Have a Marehood Christmas /mlp/! - Part 5

This dream is just getting bizarre...

You start out looking around some cheap white room, then you hear a strange voice coming from somewhere...

"Anon...Can thou heareth me, Anon? Follow mine voice, Anon."

You can hear a voice...a woman's voice coming from behind a door. You pry the door open, cautiously looking around.

"Fear not, Anon. There is no one to harm thee here. Please enter."

You step in, closing the door behind you. "Who are you...more importantly, where are you?"

"Here." Suddenly you see the room you're standing in ripped away, all of the walls and the ceiling disappeared before you, revealing some sort of golden platform, a crest of the moon embedded into it. "I am above thy gaze. Look higher..."

You then realize what the giant slab of gold and gems is: a horseshoe. Looking high above you is another pony, though far bigger than Lotus or Aloe are. She cranes her neck down to gain a closer look, and you start to feel weightless as a bluish, starry aura wraps around your body, lifting you up to meet this pony's eyes.

"Anon, I come to thee to impart upon thyself a certain knowledge."

"Wait, are you just going to skip past the part where you tell me who you are?"

"Very well, dearest Anon. I am Princess Luna of Equestria. I come to tell thee something vastly dire. I believe you wish to return to thine world. I regret to inform that you are unable to return at this moment."

The news hits you like a sledgehammer. "What?"

"However, if you wish, you may be able to return to your home world when this current moon cycle ends."

"And when is that?"

"Exactly seventeen hours from now."

You were just starting to get acquainted with your hostesses, too. You've had more fun after dumping your car in a pile of snow than you've had before it, but what of your family? To not be home for the holidays, to not be able to enjoy the gifts you've received, or see the joy in the faces of family and friends as your gifts to them become revealed.

But the last few hours, your life's some kind of a strange heaven. The very decision is enough to drive you insane, enough to shoot yourself awake, hard breathing and gasping included, and it's enough to reach the nearby ears of Lotus Blossom.

"Hey, are you okay, Anon?"

"Yeah...I'm okay, but I think I had a vision."

"A vision? What about?"

"Some Princess Luna came to me and told me I have seventeen hours until I have to choose between my home and yours."

"Oh, Anon...I'm sorry. I mean, it may not be true."

"But my family...what about them? What if I choose to stay and desert the only people who seem to love me?"

Lotus breathes a sigh, then after a awkward pause, she decides to tell you something she isn't comfortable sharing with just anyone else.

"Anon...My sister and I grew up-"

"In a socialist government where you and your twin sister fled in order to gain an opportunity in Equestria? Aloe told me all about it. I could tell you two didn't like sharing after all that."

"Exactly...Well, before we left, our mother told us one thing before we left. She told us to never give up on our dreams. We worked so hard to get where we are. So Aloe asked her 'What about you? What about your dreams, Mother?' You know what she said to us?"

You looked down over the headband you're sleeping over "What did she say?"

"Jас век‛е живееле моJот сон да има две прекрасни к'ерки."

"Uhh, Lotus, I don't speak any of that..."

"Oh, sorry. In Manecedonian it means 'I have already lived my dream, a dream of raising two wonderful daughters.' I'll never forget what she's done for us, and though we may be millions of miles away, she'll still be a part of me wherever she is."

"I have that same feeling with my parents. But I still have a commitment to make tomorrow. I'll be more than happy to work with you two."

"Oh, don't worry, we'll give you our most well-reserved and special guest. She's a real diva, but I guarantee that you'll do just fine with her."

"Thank you, Lotus. You won't be disapppinted, and neither will my first clientele. Anyway, I think it's time we go back to sleep. I know I'm going to need it."

As you tuck yourself inside Lotus' headband, you drift off to sleep, the decision still lingering in your mind...
