- [10:00] Sak'noth says, "And the changes done after it as well."
- [10:00] Xarxes asks, "Which changes are you referring to?"
- [10:01] Xarxes says, "There have been so many."
- [10:02] Myarsie exclaims, "In general I think! Just your.. Overall thoughts, Lord Xarxes!"
- [10:03] Xarxes says, "As a collective the alterations made are progress, dissolution of the Witches a proper step toward doing as one wills. The tournament will play a vital role in granting a true visual representation of potential futures."
- [10:03] Xarxes says, "Overall its the best one can achieve given the circumstances."
- [10:10] Sak'noth says, "Good."
- [10:19] Sak'noth says, "Alright."
- [10:19] Sak'noth says, "Let us begin our work."
- [10:25] Guiding both beings into his tower, the Fel Khan then entered the forge. In this place, there were already imps carrying crates with the materials to be used, some of these beings being quite weakened due to the amount of Tyrium.
- With this initial sight, the being approached and gestured towards it.
- "The materials have been collected, it's time for us to work on our project - however." A pause, he looked in the direction of Xarxes, before continuing - "We will be creating something else, one more unique and that will have the intention of helping to defend our borders from the Invaders of Aen who constantly attack our lands.
- And what would that be? Well." A pause was effected once more, as he moved to the table where he made his schematics from time to time.
- In this one was resting a paper, which was then touched by the avian's talon.
- "A Demonic Obelisk." However, no emphasis or details were offered concerning this, an initial mystery to incite curiosity.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [10:29] Mya's hands were behind their back, counting away at the materials, sometimes assisting the imps in their collection and moving of them without any failures. But otherwise they were silent, the youth was no artificer, even if they did oh so enjoy watching such people go to work. An itch at the back of their mind considered asking if they should fetch Fabbondel or Olivia but...
- Such thoughts were stiffled. If their Master wanted either, he would make it clear to them.
- Idle eyes did look towards the resting parchment, the one that the avian's talon pressed against ever so sightly. The cotton-candy haired teen hopping excitably from one foot to the other as they nodded their head lightly.
- "A Demonic Obelisk... To protect our borders." They'd repeat the words with a curious tilt of their head and a flutter of their lashes. The cold gaze of the ever-loyal youth settling upon their Master as they awaited further elaboration.
- Or instruction.
- (Myarsie)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [10:30] The fairy followed along as one would imagine, there was always a distinct level of interest when it came with the Demonic figures of Abendrot. Each so vastly unique with their ideals and growing ambitions, yet he had figured there was a crown to begin processing upon... Yet the mention of this Obelisk was unfounded and beyond edging his interests.
- "Aenites have proven to be a true problem with their strength and numbers, incomparable to other nations in sheer units of bodies that seem to exist within their ranks. This Obelisk, you're certain it will grant an opportunity to maintain their figures from encroaching upon our lands?" he finally said our, as if he were a part of this entire place now. Having fought alongside them since the beginning, overshadowing the most devastating aspects of Meranthe on their behalf, it seemed reasonable to finally say it.
- "I'd like to know everything there is in regard to the construction, the expected result and the means you desire to follow through via this conduit of power. I assume it will be a conduit based on the effective usages of obelisks. You've caught my interest, but now its the time to satiate it." he was willing to aid them.
- "Tell me everything, down to the finite details. How can I be of assistance in this regard?"
- (Xarxes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [10:39] A brief glance was turned towards Mya, the one who had collected most of the resources - before returning his gaze to Xarxes, who was emphasizing the threat posed by Aen, until asking for the details on the project..
- So it was time to speak.
- "A notable thing about my kind is that where there is a Greater Demon, there will be Lesser ones following - they will always be crowding around Greater ones, to follow their commands.
- It is the natural law of our kind, the strongest lead, the weak follow." The creature explained, as he landed beside the table - his gaze diverging among those present, "So, to deal with numbers, we will need numbers. And as much as I can do that for myself, I can't guarantee it for others.
