  1. [14:29] Joshua Blood around the area
  2. (Joshua)
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4.
  5. [14:30] Joshua whispers something.
  6. [14:30] Joshua picks her up
  7. (Joshua)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [14:30] Elias Tanne whispers something.
  11. [14:31] Elias Tanne whispers something.
  12. [14:31] Elias Tanne whispers something.
  13. [14:33] Sylvia walks in, looking to find Elias to ask a question. Her thoughts quickly shift however, seeing the state the building is in. She goes to stand in a corner, hoping to not draw attention, and tries to figure out exactly what happened here.
  14. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [14:35] Joshua would begin to use his blood magic to stitch in some of the areas that was separated. It wouldn't cure her. But it would help. She was the town healer but right now she was a broken woman.
  18.
  19. "Kraus pray for us." He would take her to the fire. But he would also keep working. His eyes darting to split parts in her body.
  20.
  21. "The ice is going to need melting. But even when it does dissolve your going to need surgery tools to seal this wound fully."
  22.
  23. He would collect all she asked. As he produced water himself.
  24.
  25. "Him attacking you in this church will not go unresolved. He needs to repent for the sin he has commited."
  26.
  27. Joshua showed no sighs of anger or revenge. "This bad..." Having jugs of water set and the fire nearby.
  28. (Joshua)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [14:36] Elias Tanne says, " Surgery? Mm. We don't have a surgeon. "
  32. [14:40] Elias calmly disrobes. She's not precisely attached to her body, looking at everything with sedated, curious eyes.
  33.
  34. "Mm. Warm with water," she says slowly, stupidly. Her chest is still bright with her own healing magic, which she's become unpleasantly used to using on amputees and critical patients. She cuts a strip of cloth from her shirt with one of her knives and wets it, applying the tepid water to her blue-black flesh.
  35.
  36. "Gonna have nerve damage. Maybe numb. Dunno."
  37.
  38. She seems rather nonplussed, and it should be clear to any experienced observer that she's slipping into shock.
  39. (Elias Tanne)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [14:44] While she doesn't know what caused the scene she can tell something serious happened. The woman she'd come to seek out was seriously injured. At least it seemed like whoever caused the injury had ran off, but this was still clearly a serious situation.
  43.
  44. Deciding there was no danger in this situation for her she walks toward Elias and the man she'd never seen before and speaks.
  45.
  46. "Um. Hello. Is there any way I can help?"
  47. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [14:45] Elias Tanne says, " Oh, young lady."
  51. [14:45] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm."
  52. [14:45] Elias Tanne asks, " ...You an angel?"
  53. [14:45] Elias Tanne says, " You've got the wing."
  54. [14:46] Sylvia Goldstein says, "No ma'am. I'm just a performer."
  55. [14:46] Elias Tanne says, " Ahh, damn shame. Hoped I'd see angels."
  56. [14:46] Joshua would get a cloth. As he was about to ask her the heat of the water he would look. The woman had...disrobed. He would blink and simply go to work. Joshua could pray later to Kraus to verge his mind of seeing this happen in a church!
  57.
  58. "Yes this is going to be something that will linger most likely forever. But its also something that cant be helped." He would take the cloth and begin to work on her.
  59.
  60. Joshua would see that she was slowly falling into shock. He would give her nerves a tug to not allow it with his magic.
  61.
  62. "Not yet! I'm not gonna let you go out like this."
  63.
  64. He would look to the girl. "Yes help!" He would say to the girl as he used his magic to keep fixing the areas that were damaged.
  65.
  66. "I have mythril on me but not the orc and need five more mythril. A blacksmith and a scriber." He would look and curse.
  67.
  68. "Your not dying yet!"
  69. (Joshua)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [14:47] Elias Tanne says, " ....S'damn cold."
  73. [14:47] Elias Tanne says, " 'Course I'm not dying."
  74. [14:47] Elias Tanne says, " Silly."
  75. [14:47] Elias Tanne says, " I gotta die after Laphi. Rub it in his face."
  76. [14:48] Joshua Continues using his magic to fix whatever he could
  77. (Joshua)
  78. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79.
  80. [14:48] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm, long as I've got my magic circuit, s'all good."
  81. [14:48] Sylvia Goldstein says, "II'm sure you will some day. Sir, how can I help? Tell me whst to do and I'll do it."
  82. [14:50] Joshua Removes hood
  83. (Joshua)
  84. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  85.
  86. [14:50] Elias' magic is operating of its own accord, kicking into overdrive to mend her bitten flesh.
  87.
  88. Unfortunately, Elias' magic is operating on its own accord. The lingering traces of ice magic, the wounds they'd left, and the healing magic all seem to congregate over her heart. Instead of a multitude of small wounds, she now had one rather large one.
  89. (Elias Tanne)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [14:50] Elias Tanne says, " mmm. Can work with that."
