[2015-07-08 13:20:32] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote rolls her eyes.  "I was waiting for that."  To Shatara, "We're sealed in now.  I'm sure they're closing the others up too, just to make sure.  Some families don't trust the Wameli not to run off with the Griffin's Goblet and leave without them."

[2015-07-08 13:21:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat adds, "I was there when we... um... distrupted the Leviathan's engine. When the ship imploded it seemed to vanish completely. Like a snake eating its own tail."
[2015-07-08 13:21:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3When Mwana translates what CopyCat says, there is a ripple of excitement through the gathered pirates.  The Captain has several sharp words with them, and the scurry back to their work.  Through Mwana, "Choose who will speak to the other Captains about the Leviathan.  It would be best if it was Captain Noble_Heart, but that cannot be helped."
[2015-07-08 13:21:19] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat tilts her head. "Although we had not thought to look for wreckage. We were quite happy to have survived the Leviathan's passing."
[2015-07-08 13:21:37] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"When you tell them what occurred, tell it as..." There is a pause in the translating and a whining complaint from Mwana.  Then, "...as Golden_Dream tells it.  Say nothing of the ship disappearing."
[2015-07-08 13:21:44] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Goldy pokes Copycat. "She's the one what speaks th' best. I jus' yell at folks."
[2015-07-08 13:21:52] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat glances at Goldy as the need for Noble_Heart is repeated. "That... might be arranged."
[2015-07-08 13:21:57] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Goldy 's eyes go wide, excitement filling her bones. "You figured it out?!"
[2015-07-08 13:22:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat bites her lip at Goldy's excited response. "Um, I'm afraid not. Not like that. I just mean that if the other pirates need to /see/ our captain, well..." she looks down and shuffles her hooves awkwardly. "I could pretend."
[2015-07-08 13:22:09] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Goldy opened her mouth... Then closed it. "... Do it, I guess."

[2015-07-08 13:22:48] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The drone crumples under Noble_Heart's swing, the lamp-post sword doing catastrophic damage to the relatively frail machine.
[2015-07-08 13:22:59] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Now, it lies at her hooves, a sparking mess of metal.  The red lights of its "eyes" dim and die.
[2015-07-08 13:23:12] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Noble_Heart frowns and lowers her head slightly to examine the wreckage. She was no master of mechanics, but she did know plenty about arcanotech and magical systems. "If there are drones, there must be a way for them to get in. And someone for them to signal. Be on your guard."

[2015-07-08 13:23:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Vespertillo Captain smiles suavely, raises a hoof, and invites CopyCat to the table.  "Navicularius Noble Heart!" he says in an accent that sounds exotic even for the zebra lands.
[2015-07-08 13:23:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat 's eyes scan the room, looking for the captain of the /Cutlass/, then she joins the table.
[2015-07-08 13:23:44] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Captain of the /Cutlass/ nods in greetings to "Captain Noble_Heart".
[2015-07-08 13:23:55] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Vepertillo Captain smiles at CopyCat and speaks with the polite tone of a demand disguised as a request.  Another of the zebras waiting nearby clears her throat and translates, "We are honored that you would join us, Captain Noble Heart of the /Rainbow Connection/.  We are saddened to see the loss of your ship."
[2015-07-08 13:24:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"We all hope you saved everything of value that you could.  Crew and treasures alike."  The Vespertillo Captain pauses moment out of decorum before continuing.  "Now, could you please tell us: what happened to the Imperial's Leviathan?"
[2015-07-08 13:24:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mitzi holds her tongue for now, not wanting to admit right away that she had blown it up.

[2015-07-08 13:30:38] * Bookwright is just pleased that the tension of the past hours has finally relaxed.
[2015-07-08 13:30:47] * CopyCat looks at the other captains cooly. "We destroyed it," she answers as if it were the simplest thing in the world, in a voice suggesting that such matters were beneath Her notice.
[2015-07-08 13:36:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3There is one stripeless who is definitely interested in what Get_Lost is teaching.  Timidly at first, she begins asking a lot of questions, particularly regarding a fully mechanical implimentation of Get_Lost's... wilder ideas.
[2015-07-08 13:37:30] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Aboard the /Skullcrusher/, several of the pirate captains stare in disbelief.  A few scoff.  The Vespertillo Captain smiles grimly, "And how, pray tell, did you accomplish that?"