- And that's where the Demonic Obelisk comes in, a beacon to attract the smaller ones - one to accumulate them in an area where we allocate this structure and thus guarantee the numerical advantage for our horde.
- And howare we going to do that?" The creature was asking a rhetorical question, as he knew very well how they were going to do it - he had planned everything for this project.
- As expected.
- So, he moved to the ore box and picked up a huge chunk of tyrium, which was raised towards them - material that consumed all the mana in its surroundings, as well as that of the winged beast.
- "We will create the Obelisk out of Tyrium, as well as other things with the demonic taint - the metallic material will drain energy from the surroundings, from nature..
- And it will power the demonic taint.
- This will create a miasma that will then attract creatures to a certain location and so." A pause, he would drop the material and then open his arms, "We will have demons to aid the others when attacked close to our borders." Then concluding his explanation, he would stop to observe the reactions from both.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [10:48] There was a mild flinch, the youth never did like dealing with Tyrium, especially as it drew from their leylines- that meek occultic flow from them shifting away to be consumed by the chunk of the raw ore, their shoulders slouch somewhat and they'd roll them a few times to stand up straight.
- Their lips pursed, the youth wasn't the brightest but they tried to let their thoughts linger for the moment! It was what their master wanted of them, to think. A hand rose, and eyes soon drew to the ring upon their finger. A quiet lingering stare upon it...
- "Something of that magnitude will require a LOT of demonic taint. Buuut.. Not just any demonic taint." Their gaze shifts away from the ring as the finger which adorned it flexs ever so slightly. "Strong demonic taint. A lot of it, right? So so so..."
- "Is the intention that, once the Obelisk is formed, the Kaors and the Elementals closest to Kaor, will gather and infuse it with their like.. Presence?" They'd ask with another tilt of their head afterwards.
- (Myarsie)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [10:54] Intently listening to what Sak'noth had to say there was quite the considerable amount of information being bombarded on the fairy. Effectively they were going to forge a conduit that would accumulate the demonic essence within the area that could be effectively controlled as a means to ensure victory within the confines of Abendrots borders.
- "A foundation of Tyrium to effectively draw upon the unnatural essence lingering within the air to produce a conduit on Demonic tyranny that can be controlled and harnessed..." flying around the room slightly he would land upon a table and sit himself down so he could contemplate the various portions that would come into play, clearly Sak'noth understood the ins and outs of this idea which meant that he held the entire plan within the mind.
- "I'm assuming you plan to utilize the tournament as a means to accumulate a considerable portion of the taint you're seeking to collect." he would tapon his head for a few moments "A cover to collect forces and seek who is the strongest while also utilizing the opportunity to unwittingly drain those of their prowess in order to take strides toward the completion of this artifact you desire." the hands clapped slightly as he thought it was a wonderful idea.
- "You really have grown into quite the mastermind, ever since you were little I knew that you were going to be growing into some fantastical being." without question.
- "I can offer you my hands toward working with Tyrium, as a highly efficient magical conduit the drain doesn't severely effect me alongside my ability to work constructs of shadow to lighten the mana load. As for runic inscription I can aid toward any form you might desire in a finite manner as I have an expansive collection of understanding toward it." there was one more thing to touch on.
- "The Tyrium will likely condense into a rather unique form with the sheer volume of essence you're injecting however. Akin to cold iron, or even something entirely different. Likely a far more impressive tainted material that Meranthe has never seen before." it was a hypothesis.
- "Regardless, I am most interested."
- (Xarxes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:04] "Exactly, both are correct.. The Miasma will come from the tournament, but also, along with me and another one we will imbue the Obelisk - once I reach my Kaor stage.
- Also.." He paused, raising a claw in the air - "We will use the essences collected by K'thul, to further imbue the rune system we will create from cobalthine and the fungi.
- But first." A pause, but truth be told..
- They were right on track, a demonic structure that would be imbued with combat, demonic power and also the essence of a cultist. Still.. It would be one thing at a time of course, requiring several steps, the first one they would take today.
- Clearly.
- "After the runes we will fill the interior with fae dust and demonic horn, to be the energy catalyst.