  93. [14:54] Joshua would look to the girl.
  94.
  95. "If you know anyone with the things I just requested please find them. A blacksmith or a scriber." He would say shaking his head. She had her magic and he had his. The two working.
  96.
  97. "Ahh heavens sake."
  98.
  99. He would worry.
  100.
  101. "What type of magic do you have?" He ask the young girl.
  102. (Joshua)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [14:54] Elias Tanne says, " Don't need smith."
  106. [14:54] Elias Tanne says, " Have spares. My house."
  107. [14:55] Elias Tanne says, " Mm, think harder part is replacing the heart."
  108. [14:55] Elias Tanne says, " Sort of need that."
  109. [14:56] Sylvia looked very alarmed as all of this was going down. She kept turning to look between the two people as each of them talked.
  110.
  111. "Fire, water, and steam."
  112. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [14:58] Elias Tanne asks, " ...Kraus's wisdom, though, y'know who'd be good at this?"
  116. [14:58] Elias Tanne says, " Bloody necromancer."
  117. [14:59] Elias Tanne says, " "yeah can you keep me alive while you swap out my heart like bread in the oven" "sure thing mate that'll be thirty crowns""
  118. [15:00] Joshua would sigh.
  119.
  120. "We could use something as maybe a heart supporter. I believe it should be possible to keepyour heart going and also mend your body over the time." He would hope that it was possible.
  121.
  122. He look at her.
  123.
  124. "Please...not the time for jokes."
  125. (Joshua)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [15:04] Elias laughs at her own joke, a snorting kind of joking laugh. "Pal, 'm a Krausite. It's never time for jokes, so why bother keepin' track?"
  129.
  130. All the while, her magic struggles against her wounds. It seems to be working! It leaves a nasty, gnarled scar of blackened flesh over her chest, something that looks like it would be absolutely miserable to touch. "Mmm, ain't hard to guess what Kraus' saying here. Big tender heart and all that. Ain't even subtle."
  131. (Elias Tanne)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [15:08] Joshua would shake his head. This woman was a headache. Though he still cared for her well being. "After you get better we are going to have a long talk."
  135.
  136. He would then look at the wound.
  137.
  138. "When shall we go get the supplies?" He look to the younger girl. "You can help keep the wound calm with the water maybe. Though steam could help relax the muscles."
  139.
  140. He knew they must be tense right now.
  141.
  142. "So much to clean up."
  143. (Joshua)
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [15:09] Elias Tanne says, " It's fine, child. I'll live."
  147. [15:09] Elias Tanne says, " Feel I've just let that kid prove his damn point all over my bleeding heart."
  148. [15:10] Joshua says, "You do not need to worry about that right now"
  149. [15:10] Joshua says, "Rest and "
  150. [15:11] Elias Tanne says, " Rather damn think it is."
  151. [15:11] Joshua says, "We talk to the others about this"
  152. [15:11] Joshua says, "He is dangerous"
  153. [15:11] Elias Tanne says, " He's hurt."
  154. [15:11] Elias Tanne says, " He needs some damn sense knocked into him."
  155. [15:11] Sylvia nodded and walked forward to be next to the woman.
  156.
  157. "I think it's a good idea to help keep the wound calm. I... That should make it hurt less, right?"
  158.
  159. She asks this, looking between the two of them.
  160.
  161. "And I'd be happy to help make the muscles hurt less. I think I once read that making the muscles relax after an injury helps them heal better."
  162. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  163. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  164.
  165. [15:11] Joshua says, "He could have killed you as well."
  166. [15:12] Elias Tanne says, " Frankly, he needs a mother."
  167. [15:12] Joshua says, "The way things ended between you two i believe its not going to be in that direction with you both"
  168. [15:12] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm, but he didn't. Could have. Didn't. There's mercy in him."
  169. [15:12] Elias Tanne says, " Kraus' bones, kid, I'm only twenty-three."
  170. [15:12] Elias Tanne says, " Don't want to be his mother."
  171. [15:13] Joshua says, "A child can be a parent to another child. Experience in certain matters can make you mature faster than most"
  172. [15:14] Elias Tanne says, " Aye, don't mean I'm angling for it."
  173. [15:15] Joshua pops her head
  174. (Joshua)
  175. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  176.
  177. [15:16] Joshua says, "You have alot of praying to do"
  178. [15:16] Joshua says, "Are you able to get home"
  179. [15:16] Elias Tanne says, " Ah, what praying I do and do not have to do's between me and the blessed king himself."
  180. [15:17] Joshua Looks at the mess around the church
  181. (Joshua)
  182. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  183.
  184. [15:17] Elias Tanne says, " Last I checked I was your parish deacon, not the other way around."
  185. [15:17] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm, I can't really walk on this heart. Don't want to strain magic."
