  1. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this; he was just supposed to take the journal and leave. There was no reason for him to stay any longer, not after al the years of not talking with one another, of not even attempting to reach out to each other in times they really needed a friend. Stan was supposed to leave, Ford predicted this, no hoped, so that the last piece to the dangerous puzzle he had crafted could be buried where no one could find it.
  2. Ford was wrong.

He had all this knowledge and still it failed him because Stan didn’t leave when he tried to send his brother away on a boat, it only made his Brother angry to hear the only reason he was summoned was to be sent away with what seemed like a ratty old book and told to get as far away from Ford as humanly possible. Ford lashed out in response to Stan’s anger, not thinking about why his twin was acting like this but focused on the dangers that he knew was to come the longer the journal remained near the portal