- The magical conduit." He explained showing the rest of the materials-before then, "Alright, we'll get to work now then, Xarxes - we'll first build the base of the structure..
- Using Tyrium, that's why you were summoned, not only to plan this all - but to begin the work, we don't have time to lose.. We must begin it as soon as possible.
- And the time is now." He concluded at last, gesturing towards the workshop.
- Everything was at the fae's disposal, ready for his use.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:12] "Essences! Okay, I'll start looking for people to hunt after I get a few things done." A head-nod follows from the youth as their hands slid behind their back, essence gathering? All they needed to do was drag it away from other lively individuals. It shouldn't be too hard to obtain, right?
- The rest however had them swaying in place silently, observing and yet not speaking up unless spoken towards! The human didn't quite understand the technical work.
- (Myarsie)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:16] There was something missing in his eyes, a single and simple piece to act as a proper circuitry that could be alleviated alongside the materials he sought to include.
- "Orichalcum may also be a fitting form of artificial circuitry, with the other materials presented it could additionally add a means to effectively conduct the force bestowed within this device. A means to alleviate the burden placed across the other materials, I'd say fifty or so pieces considering the level of Tyrium going into this could do the trick." but there was another assumption.
- "Of course, the addition of adamantite for the foundation would also enhance its structural support as we could weave the base structure with this material into the ground slightly where its out of sight yet perfectly incapable of being uprooted. Endless cascading through the ground capable of holding it in place against monstrous storms and otherwise large scale destruction." it was a means to an end, if desired.
- "I can provide those materials with ease, would take but a moment to collect however in current standing let us begin the process of breaking down these materials into a malleable state workable." twelve vast claws of darkness began to expand from his figure, physical manifestations of magic condensed heavily to support the weight of these structures while also alleviating the drain.
- The forge was going to be abused this day as he began to move materials around the room at an incredible pace, prepared to work and weave with claws effectively akin to hammers and tongs. All manifested from his own power, all serving the purpose of breaking down the materials and bringing them together into a squared foundation through fire and effort.
- The time for maximum effort was nigh.
- (Xarxes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:19] {Item} You picked up Adamantite x50. Dropped by Xarxes.
- [11:23] "Do so my Mya, your help will be of importance, I want your direct participation in this creation." The creature spoke, his attention for an instant being fully on her.
- Who was a witch and soon to be a cambion, his cambion. Hence, the importance her participation in the creation of this demonic artifact, one that would be of great importance to all demons of Abendrot, as well as cambions and witches.
- Her name would be remembered for her doings.
- "Orichalcum.. Very well, we can provide it." The being informed, snapping his fingers that made the imps go get said materials and then, bring the ingots to the fae.
- Without much delay.
- With that done, everything they would need for the project was at hand - thus, they could begin the work that would certainly be prolonged. But as expected, it would be rewarding when completed, as it should leave them more steps to make the horde return to its glory or well, reach it this time.
- And once it happen, mortals won't defeat them.
- Not again.
- "Let me know if you need anything, Xarxes.. But for now, this is your workshop, as my knowledge of artificing is limited to the theoretical, rather than the practical." The creature made it clear as it gestured for Mya to come closer and stay by his side.
- Since they needed to make room for the artificer.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:32] Momentary attention was given to the youth as they shifted and wobbled in place! Their eyes light up, the detached, cold gaze brightening visibly for a moment and a giddy, gleeful smile toying across their lips! Seconds pass, and they could only bring themselves to nod in enthusiastic silence, the youngster over the moon when Sak'noth gave them a sliver of acknowledgement;
- Though this time the addition of my had its effect.
- "I shall I shall..." Obtain Lyssa's home, get the anvil set up, and have their portly friend do his work, and then? Then... The youth would begin their hunting in earnest.
- Danger was fine. Pain from their victim, or of their own body? Ideal! The young witch's eyes fltutered shut and they twirled quietly in place! Only to slink towards the Avian when the gesture was made. By the Demon's side, the youngster remained, hands clasped together and giddy excitement on their face.
