One day I'm gonna write a poem in a letter
The words I have to say
May well be simple but they're true
I'm not quite sure what I’m supposed to do
So I'll just write some love to you
…
I bet you laugh out loud at me

Showed your picture to the guys in my gang:
The boy in the bright blue jeans
All my friends can see is just the pinkness of his skin
But very wise was he.
My sweetest friend,
He's never early, he's always late
First thing you learn is that you always gotta wait

I'll make you a deal
When the sun goes down
With you by my side
We'll buy some drugs and watch a band
As the world falls down
Thank god heaven left us
Standing on our feet

The dawns early light
I never want to say goodnight

Just when the best things in life are gone
The stars look very different today
Then you sigh in your sleep
And meaning returns with the day
Knows what it means, but
Cannot explain

Wake up each morning rise up from my bed
Wake up you sleepy head

Because I'd rather stay here
And we'd talk with our eyes
Of the sweetness in our lives
And tomorrows of rich surprise
And I wonder sometimes
When that angel stuck in my mind

A winter's day, a bitter snowflake on my face
See my tears like gentle rain
Leave 'em a note wishing 'Happy New Year’,
I called your name
Your soothing hand that turned me round
Hugging and a-kissing, late at night

Let your hair hang down
Let's spend the night together now
We could have fun just by fooling around, and around

I love the sound of making love, the feeling of your skin
Don't want to know the past,
I want to know the real deal
No matter what or who you've been
No matter when or where you've seen.

Seems that everywhere I turn
I look around and everything is you
Everything’s alright