[2015-07-08 13:39:07] * Get_Lost explains most of the things she can explain, but mechanical usually goes for larger and heavier parts than electronic, this makes everything harder. but why not! hard has never been a problem for solaris! you cut some safety, ignore a couple of major flaws and BAM! there it is!
[2015-07-08 13:43:58] * Mitzi looks around the room, trying to gauge what the pirate captains thought of her and CopyCat
[2015-07-08 13:47:02] * CopyCat graces her audience with a coy smile. "The Leviathans of old were made to be weapons in the war against Equestria. But that was when they were in their prime. Such an old machine, left to rust and ruin, was no match for an Equestrian Princess and Her crew. Even their bound spirit had a change of heart after meeting Our magnificence."
[2015-07-08 13:51:07] * Shatara finds a comfortable spot to observe while he waits for the others to return.
[2015-07-08 14:06:21] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless nods, and starts asking about alternatives to electricity.  The power of steam seems to be top of her list.
[2015-07-08 14:09:27] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Vespertillo Captain raises a skeptic eyebrow.  Another captain steps towards "Noble_Heart", gesticulating wildly as she asks something in a demanding tone.  The translator says, "If you destroyed the Leviathan, then where is the shipwreck?  Were is the plunder?"
[2015-07-08 14:17:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shatara is in a prime spot to observe Get_Lost teaching the stripeless how to make flying hoverships that have at least a chance to reach their intended destination without catastrophic and likely explosive failure.
[2015-07-08 14:17:52] * CopyCat 's smile looks just a little more sinister. "We destroyed it /very well/. We are sure that you have seen the devastation to the land below Us."
[2015-07-08 14:18:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless has begun to focus on questions regarding miniturization, apparently taken with the idea of long-range drones.
[2015-07-08 14:19:08] * Get_Lost "is now talking about power sources, superior alloys, carbonite structures. is going 5 millions caps science again."
[2015-07-08 14:20:21] * Get_Lost "you see? the way to miniaturization goes trough materials: you improve materials and production tecniques, you get smaller and resilient parts."
[2015-07-08 14:21:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The other captain (via translator) says, "Yes, yes.  We see the destruction of the landscape.  What we don't see is salvage!  Surely, even if you took the choice bits for yourself, you couldn't have crammed a Leviathan worth of scrap onto your vessal."
[2015-07-08 14:22:14] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Two of the other captains look at each other and exchange words that, while untranslated, CopyCat can guess are something akin to "what vessel?"
[2015-07-08 14:24:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mitzi and Bookwright meanwhile have remained silent and watching.  Mitzi is finding it difficult to read the striped ponies in the room, although she can smell the barely-bridled concern.  Fear is a scent hellhounds know well.
[2015-07-08 14:27:25] * Mitzi keeps her arms crossed, looking intimidating. If they were going to be concerned, it would do well to make them think a fight would be unwise at the very least.
[2015-07-08 14:27:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless asks how much power the flying machine would need to make it all the way to Equestria.
[2015-07-08 14:31:54] * Bookwright considers that CopyCat is is portraying Noble_Heart extremely well. Worryingly so. He makes a mental note to talk to her after the coast is clear.
[2015-07-08 14:32:43] * Get_Lost makes a couple of calculations "eh it's not that easy.... depends on the source you use, but... i'd not go that way. really. these things can't really stand the plasma firepower from a group of pegasi, don't even consider engaging one of their raptors.... really."
[2015-07-08 14:35:23] * CopyCat continues to regard the assembled captains cooly. "The wreckage is yours to find, if you wish to do so. What We did would best be described as a Mega Spell. We do not expect much to have survived."
[2015-07-08 14:45:37] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless nods, thinking a bit.  And asks about making it small and stealthy.
[2015-07-08 14:48:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The pirate captains clearly do not like that answer but seem willing to accept it.  It does, after all, match up with what they know.  Which leads to an argument between them.  Which swiftly in turn becomes an argument between several of the other captains and the Captain of the /Cutlass/.

ACTION "well, no. really... we're talking pegasi here. they usually have perfect spatial awareness, are nimble and usually they even have  really tickly trigger... as far as they don't have a reason to meddle with you, don't give them one. really. it is a bad idea... remember what happened to canterlot? the pink gas cloud and everything else? welll... pegasi did the same some years ago, but in a less subtle way. they leveled

[2015-07-08 15:01:48] * CopyCat keeps her composure while trying to discern what this new argument might be about. She still projected an aura of aloofness as only a Princess could. She mentally replied to to Golden_Dream [Our friends on the /Cutlass/ do not wish for the others to know all the facts. My concern is whatever is being discussed now.]
