Solo Lufia Relay

Exactly a year ago I did a solo Lufia relay, being a relay of all the mainline Lufia games (not counting remakes) back to back in 1 sitting. Back then to celebrate hitting both 1500 follows as well as 2 years of streaming. Now, a year later, I will once more try to complete it. I've been saying for a while that I wanted to do this again. Well, the time has arrived for me to actually hold up to my promise and do this relay. At the turn of the new year, on January 1st, I will be kicking off the new year with this. My first completed run of this took me just over 24 hours (24:07:08), and though I highly doubt I can beat it, I will give it a shot either way.

Now, in order to do this I had to pick my categories and they will be as follows:
Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals - Any% Retry mode glitchless (US)
Lufia IV: the Ruins of Lore      - Any%
Lufia I: the Fortress of Doom    - Any% Retry mode (J)
Lufia III: the Legend Returns    - Any% Retry mode

They will be played in above mentioned order due to this being the chronological order of the series. Not going to be played is Lufia: CotS due to it technically being a remake (though I consider including this in a later version of such a relay). Adding that would mean I would have to learn another game still and after having tried it casually Im not inclined to learn it anytime soon.

Lufia 2 was a big game for me as a child and now expending on that by doing all the Lufia's in a row feels like a great oppertunity. Even for what I do as a speedrunner Lufia 2 ment a lot to me. It was the first game that got me to look outside of the pokemon community and as a result experience running all the games I ran. Back in the days I set out to one day learn all the games in honor of that amazing game and in honor of the beautiful series that it is. This is going to be that moment for me to honor all this serie has meant to me. This will probably not be the last time for me to do this relay and I do intend to one day include CotS to the mix. For now though I feel like being able to actually do this relay is the goal I was hoping to one day be able to do and that means a lot.
