, and rewards generously if you're a good sport.
  12. >His army is far more well-structured, but also very shaky. He mostly buys bug and vessel mercenaries, and has them under control of an area's lord. Hard to defeat, but hard to control, and his expansion has been hampered by this.
  13.
  14. >The majority of Hallownest has fallen to their control but it's very light in some places, and bandits and infected are a legitimate threat at all times.
  15. >Many Vessels are no different than the bugs around Hallownest, be they adventurer, privateer, bandit, or what have you. Many simply slut it up happily, making the White Lady proud, but others still seek to make their fortune out in the world.
  16. >The worst of this lands story is over, and tommorow will bring a new chapter in Hallownests history.
  17. >What will your Vessel's mark in the history books be?