[2015-07-08 15:23:56] * CopyCat sends Golden_Dream another message. [Can you ask Mwana what the other captains are arguing about now?]
[2015-07-08 15:25:32] * Golden_Dream nods, then clears her throat. "Um. Mwana. What's going on?"
[2015-07-08 15:30:25] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless looks at Get_Lost in confusion.  "Canterlot?"
[2015-07-08 15:31:47] * Get_Lost "as in... capital of equestria? they destroyed it completely? during the civil war, you know? they still have A LOT of guns and aren't really friendly?"
[2015-07-08 15:32:13] * Get_Lost "also, they sit exactly on the road from here to equestria..."
[2015-07-08 15:33:09] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana whispers back to Golden_Dream, "My Captain is arguing that we all break apart.  Those who want to head back to The Silos can send word of our victory.  For those who wish to scour the area for valuable wreckage... what is the pony saying?  Finders keepers."
[2015-07-08 15:34:24] * Golden_Dream raises her eyebrows. "Good luck with that. I'd avoid th' area fer' now, though."
[2015-07-08 15:35:32] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana adds, "Most of the ships want to either race back for the best repair docks, or get to salvage-hunting, hoping to find anything valuable before the others.  Nobody believes that there is just /nothing/ left."
[2015-07-08 15:36:41] * Golden_Dream sighs. "Well, tell 'em to bring rad suits. Dumb fucks were basically runnin' an unshielded megaspell t' keep th' damn thing running."
[2015-07-08 15:36:54] * Mitzi nods when Golden_Dream tells them to stay away. "Lots uv radeetion-" She is cut off by Golden_Dream voicing her thoughts
[2015-07-08 15:37:32] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana notes, "But some of the captains are arguing that we need to stick together.  Vespertillo is claiming there may be a counter-attack, but no zebra is really buying that.  They just don't trust the /Cutlass/."
[2015-07-08 15:39:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless seems surprisingly unaware of things Equestrian, including the pegasi.  Which seems odd for someone who was serving aboard a supership that was designed to counter Equestria's pegasi forces.
[2015-07-08 15:39:08] * Golden_Dream half-lids her eyes. She couldn't believe this shit. "So, wait.
[2015-07-08 15:40:18] <Golden_Dream> You're tellin' me that we went up against a galdurned flagship, blew it up inward, saved th' Silos, and their reactions ain't 'good work' or 'that's real nifty', it's 'where's th' loot'?"
[2015-07-08 15:40:32] * Get_Lost starts telling them about pegasi, and does it on the way of somepony that thinks that her parents died because of the ennclave. so, big, invincible bullies, not friends, shooty and leader of the orphan making industry
[2015-07-08 15:43:06] * Get_Lost also, they refused to let her improve their base into a mobile fortress of subjugation
[2015-07-08 15:43:08] * Bookwright "Remember the applellation first applied? These zebras are pirates Golden Dream. Pirates are primarily interested in booty, loot, spoil, swag, plunder etcetera. And besides, if we didn't already know it was all gone, we'd be out there searching for good stuff ourselves. Don't tell yourself you wouldn't be."
[2015-07-08 15:43:27] * Get_Lost "i mean, really!? they refused steam powered crab legs!"
[2015-07-08 15:47:51] * Golden_Dream rolls her eyes. "Well, of fuckin' course, but th' point of th' matter is that we got our two airships. One, really. And if we could get at it, we'd be flyin' a lot fancier than what we got."
[2015-07-08 15:54:21] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks at Golden_Dream appraisingly.  Then whispers, "Pirates!"
[2015-07-08 15:56:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana chuckles.  "If you're looking for loving embrace and celebrations of your captain's awesomeness, go back to The Silos.  The citizens probably love ponies right now, and I'm sure the Council will want to reward you."
[2015-07-08 15:56:59] * Golden_Dream sighs. "Right. I forgot that if we was smart, we wouldn't be throwin' ourselves against folk five times our size. Probably think we're stupid as hell fer' even tryin' it in the first place."
