(6:44:05 PM) Earthflame: Khaira stretches outside the Temple of Corellon. She'd done some nice things today! Talking to the Gods, helping some people, maybe making Uytana a friend! But... She pauses, glancing at the temple to Lolth... Making her way over and peeking inside.
(6:45:21 PM) Ikiryo: It's dark inside, the purple flames along the sides somehow providing no light.
(6:45:30 PM) Earthflame: "...Oooooh."
(6:48:00 PM) Ikiryo: From the darkness emerges a figure. Long violet hair flowing down over her pale and curvy body, somehow keeping her decent. She's very pale for a dryad but unmistakably one.
(6:48:21 PM) Earthflame: "....Ooooh! How do you make your hair do that?"
(6:49:29 PM) Ikiryo: "Long practice~" Her voice, little more than a whisper, somehow echoes through the room.
(6:50:12 PM) Earthflame: "It's super cool! And the entrance and stuff! Do you just hang around in the back, slightly out of view, so you can emerge from the shadows like that?"
(6:51:52 PM) Ikiryo: "I'm Amanita...and I would not reveal secrets like that~"
(6:53:10 PM) Earthflame: "Hi Amanita! I'm Khaira!" She approaches, extending a hand.
(6:55:13 PM) Ikiryo: The other dryad takes it, her nails nearly as long as Khaira's fingers.
(6:57:02 PM) Earthflame: "...Ooooh." Khaira peers at them. "...How do you do anything with those?"
(6:58:17 PM) Ikiryo: "Experiance~" She smiles. "So, what brings you to my larder?~"
(6:59:09 PM) Earthflame: Khaira giggles at that. "I was curious! The other three temples were the ones I expected, but I never saw much of Lolth on Summerholme."
(7:00:54 PM) Ikiryo: "Sadly many on summerholme have a poor idea of what my goddess offers...and how special to her the Dryads are~"
(7:03:14 PM) Earthflame: Khaira cocks her head, curious. "Ohh? I only know a little about her, myself... Her temple isn't far from the temple of my lady on Sigil- Ah, the Raven Queen."
(7:04:40 PM) Ikiryo: "Ah, a lovely goddess. So few have such a wonderful taste in fashion~" She smiles.
(7:06:20 PM) Earthflame: Khaira giggles. "Both temples get mistaken for goth clubs... Although the Lolth temple seems to like letting the cute girls in to dance there anyway. The Priests and Angels of the Raven Queen keep breaking broomhandles on them."
(7:09:28 PM) Ikiryo: "Some of them are a little stuffy, yes~" She nods
(7:10:51 PM) Earthflame: "So, Lolth likes Dryads? I didn't know that!"
(7:12:56 PM) Ikiryo: "Of course~" She traces a hand down Khaira's cheek. "You are a perfect representation of her ideals~"
(7:14:20 PM) Earthflame: Khaira giggles at that, the strange feeling of those ridiculously long nails. "Ohh! That's nice~"
(7:16:17 PM) Ikiryo: "Feminine strength and beauty, soft and hard at once~"
(7:17:03 PM) Earthflame: "I suppose we are pretty awesome~" She pauses... Smiling more. "...I sometimes worry I'm not a proper dryad, but people keep telling me I am! It's super nice."
(7:18:32 PM) Ikiryo: "How many other races can say they are as resiliant or as versitile as the dryads...without ever needing men to reproduce?"
(7:21:19 PM) Earthflame: "I suppose it's true... We have beautiful Maidens and kind Mothers and powerful Matriarchs, we can take the best of all other races into ourselves to make us better..." Khaira pauses. "...I mean, men aren't All bad. I think. Although I never knew my father... And most of the guys I know are assholes... Except Eden, but I don't think he counts."
(7:22:27 PM) Ikiryo: "...and even then, those few good guys...Dryads can give them the ability to become wonderful women~"
(7:22:52 PM) Earthflame: Khaira giggles at that. "I don't think Eden needs it~" She brings up one of his modelling shots Reise showed her.
(7:23:18 PM) Ikiryo: The dryad blushes slightly. "E-Everything can be improved." She sounds a little unsure though.
(7:24:18 PM) Earthflame: "I know, right? He's *super* cute." Khaira giggles more. "But I think I get what you're saying... Although it kinda doesn't work all the way along."
(7:25:17 PM) Ikiryo: "Oh, yes?"
(7:26:57 PM) Earthflame: "Dryads get stronger as a species because the other races all have their own strengths. They grow and learn and become people worth taking a Seed from, to create a strong daughter... But it's that they're different which makes them special. It's why we wander, to seek out and find them... Even if basically everyone I'd want to take a seed from is a girl... Hmm..." Khaira looks thoughtful.
(7:28:05 PM) Ikiryo: "There are few qualities that men can provide that women cannot provide better...courage, spirit, heart~"
(7:30:53 PM) Earthflame: Khaira crosses her arms, thinking. "...Is that really to do with being men or women, though? I mean, it's different for Dryds..."
(7:31:42 PM) Ikiryo: "Well, what qualities in your male friends can you not find in your female?~"
(7:32:14 PM) Earthflame: "...Well, none of them have gotten mind controlled as much as Annandra."
(7:32:52 PM) Ikiryo: "Which qualities you would want in a child~" She chuckles.
(7:33:58 PM) Earthflame: "'Not getting mind controlled' is a decent quality..." She does giggle though, nodding. "It's an interesting idea... Do you get many people coming to this temple?" She glances around.
(7:39:05 PM) Ikiryo: "A few...but we are still growing~" It's hard to see anything at all. Pure blackness, broken up by the purple lights that show themselves but nothing else.
(7:39:28 PM) Earthflame: "...It's pretty, but isn't this place really impractical?"
(7:42:10 PM) Ikiryo: "Not remotely, to those who worship the lady of spiders~"
(7:44:28 PM) Earthflame: "I don't know... I still feel like a bit more light would help... Then again, they always insist Raven Queen temples are dimly lit too."
(7:45:24 PM) Ikiryo: "It is comforting darkness~"
(7:45:57 PM) Earthflame: "Dryads aren't mushrooms." Khaira pouts.
(7:46:54 PM) Ikiryo: "Well, not all~" She bows.
(7:47:35 PM) Earthflame: "...Ooooh. You're a non-photosynthesising subspecies?"
(7:50:13 PM) Ikiryo: She nods and smiles. "I am, yes~"
(7:50:25 PM) Earthflame: "I've never met one before! That's so cool!"
(7:52:40 PM) Ikiryo: She twirls, somehow still managing to avoid showing anything. "Thank you~"
(7:54:06 PM) Earthflame: "I learned about a few different subspecies, like the underwater Dryads you get on some ocean worlds... Fungal Dryads are from deep caves and nightworlds, right?" Khaira pauses. "...And I Have to know how you can do that with your hair! I mean, I can do it, but I cheat."
(7:55:22 PM) Ikiryo: "That.Is.A.Secret~" She smiles.
(7:55:47 PM) Earthflame: "I wanna know!" Khaira pouts.
(7:57:17 PM) Ikiryo: "Then perhaps we could have tea and talk about such things?~"
(7:59:07 PM) Earthflame: "Sure! That sounds fun!" Khaira smiles. "I've not had much to do with other Grey Council people... Kinda busy fighting the dead and stuff. But it would be nice to!"
(7:59:49 PM) Ikiryo: "Lovely~" She turns to lead Khaira into Darkness, a hand outstretched.
(8:01:56 PM) Earthflame: Khaira takes it, following... Trusting the woman (and her ability to float) to not cause her to fall over.