- (Myarsie)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:39] The imps around the workshop were doing his bidding, bringing forth the vast quantity of materials he required in order to forge the foundation and circuitry... Everything was placed into the forge, at least that required for the foundation of the conduit which included a vast number of Adamantite, tyrium, and a few pieces of orichalcum which could work in tandem as he build up the structure.
- "The base structure will be large, required to have four sides yet come to a point at the pinnacle. Descending like a real obelisk. Adamantite will streak up the four corners and hold as the foundation for weighted effectiveness alongside a strengthened structure. It also isn't a terrible magical conduit itself through the weight is a limiting factor in most practical applications. With the nature of what we're seeking to accomplish?" it was rather perfect. He didn't even need to say it.
- A snap of his real fingers took attention of the Imps. "Maintain the flames, ensure they do not go out else you will become the coal." it was a very serious tone carried as he worked crucibles within the forges, heat-treating materials was the first step to dissolve any unwanted imperfections within material that could be removed via slag.
- In essence he was effectively accomplishing the work of six human artificers by himself while mentally processing the dimensions of this obelisk and how to properly suit the material in questions. The base structure was what he needed to currently forge, mainly adamantite but also a portion of tyrium to begin.
- Half of the Adamantite was smelting, refining, becoming usable. Once it happened to finish he collected tools and devices to make a mold. "Wood, nails, sand, go. Snap Snap." Imps scrambling while he completed the first session of material to weave, pulling slag with the claws while also preparing for the next phase.
- Imps did as they were instructed, a very... very large box began to get formed with the materials as he forcefully clasped it together. A large tendril of shadows sweeping through the sand giving a perfectly flat surface in order to pour material onto, to cast the foundation of Adamanite in which they could build upon.
- Claws weaving crucibles free of fire, gentle pouring of material came with smoke filling the room as wood burned and pieces fell together. He couldn't control the temperature, but he could hasten the effective process entirely via time manipulation to accelerate the period of time of the material alone which came with a green haze falling over the heated metals.
- "Sak'noth, are you capable alchemically? If so your work toward the distillation of compounds with the materials provided would be most appreciated. Otherwise I can do it, just have the imps bring in the necessary equipment."
- All the while this was his true test of capabilities, time manipulation in tandem with shadowmancy while mentally running through several different tasks at once. The true power of the fairy on full display for them to see.
- (Xarxes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:46] Like a gargoyle the being positioned itself, wings covering it like a blanket. Eyes focused on Xarxes' work as he made sure to keep the imp under control, forcing them to follow the fae's commands.
- Being a demon, there was no need for speech - just commands that every demon would understand.
- Now, what Xarxes did was clear. He would make the center area out of tyrium, the edges out of adamantite. It would be tough and also effective - something only a craftsman could do, something Sak'noth unfortunately wasn't - but that was by choice.
- Since it had other focuses.
- "No, my knowledge is quite limited for theory, information of it, rather than the practical work - I rarely practice anything other than my kind's demonic rituals.
- Unfortunately, you will be performing this task on your own, Xarxes." The creature explained, while silence was maintained.
- He pondered what he was doing, because after this project.. They would have to set new things to do. But what? Maybe something to improve the horde's capabilities in combat, some kind of 'blessing' - something that would be hyronic for a demon.
- Or maybe..
- "Mya, the blade you wield, is it effective?" He questioned, as something came to his mind.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:53] The aquamarine blade shifts upon their back as they were addressed, the youth observing the work of the Fae with mild attentiveness. Yet when spoken towards their head would turn to face Sak'noth, a rapid flutter of their lashes following soon afterwards.
- "It is. But, I've got a commission for a battle hammer to replace it. Blades are efficient... But I prefer blunt weapons." Their eyes light up once more and a small twitch follows at the corner of their lips. A cheshire grin shaping along the pale-skinned youth's face as they nodded their head slowly and thoughtfully.
- "There's something very satisfying about it... Plus.. It prolongs the suffering~" Bone by brittle bone, bruse by bruise, to apply more and more pressure until something simply...