[2015-07-08 15:57:49] <Mare-Do-Well> 3All the stripeless seem interested in Get_Lost's tales of the pegasi.  The engineer is the least so, clearly wanting to get back to talking about what has now evolved into a quest for single-zebra long-range, hovercycles.
[2015-07-08 15:59:13] * Get_Lost actually, is more interested in hovercycles too... so, goes back to the blueprints "okay, forst thing, we need a name for the project! akira is best name for awesome fast moving bike"
[2015-07-08 16:01:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The other stripeless shoot the engineer nasty looks.  They wanted to hear more about the Equestrian big bads.
[2015-07-08 16:01:22] * CopyCat 's outward expression doesn't change but her mental voice is clearly excited by what Golden_Dream had just heard. [Celebrations? Loving embraces?! Noble_Heart's (and, by proxy, my) awesomeness?!? Let's go back to the Silos!]
[2015-07-08 16:04:18] * Shatara watches the scene a bit, before digging through his pack...and producing a bunch of cool miniature enclave sky battleships!
[2015-07-08 16:04:44] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The argument seems to briefly escalate, before collasping under its own weight as several of the captains turn from the table and begin to leave.
[2015-07-08 16:06:10] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Captain of the /Cutlass/ breaks away and trots up, whispering into Mwana's ear while glancing pointedly at the ponies.  Her eyes flick to the hellhound for a moment then she turns and nods formally to "Noble Heart".
[2015-07-08 16:06:27] * Get_Lost "guys, look, if you want to know more about the pegasi, just ask shatara, ok?" points at the griffon
[2015-07-08 16:07:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana turns to the others,  "And that's that, it seems.  Back to the /Cutlass/."  He turns to CopyCat.  "Would you and your crew please join us?"
[2015-07-08 16:08:18] * CopyCat returns the Captain's nod and leaves the table to join Mitzi, Bookwright, and Golden_Dream just behind her. She looks at her friends and then at Mwana. "We think that would be best."
[2015-07-08 16:08:21] * Mitzi looks down at Mwana, "Why we go tu yur boat?"
[2015-07-08 16:09:33] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana glances about.  Then whispers, "Not here.  Too many ears."
[2015-07-08 16:09:40] * Bookwright has a few misgivings about continuing to play pretend, but goes along anyways.
[2015-07-08 16:10:34] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Sure enough, several of the zebras on board, even some of the captains that are supposedly leaving, seem to linger about the group with eyes or ears angled in their direction.
[2015-07-08 16:11:23] * Mitzi growls at them
[2015-07-08 16:12:14] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Most of the spying zebras quickly turn away.
[2015-07-08 16:12:49] * Mitzi smirks and turns to join her friends in leaving
[2015-07-08 16:19:47] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Back on the /Eclipsis/, Get_Lost soon finds the stripeless engineer moving beyond the theoretical.  She's flipped over papers and started sketching out rough ideas that could, with help, eventually become schematics.
[2015-07-08 16:21:28] * Get_Lost helps as much as she can
[2015-07-08 16:22:03] * Golden_Dream joins Mwana and gives him a little nuzzle on the side of his head. "I missed you." She was tired. She was tired for weeks.
[2015-07-08 16:23:55] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana nuzzles back.  "For the record, you can be my hero."  He chuckles, "Pirate."
[2015-07-08 16:24:21] <Mare-Do-Well> 6...
[2015-07-08 16:25:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The two have to wait at least an hour, but inevitably they come.  Noble_Heart can hear voices in the twisty maze of the Catacombs, drawing closer.
[2015-07-08 16:25:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Noble_Heart makes a motion for Ditzy to be quiet... Briefly, before realizing whom she was motioning towards then briefly face-hoofing before moving towards the edge of the passage slightly and listening to the voices. She was no good at being stealthy, but she wanted to at least ascertain who it was that was after them before she made an action.
[2015-07-08 16:26:25] <Mare-Do-Well> 6From the voices, there are at least two, at most four.  They speak in zebra, their somewhat hushed voices traveling all to well in the sepulcher silence.
[2015-07-08 16:30:58] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Ditzy Doo writes "claustritumus" in the dirt before shutting off the feeble light of the Element-PipBuck.
[2015-07-08 16:31:15] * Noble_Heart does her best to keep low and towards the edge of the tunnel. Not that she thought she'd go unnoticed, but she had hope to at least get eyes on her probable enemies before they spotted her. They would likely be looking for a zebra, or possibly some other monster in the darkness, not an Alicorn.
