I've even done all the preparations for the lesson!

アイドルの動画をいろいろ見てきたの。
まずは、プロのレベルを知って、
目標を立てるところからでしょ。
I've seen different videos of idols.
First, I have to know the level of the pros
and then lay out the goal, right?

夏美

目的地がわからないと、最短ルートも
割り出せないしね。努力をするのは好きだけど、
大人だからムダなことをしている時間はないし。
If we don't know our destination, then we wouldn't be able to figure what the shortest route could be. I like putting in some effort but since I'm an adult  I don't have time to waste on unnecessary things.

あらっ、意外かしら。
これでも、結構努力家のよ？
ＣＡになれたのも、努力したからだし♪
Oh, was that surprising?
Still, I am quite a hard worker.
I did put in the effort when I first became a stewardess.

実はね。
学生時代は、結構、残念な体型だったのよ。
だいぶ落として今の体型になったの。
To tell you the truth, back when I was in college, I really had an awful body.
I've lost quite a lot of weight and I attained my current figure.

ふふ♪びっくりした？
痩せたときの反響は、凄まじかったんだから♪
「あの夏美が！」って、女友達もみんな驚いたわ。
Fufu  Surprised?
The feedback I got when I got thinner was amazing.
My other female friends gasped in disbelief and were like "As in that Natsumi!".

それがうれしくて、ダイエットも、メイクもかなり頑張ったわ！
スタイルを手に入れて、勉強も頑張ったわ。
それで、努力して、なんとか憧れのＣＡになったの。
I'm so happy hearing that and I worked on my dieting and makeup!
After getting a nice figure, I also gave my best when it comes to my studies.
And so, with hard work, I was able to become a stewardess that I dreamt of.

夏美
Natsumi
私を知るか誰も言ってたわ。
「あの夏美が、ＣＡなんて信じられない」って。
でもね、私は努力したわ。努力して、ＣＡになったの。
Anyone who knows me all say the same thing.
"I can't believe that Natsumi is a stewardess."
But, I did put in the effort. I worked hard and became a stewardess.

Natsumi
だから、アイドルだって、きっと同じでしょう。
ちゃんと努力すれば、売れっ子アイドルにだって
なれるって信じてるわ！
Which is, being an idol would just be the same.
I believe that, if I were to do my best, I would become a sought-after idol!

一緒に頑張ろう！
Let's both do our best!

もちろん、そのつもりよ！
さぁ、ムダにする時間はないわ。
さっさと始めましょ！
Of course, that's what I plan to!
Okay, we don't have much time to waste.

After a few hours

ここのステップ、難しいわね。
はぁ・・・・・・一旦、休憩させて・・・・・・。
This step here is quite difficult.
Haa... Please let me rest for a while...

初めてにしては、できてるよ

・・・・・・そういうの、いいわよ。
プロのレベルには全く達していないでしょ。
常に上を目指し続けていかなくちゃ。
You don't need to console me.
It's totally not on the level of pros, right.
I have to keep on aiming to be better than average.

・・・・・・休憩は終わり。続けましょう。
...Break time's over. Let's continue.

夏美はダンスレッスンを根気よく続けた・・・・・・
Natsumi diligently continued with her dance lesson.

A few days later

ここで、キメッ☆どう？
苦手だったステップは克服したわ。
And, pose here.  What do you think?
I've overcome that step I used to be bad at.

あら、こんなものじゃないわよ？
ちゃーんと見ていて？
Oh, but this is nothing, you know?
Do watch closely okay?

ターン！
カッコよく、キメ！
One and two, step!
Turn!
Then, strike a cool pose!

ふふ、どうかしら？
Fufu  What do you think?

・・・・・・やった♪その台詞って、とっても快感なのよねー♪
おでぶさんからＣＡに。そして、ＣＡからアイドルに！
もっともっと誇れる私になってみせるわ。
Alright! Hearing those words sure is pleasant
From a chubby person to a stewardess. And now, from a stewardess to an idol!
I'm going to be a much, much better version of myself.

目を離した隙に、すっごくキレイになって、
誰だかわからんくなっちゃうかも♪
The moment you look away, maybe I'll become very beautiful, so much that you won't recognize me.

それは困る・・・・・・
That would be a problem...

だから、私から目を離しちゃだめよ。
プロデューサーさん。
And that is why, you shouldn't take your eyes off me, Producer-san.

じゃあ、続けましょうか。
努力で明日の私を輝かせるためにっ♪
