  1. (Don’t know much here so if I got something wrong sorry)
  2.
  3. Well now I know what Suzaku from Code Geass felt like trying to work from within a corrupt organization to try and repair it.
  4.
  5. I was immediately sent after Luffy and his crew to try and capture them. I usually found some reason not to fight/arrest them usually because I was arresting the people they had just fought or managed to be just one step behind them.
  6.
  7. Through our frequent encounters we developed something of a mutual respect. I was actually just trying to do my job and do the right thing which were not always the same thing. He and his crew were decent being protagonists and all.
  8.
  9. All this time I tried to work from within to try and get rid of the corruption but it was too deeply entrenched. Also trying to work against some of the top brass didn’t win me many friends.
  10.
  11. Then came the marineford war….
  12.
  13. That was an insane battle of overpowered people.
  14.
  15. I was pretty sickened by the marines at that point. I was trying to avoid Luffy because I didn’t want to fight him but of course I wound up in his path and have to fight him as the poor guy is half dead. He called me out on the fact I didn’t feel Ace deserved to die. Honestly I was planning to resurrect him later but still.
  16.
  17. I finally realized what I was doing wasn’t working and I couldn’t let someone who didn’t deserve it be executed. My companions and I turned right there. To quote just about all of them “about damn time.” I healed Luffy up and together we saved Ace and fought a lot of absurdly overpowered people.
  18.
  19. We were able to save Ace but not White Beard . Afterwards we were offered a spot on Luffy’s crew. I didn’t think his ship could support all of us so I declined. Instead we took to the seas not as Pirates but as vigilantes dispensing real justice instead of the twisted version the Marines subscribed to.
  20.
  21. Of course it didn’t matter that I didn’t join his Crew we bumped in to Luffy and his crew so often we were considered unofficial members.