- Pops...
- "Mmmmhmm~"
- A soft murmur from them before they'd blink themselves out of their stupor.
- (Myarsie)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:02] On his own... There was a visible pause as he just now realised all of the effective work was on his tiny shoulders, forced to carry the burden of this devices creation for nothing more than having been around to do so. It was ever so slightly insane that he was even talked into this, yet the claws maneuvered through the room with haste as he seemed to not only need to accomplish the entire forging, but alchemical aspects of this.
- Trying not to break mentally he began processes via the alchemical lab which could cultivate the nature of these resources toward their designations.
- "Wait... You said the runic systems would be accomplished utilizing K'thul's essences so I actually have no need to do any alchemical things at this time." a brief breath of relief as he came back to that. All he needed to do was physically construct this design that needed to be layered like a cake with internal wiring and various requirements.
- "Long metallic sheets, preferably adamantite or Nyeshk if on hand." he waved off the Imps once more as he persisted to pour in Tyrium within the foundation created, he needed to box, layer, pour, spread. Utilizing the fullest extent of his mana to create a physical manipulation of these materials while also compounding it with chronomancy in order to accelerate the cooling process to slowly work his way up this tiered device.
- Tyrium centralized, Orichalcum injections like wires in equivalent distance from the center to effectively make four jutting tubes of the material which could ease conduction of mana through the device. All the while reinforced with adamantite upon the corners that was carefully added and firmly melded with the other materials.
- From the base, they worked up. Slow, steady, less than a foot at a time with the materials as the weight of this device was gradually becoming incredible and the sheer force of material drain was starting to take notice from all beings present.
- "I recommend in the event there is another large scale project such as this an assistant toward the creation could be a wise measure taken. Its far from impossible with my skills alone, yet always interesting to have alternative abilities placed." but he wasn't going to complain, merely carrying out the work one step at a time.
- The forges burned, the temperature in the room was hotter with every passing moment and his creation was slowly but surely coming to life with a scaffolding of materials coming into play. Due to chronomancy, it was happening far faster than one could typically achieve.
- (Xarxes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:13] Truth be told, at this point people might consider that Sak'noth was slowly enslaving them - and well, they wouldn't be wrong! He was the Khan, a demon, and he needed things done, things he couldn't always get on his own..
- Indeed.
- This could be considered him using them as slaves for the working.
- So yes... People would have to feel sorry for Xarxes, as Sak'noth didn't show it - he would squeeze that Fae down to the last drop of utility, for as long as his goals were met at the end of the day..
- That is what mattered.
- "Yes, I will use K'thul and other people for this project as well - only this initial step you are doing alone, but others will be dragged in to help.
- This project will help everyone, so everyone will have to contribute." The creature informed, because it was the purest truth - he was going to use more people, more would be involved.
- Yeah, it was expected for a project of such magnitude.
- "Anyway.." He paused, his attention turned to Mya and her words, were heard - she was apparently already working on making a hammer.
- And she wanted something specific! Therefore.
- "When the time comes let me know, we will imbue this hammer of yours with my flesh, blood and ether - to strengthen it in a way only you can wield it, as well as causing even more suffering, both physical and mental..
- To your targets.
- It will be my gift to you, Mya." The creature proclaimed, as it was what would be done and there was nothing to say against that could stop it - because when a decision is made by the Khan..
- Such will be done.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:23] Yet another gift for them! The youth nearly tripped over their own two feet. Whatever attention had been given to the Fae and its work, utterly interrupted as they stared wide-eyed up at the Demon. Their hands trembled, and digits gently wringed together as they smiled manically at the thought. So when the hamemr was to be made...
- Sak'noth's presence would be a must must must!
- "Ah-. ah.. Thank you Master..!"
- The words were squeaked out in revelry before they'd blink away the excitement. Even though now they were more twitchy and spastic as they stood in place, than previously. AN endless eagerness to prep and prepare a potential weapon, to become a better extension of their Master's will! The youth's smile widened and their hands slid behind their back.
