  1. Academic / Scholarly achievements & talent
  2. Any accomplishments related to academia and scholarly pursuit should go here. Note that this category should include more extraordinary feats, like journal publications or external competitions - it should not consist of say, your sec 3 grades.
  3.
  4. Little to none accreditation or official accomplishments. I used to be good in math olympiad back in primary school though. Was ranked 22nd in Singapore at one point in time (in P5 at SMOPS and APMOPS) and amongst top 40 in RI Primary Mathematics World Contest 2008. In Sec 2 I was also ranked 5th in an international chinese riddle competition.
  5. But in the past two years even based on how much of a studious and stalwart student I am I haven’t really achieved anything based on the criterion posited here.
  6.
  7. Sports, Music, Theatre & the Arts
  8. Do you have a talent in script writing, poetry & prose, in playing a musical instrument or skill with a racket? All talents and skills related to these fields should be entered here. (Having it as part of your CCA counts too!)
  9.
  10. I played the piano, drums and guitar but am very rusty now that I haven’t played them for a very long time. (in other words I’ve almost completely forgotten how to play, particularly most of the Italian lingo that comes with classical music terminology)
  11. Apart from watching indie and art house films, reading extensively and listening to underground and indie music I do not yet have a demonstrable talent in script writing, poetry and prose.
  12. As for skill with a racket it is somewhat arbitrary but I perceive my capabilities in sports to be nothing more than commonplace, and more of a jack of all trades but a master of none.
  13.
  14. Community Service, counselling, etc
  15. Have you contributed greatly to the society? If you have numerous service learning projects, or have taken counselling/lifeguard/first aid courses and received some certification, list them here. Anything related to the humanistic side can be included here.
  16.
  17. I am a self-centred person and I vehemently abjure any form of contribution which I may be capable of offering to society.
  18. In all seriousness though I used to take lifeguard classes but I quit before I took the test which would have given me accreditation.
  19. As for CIP I find it incongruous with reality that normal CIP should be considered to be a great contribution to society unless it is an actual part of a project, of which I have partaken in none.
  20.
  21. Other Skills
  22. This category is reserved for skills that do not really seem to fit into any of the other categories. Good oratorical or debating skills, dee-jaying, cooking - anything that does not seem like your everyday run-of-the-mill talent. (Note - Prodigious DOTA/CS talent, unless at the international level, should not be seen here)
  23.
  24. I have a kayaking three-star certificate.
  25. Everything else that would otherwise be skills is mostly unsanctioned by the Hon administration.
  26. Maybe you may have read this response of mine as a very periphrastic and circumlocutory way to vent my vexation at the needlessness of response when I truly lack the “talent” but I can assure you that this verbose verbiage was wholly for the sake of self-amusement.
