Mine initially wanted his name featured as little as possible on the project. His credit for the anime was originally supposed to be "general director" or "production leader", but at his request it was changed to "concept designer". However, as soon as the anime blew up, he got worried if people will understand what it means.

Mine says the success of KF anime was less important to him than it being "authentic Kemono Friends". Also says he wouldn't have hesitated to put a stop to production if the anime hadn't matched his vision.