- "I will make sure to put it to good use."
- (Myarsie)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:24] Their words came as he would proceed with the Obelisk, taxing his entire body and circuitry with the literal slavery that Sak'noth pursued. It was being constructed, towering in height until the point came where they were going to require moving it free from the building which would require a gravitational magus in truth.
- "The foundational aspect of this device is effectively completed, instead of doing everything in a single portion three separate pieces will be done to ensure mobility for the time being and final construction would be relatively easy as it just requires a plasmic magus to weld them together." they had plenty of Fire Elementals that could be suitable for the job, thus he would turn up the heat.
- "Two more boxes." the little hands were cracked and the rest of the material went into the forge, he was going to do everything as swiftly as possible yet efficiently in order to complete the device in a single motion. Materials being heated, boxes being formed by the Imps while he sought drifted tendrils of shadow throughout the room to weave it all to his bidding.
- The collective of boxes formed, sands smoothed, materials maneuvered and minor formations were placed to ensure proper material distribution throughout each aspect of the Obelisk that would provide the essence of measure twice and cut once.
- Darkness filled the room as further claws of shadow seemed to extent from the fairy, each weaving crucibles or plucking free slag from heat-refined materials while he poured and layered together the last portions of the Obelisk. The foundation, the central core, and the peak were slowly but surely formed together and accelerated through Chronomancy. One could not be certain as to just how long he had spent in this room, nor how much time was accelerated via Chronomancy... but one thing was certain as the peak of the Obelisk was finely wrapped in Adamantite material and swiftly processed to a cooled state.
- The creature was utterly drained. Everything he had been tasked with was however, complete. Officially there were four poles of Orichalcum all aligned perfectly in each piece that would allow for transference of energies provided to tyrium. A foundation and sturdy collective of adamantite easing support and effective use.
- "My work, is done. I am going to sleep for several hours." the last of the material cooled, three massive chunks of metal sitting before them trying to suckle their energies. It was a considerable level of effort, but one he felt justified his abilities.
- (Xarxes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:33] "With a hammer imbued with my 'essence', as well as the factor that you will soon become my cambion - the strength of the weapon will be astounding.
- And it will be something almost alive, something I'm sure you'll use to the fullest." In combination with what she said, he added, before the creature offered nod and then watched Xarxes.
- As he was really giving his all to the project. And Sak'noth now watched, as the combination of initial efforts neared its end, as he incremented the orichaculm until at last the final product was there..
- The structure of the Obelisk.
- The Fae's work was over, now... They could work on the runes, but that would be for another time, and other people - for now, would they rest or well, Sak'noth would hunt - do his tasks.
- "This is perfect, great work my fae - it was certainly a good choice to have brought you here, this obelisk when completed will be a landmark for our city.
- Rest, for we will soon continue to work." With that said, he would then turn to Mya and with a swift movement, she would be grabbed and placed over his back.
- And then, they were off to the outside of the structure!
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Myarsie is now following you.
- "And it means I'll have even more of you with me always always always..."
- Mumbled hastily under their breath as one hand slid over the ring hidden beneath their gloved hands. The giddiness palpable as the youth lost themselves in their own little world for a brief moment. Their eyes shimmering and trembling and their sights settled straight ahead- that manic grin of theirs widening more vicariously than ever before! It ook moments for them to register the swift grip of the Avian-
- To one moment be upon the ground, and the next upon its back. A series of fluttering blinks followed by a press of their palms into feathers. The grip was light as to not provide discomfort whilst they were spirited away.
- "I ah- just need to speak with Lyssa to get her old place, and maybe help her set up the Research Pact's base in that inn. Yep yep..! Then speak with Fabbie and let him know that you'll be incorporating yourself into the weapon..."
- Their voice was a bit more light and lucid, sometimes Mya wasn't sure if they were truly awake or trapped in a dream..
- Be it reality or something concocted by their mind, it was all oh so pleasant!
- (Myarsie)
- You are gaining benefits from your guild's watchtower.
