- Welcome to our Division Training Program. The intention of these Modules is to offer you some progressive instruction in the basics of Red Orchestra. This Training is broken into [ 4 ] Blocks that will be taught over progressive weeks. This is Block 1. Hopefully the knowledge that we impart will aid you in finding greater success within the game, and to help bring the 116th to victory in Clan battles.
- We are going to assume that no one here has any knowledge about this game. If you are already an experienced player please do not feel insulted by this, it is merely so that these Training sessions may stay quick and streamlined. The primary purpose of these Training Blocks are to get 116th members on the same page, and working towards a solid unit cohesion. Please remain patient with us, as there may be opportunities to give some of your own formidable expertise to some of the less knowledgeable players.

- - Bounding
- sprinting from one position of cover to the next, pausing briefly to catch your breath, then sprinting to the next, as you move your way to an objective
- - Bounding overwatch
- a group of soldiers bounds one or two at a time, while the others give covering fire. each takes a turn so that the entire unit can move up as a whole.
- ][ Situational Awareness
- - Keeping track of friendlies
- difficult to do in the chaos of the battlefield, but vital, and you will get better at it over time.
- - Calling out enemies
- use cardinal directions when possible. alternatively you can use descriptive directions based on your units Schwerepunkt, not yourself, i.e. "left" would be used when facing the direction of your units movement, or objective, which will not change even if you are facing "left"
- - GRENADES!
- keep an eye out for them, see where they land, get behind cover. if you have time try to throw one back in the direction it came from. be prepared for enemy to charge you immediately after it goes off.

- ][ Maneuvering
- - Obstacles
- this is not World of Tanks, you can not break down anything: fences, trees, or houses. it is an annoying game engine limitation, so just avoid them.
- this is not World of Tanks, you will NOT be stopped dead by driving too close to hills, buildings, etc, so don't drive off a cliff
- - Foliage
- you can not drive through forests, but you can drive through the grass and brush surrounding them, and this will give you some small amount of camouflage effect from it, though it is nothing like World of Tanks invisibility system.
- ][ Crew coordination
- - Hull down
- with terrain to your advantage driver should NEVER be able to see what gunner is shooting at. this presents strongest part of tank to enemy fire
- - Spotting targets
- it is encouraged for the tank to remain in cover while one of the crew scouts ahead with binoculars. when circumstances permit the commander is encouraged to poke his head out of the turret, even if only for a moment, to get a better situational awareness view of the field
- - Calling targets
- use the "clock" indicator on your HUD to call targets to each other within the tank. to call targets to other tanks use cardinal directions or a clock scale based on their tank
