- In TRI you can dupe red statues by pressing Quick Save once and then mashing Quick Load. It's very inconsistent but using a script to mash at very high rates seemed to make it more consistent and some people have claimed that capping framerate plus mashing at a certain speed makes it consistent. I'm going to test different mashing speeds with different framerates to see how consistent various combinations are.
- The mashing is done via and AutoHotKey script. The script I'm using can be found here: https://pastebin.com/d5hfWe6s It uses 1 as the key to hold to mash and has Quick Load bound to P. The number at the end of the second line is the one to change to alter how fast it mashes. (1=press Quick Load every 0.001 seconds, 10=press Quick Load every 0.010 seconds, etc)
- The resulting number in the table is how many times out of 20 that number of presses per second successfully duped at the indicated framerate. A higher number of samples per combination would make for more conclusive results but I'm lazy and don't want to be here all day. If other people want to test it this is easy to do, it just takes time.
- 30, 60, and uncapped are the only framerates possible without the use of external programs so those are the only ones I tested. For reference my framerate when uncapped is ~180.
- Steps:
- 1) Get one statue in a level and hard save.
- 2) Set framerate & script mash rate.
- 3) Test 20 times. (Hold mash key for ~1 second)
- 4) Load hard save, change framerate and script mash rate.
- 5) Repeat