[2015-07-08 16:45:39] * Shatara sets up the cool little models, forming the tanks in a screening formation around the raptor, with the little power-armored pegasuses scattered throughout.
[2015-07-08 16:47:52] <Mare-Do-Well> 6A growing light, shifting and unstable, illuminates one of the passages, casting the wall in stripes of inlaid white bone and black shadow.
[2015-07-08 16:51:36] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The light and the voices are approaching a bend in the catacombs.  Once they round it, they will be visible to Noble_Heart and Ditzy Doo... and vise versa lest they hide.  But there is little place to hide other than down another passage.  Or possibly in the coffin-like cut-outs in the walls, most of which contain only fragments of bone and dust.

[2015-07-08 16:53:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The ghost of Mare-Do-Well rises up from the floor next to Shatara.  In a whispering wind, she says, "Hey, the prisoner is waking up."
[2015-07-08 16:54:43] * Shatara eeps and looks up, quickly collecting his to-err, COLLECTABLES, drawing his shotgun and fitting the cattle prod as a bayonet.
[2015-07-08 17:06:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The four approaching claustritumus are all wearing lantern helmets.  After the darkness, looking directly at them as they come around the corner is dazzling, nearly blinding.  The two in the lead spot the shape of an inadequately-hidden Noble_Heart, and shout, raising magical energy spears in their tails as they plant shields in front of them.
[2015-07-08 17:07:24] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The two behind unsling magical energy rifles of an unfamiliar design, taking a moment to find their target.
[2015-07-08 17:08:18] * Noble_Heart blinks and squints at the sudden light. This was not quite what she expected. Patrols in the catacombs? Were the zebras really that paranoid about necromancers? She gripped her lamp-post sword in her teeth, this was not likely to end well for at least some of the participants. None the less she would at least try. "Halt! We do not wish to fight you!"
[2015-07-08 17:13:10] * Shatara checks and preps his weapon. "So uh...what do y'all think of your necro-friend here...?"
[2015-07-08 17:22:25] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One of the translators responds to Shatara.  "The ship's medic?  Roam trusted the Leviathan's spirit to reform her, like it did with so many other hopeless souls.  But a necromancer is always a necromancer.  Her soul is not entirely hers.  Why should Roam take such a risk, put her in a position second only to the Admiral?"
[2015-07-08 17:22:53] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The other translator adds, "I remember once, long ago, when such a decision would make me question the wisdom of Roam."
[2015-07-08 17:26:42] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Two of the zebras call back to Noble_Heart in a jumble of zebra tongue.  Then one quiets herself while the other speaks.  As he addresses her, Noble_Heart realizes this is not the zebra language that she has been hearing, not the creole language of pirates and The Silos.  Rather, the zebra speaks in the true Imperial language of Roam.
[2015-07-08 17:27:18] * Shatara nods, singing softly to himself. "One of these things, is not like the others~..."
[2015-07-08 17:29:07] * Noble_Heart blinks in some surprise and frowns. She had thought that they were under Roam based on what the Spirit of Secrets had told them, and that definitely seemed to confirm it. Despite not being able to understand their language, she had a reasonable idea as to what they were likely demanding as she tossed her weapon to the ground. She was drained, and injured, and even their
[2015-07-08 17:29:08] * Noble_Heart drone had been a danger. Plus she was not typically the one carrying the healing supplies. So now was not truly the time to be fighting.
[2015-07-08 17:29:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The first stripeless translator adds, "If a zebra were to be so unpatriotic as to question Roam, that zebra might even ask why the Cult of LIV still exists if Roam has captured and converted one of its foul lot."
[2015-07-08 17:30:39] * Shatara tilts his head. "Cult of LIV?"
[2015-07-08 17:33:31] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"The cultores-stella who control Vault LIV," one of them supplies.  The other stripeless, while not understanding the conversation, do turn to pay attention at the use of that word.
[2015-07-08 17:40:37] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The four claustritumus wait, the two with rifles taking aim at Noble_Heart.  The one repeats what he just said.
[2015-07-08 17:42:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The second translator turns to the first and says (in zebra) what Parlay translates as, "Then that zebra would be stupid as well as wicked.  You know why."
[2015-07-08 17:43:31] * Noble_Heart frowned more. "We are Noble Heart. Take Us to your leader!" Like that was going to work. Surrender was apparently not what they were asking for.
