Subj: Rebuttal Regarding Ixchilgal

Citizens, below I will be responding to Esoneyuna's previous post.

 - A council member spoke with Esoneyuna during the course of investigations
recently. As I delegated that responsibility, I do not have full details of what
was or was not said. I can only report on the information provided to me. This
detailed list she provided was not what I received, but I will consult with the
other Council member on it.

 - I've known Ixchilgal for many years, and they show remorse when it is
appropriate. Until now, they have not had the full opportunity to speak with the
Council about the matter. A message was sent to them, yes, but they were asleep
during and after that message was sent. I cannot speak for them, but I know if I
woke to being ousted, I'd find a new home and it would take me many years to
feel comfortable enough to speak to the leadership of my old home in regards to
whatever has me removed.

 - I do not know if Kari was still connected to Gaudiguch at the time of it
being used against the city in an aetherflare. I was under the impression that
it was not from information gathered. In any event, just excluding enemies of
Gaudiguch does not prevent all of Hallifax, Serenwilde, and Magnagora from
piloting the ship. I do not know who piloted the ship, so I cannot verify if
they were a city enemy or not.

 - I did consult with other a Council member that was mentioned, and they did
not recall if the ship was able to be whistled or not. Therefore, I could not
confirm. I also did not have a list of names to consult at that time.

 - Yes, there are four Council members. At the time Ixchilgal approached me,
only myself, Lunette, and Xis were awake. When I next saw Dys, I spoke to her of
the conversation had and that an investigation was underway. She was not
excluded for convenience. She simply was not awake when I was approached.


I understand that some citizens view him as a traitor, and I am not attempting
to tell you not to. I am presenting the case to you as it has been presented to
me. I have not intentionally twisted any words, withheld any information
received, or provided false information. If you do not believe me, that's fine.

At this point, I have been contested by Esoneyuna for Magistrate. I will say
that I have worked very hard to try to do my best for the city. Should you feel
I need replaced, very well. If you have continued faith in me, I will do as I
have always done and try to conduct things in an impartial and fair manner.
