- Necessary components for tree-power farm:
- - Crescent wrench: Changes the direction of Thermal Expansion blocks via right click.
- - TREE: unga unga unga
- - Arboreal extractor: Harvests liquid RESIN from trees. Does not require power.
- - FLUIDUCT: Carries liquids.
- - FLUXDUCT: Carries redstone current (power).
- - Fractionating still: Needs to be powered. Cooks liquid RESIN into solid ROSIN, and produces TREE OIL as a biproduct.
- - Steam dynamo: Actual power generator. Will consume 1 solid and 1 liquid. In this case - ROSIN produced by the fractionating still, and water fed by an aqueous accumulator.
- - Aqueous accumulator: Carries water or some shit. Doesn't need to be powered.
- - Compression dynamo: Big boy power generator. Will water and another fluid to produce power. In this case - TREE OIL produced by the fractionating still, and water fed by an aqueous accumulator.
- Arboreal extractor rules:
- - Tree must be grown / already existing, cannot be 'built'.
- - Tree must remain on a dirt block.
- - Extractors must be placed on the lowest block of a tree, and do not function in any of the upper layers.
- - Tree must have at least 1-2 layers of leaves.
- Usage
- - Place up to 4x Arboreal Extractors on a resin producing tree.
- - Set FLUIDUCTS beneath extractors to pull out resin from the tree. Bottom panel of extractors set to output.
- - FLUIDUCTS feed into bottom of fractionating still, set to input.
- - Fractionating still outputs ROSIN into steam dynamo. (Can be placed right beside dynamo.) ((Configure ROSIN output source in still UI.))
- - Aqueous accumulator is set up with water blocks around it, with FLUIDUCTS running into the steam + compression dynamos.
- - FLUXDUCTS connect the fractionating still, compression dynamo, and steam dynamo along the top. (This is also where you tap into power for other devices.)
- - Steam dynamo is kickstarted via 3 sticks, and from then on will run automatically.
- - Set fractionating still to feed TREE OIL into the compression dynamo.
