  1. MEGA MAN 3 NO DAMAGE
  2.
  3. This is my seventh challenge of the Classic Mega Man series to beat each game damageless & deathless. Mega Man 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 & 9 have been completed without taking damage. Check out YT playlist of past successful runs on YT (Pastebin blocks links, it's https :// youtube . com / cleartonic)
  4.
  5. RULES:
  6. - No damage of any kind
  7. - No deaths
  8. - Single segment, no longer than 15 minutes of break
  9. - No content skips or major glitches. No zips. MM3 has some techniques like using Rush Jet bullets to perform other weapons' damage types, which is banned. Skipping bosses like 2x Big Snakey in Snake Man stage is fine.
  10. - Minimal pausing allowed, mostly to switch to Rush Coil/Jet. Pausing for some movement or dodging techniques, such as in Doc Bubble Man's fight, is allowed.
  11.
  12. ROUTE:
  13. Mega Man 3 allows a lot of flexibility for its routing, due to Robot Masters having primary & secondary weaknesses. Gemini Man first to make the Needle Man fight much more consistent. Needle Man gives Rush Jet, which lets the player fight Shadow Man to get his fight out of the way, and his weapon. Snake Man is fourth for being a somewhat finicky stage, then no major preference for order afterwards. Magnet Man must be before Hard Man, otherwise any order is fine.
  14.
  15. None of the stages in this game are particularly difficult, except for maybe both Gemini stages, but those will get better with practice too.
  16.
  17. Gemini Man: He will fire his laser during Phase 2 at a random time, which might cause some resets
  18. Needle Man: His fight is kind of annoying with some of his patterns
  19. Shadow Man: He must be fought with Rush Jet, but is pretty manageable with it
  20. Snake Man: One of the harder actual stages, but not bad in the grand scheme of things. Snake Man has a very tactile/technical fight but it's fun
  21. Spark Man: Rush Jet massively benefits 1 out of his 4 opening patterns (the 3 jump), otherwise fine
  22. Magnet Man: EZ stage EZ boss EZ game
  23. Hard Man: Boss fight is a little tricky and will definitely cause some resets
  24. Top Man: OK, must play patient in the stage, especially the first screen
  25.
  26. Doc Needle: Doc Air fight is extremely technical, but it is manageable. This one will get better over time consistently. Doc Crash has a specific setup for the start but still has some variance near the end, but overall OK
  27. Doc Gemini: First screen will be tough on good pace to not blow up. Doc Flash is another technical fight with a lot of Rush Jet, but this too will slowly get more clean over time. Doc Bubble is one of the easier Doc fights, but not totally free either
  28. Doc Shadow: Must be patient in this stage. Doc Wood comes down to some gut check jumps over his leaf attacks. There is an avenue to play the fight way safer and slower, but TBD. Doc Heat is trivialized by his attack pattern being somewhat broken when he's on the screen edge.
  29. Doc Spark: Doc Magnet is a pretty easy fight - he will attack on his own in set intervals, so the fight can be played safe and smart. Doc Quick is by far the hardest part of the challenge and its not even close. Insane movement patterns and the three boomerangs he throws are so fast with huge hitboxes. I put this stage last, because the pressure of doing the other 3 Doc Robot stages after this on a potential final run would be way too much
  30.
  31. Wily 1: Pretty simple stage, another big patient stage. Kamegoro Maker is not a problem
  32. Wily 2: Yellow Devil is the real patience test. He is easier in this game than MM1 easily, but nerves will make it hard on the run
  33. Wily 3: Without use of the Rush Jet weapon trick, the fight is hard & fast, and you either do it right or blow it all up. Muscle memory kind of fight
  34. Wily 4: Starts with some Junk Golems, must be very careful. Refights are most scary with Gemini, Hard and Shadow.
  35. Wily 5: EZ
  36. Wily 6: EZ. This is the first game where the actual end of the game is significantly easier than the rest. Wily 4 is kinda the actual final boss
