  1. "SERVE SCALED IMAGES" ISSUE IN WORDPRESS
  2. I have WP Rocket installed and activated but GT Metrix gives me 0% for scaled images. Is it possible to somehow configure WP Rocket to solve this issue or should I use another plugin?

  14. Try smush plugin.
  15. This is a common problem with responsive websites, don't mind it that much as it Will be hard to solve without changing the theme. To solve this in a responsive website youd need to read the client screen size before actually sending them the image files.
  16. The most common workaround to this is having 3 "websites" the mobile one, the desktop one and the tablet one so you only server exactly those 3 image sizes that will kind of fit in most websites
  17. Smush conflicts with WP Rocket unfortunately....
  18. WP rocket works for me. Have you also tried using image optimizers? Or the one you are currently using is optimizing your images too much to make pages responsive.

  20. The worse suggestion that u can give. U are spreading ctr credits across 3 dif pages and screwing up google serp logic
  21. Wp rocket does not do image optimization by itself. You need another plugin in parallel.
  22.
  23. Try imagify or short pixel. Leverage their built in webp functionality as well.
  24. More than just the 0 score, it's important to see how much data you would save by doing this. Sometimes it says like "you can save 83% (4kb)" which is obviously not even worth a second worth of work.
  25.
  26. But, if you uploaded a 8k image for your homepage that will never ever be used at that size, then resize it and reupload the biggest version that would need to be shown and then see how it goes.

  28. As long as you do it correctly, it is not only supported by Google, its going to give you the best possible performance for each platform you are working on.