  186. [15:17] Elias Tanne asks, " Sylvia, wasn't it? Want to help me get home?"
  187. [15:17] Sylvia Goldstein says, "Yes ma'am! Just tell me what way it is, and I'll help you get there."
  188. [15:18] Elias Tanne says, " Big stone house. By House Hajara."
  189. [15:19] Joshua would begin to clean up the church. He would seem to know that he had a lot of work to do. She was the deacon and he respected that. So he had nothing else more to say as he worked.
  190.
  191. Using his blood magic to clean up the blood.
  192.
  193. He would use his water to scrub the floor. Zooming around as he fixed things. Joshua knew much work was needed.
  194. (Joshua)
  195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  196.
  197. [15:19] Joshua says, "Get some rest"
  198. [15:19] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm, will do."
  199. [15:19] Sylvia Goldstein says, "I'm still not sure where that is. I haven't learned my way around yet. I do know where the La'Heba house is."
  200. [15:20] Elias Tanne says, " I'll re-concecrate the place-- House Hajara's the main building, by the square."
  201. [15:20] Sylvia Goldstein says, "Mm! let's go."
  202. [15:21] As soon as she says this, she moves to help the woman, and starts off at a reasonable pace.
  203. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  204. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  205.
  206. [15:21] Elias Tanne says, " Ahhhh fuck that hurts."
  207. [15:22] Sylvia Goldstein says, "When we get to your house, the offer to hel soothe your muscles is still open."
  208. [15:22] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm, I'll take you up on it."
  209. [15:22] Elias Tanne says, " For the novelty, if nothing else."
  210. [15:23] "I'm glad. Injuries like those... They're probably agonizing..." She frowns in concern a moment, continuing to walk.
  211.
  212. Sylvia stops in front of the house she believes is Elias' and then looks to her.
  213.
  214. "Is this the place?"
  215. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  216. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  217.
  218. [15:23] Elias Tanne says, " Had worse."
  219. [15:23] Elias Tanne says, " Twice, actually. Gets easier each time."
  220. [15:23] Elias Tanne says, " Yeah, this is my house."
  221. [15:24] Sylvia Goldstein says, "Oh! That's terrifying. I'm glad you keep surviving."
  222. [15:25] Elias Tanne says, " Ahh, they never mean to kill."
  223. [15:25] Elias Tanne says, " Actually, the eye was a flat accident. Sultan took it. Crossed blades for some dumb reason."
  224. [15:25] Elias Tanne says, " Don't cross blades with Sultan Yin."
  225. [15:27] "I'll make sure I don't," she said, starting to look around, "I'm not really much of a fighter, to be honest, so I think it would be really unwise for me to challenge anyone I didn't have to. Do we go upstairs?"
  226. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  227. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  228.
  229. [15:28] Elias Tanne says, " ...Mmmmmm."
  230. [15:29] Elias Tanne says, " I don't want to, but I should."
  231. [15:29] Elias Tanne says, " That's where the bed is."
  232. [15:29] Elias Tanne says, " Swear, after this is over I'm putting a bed on ground floor."
  233. [15:29] Sylvia Goldstein says, "I think a bed on the ground floor would be a good idea."
  234. [15:31] Elias gingerly lets herself onto the bed, wincing every time she flexes any muscle in her chest.
  235.
  236. "Every time I get my ass kicked, having to climb up stairs? Bad idea. How's your runescribing going," she asks, barely lucid enough to manage actual conversation.
  237. (Elias Tanne)
  238. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  239.
  240. [15:34] Sylvia does her best to aid her in this. Once Elias is in the bed she starts to focus her magic into her hands and into creating a mist of steam, working to adjust the intensity as she begins to talk.
  241.
  242. "Actually, that was why I went to the church. Um, I was coming to ask if you could teach me. I heard that New Sarradia is in need of runescribes and... Well I just recently decided to stay here, and I want to do something to help the community. I was already interested in rune scribing so it seemed like an obvious choice..."
  243. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  244. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  245.
  246. [15:35] Elias Tanne says, " Ah, maybe you are an angel."
  247. [15:35] Elias Tanne says, " Wish you could find a better teacher, but I'd be happy to help."
  248. [15:35] Elias Tanne says, " ...These damn prosthetics ain't installing themselves, and I can't reach well enough to do it m'self."
  249. [15:37] Sylvia Goldstein exclaims, "I promise I'll do my best to learn everything I can. I'll focus on learning how to attach prosthetics the moment I know enough to feasibly do so!"
  250. [15:37] Elias Tanne says, " Ah, focus on what sings to your heart."
  251. [15:37] Elias Tanne says, " Prosthetics are something I'm rather a fan of, though maybe that's just because of the books Setzer left."
  252. [15:38] Elias Tanne says, " ...Mm, I worry about Gray's fate, and I ain't exactly glad to have this great big scar on my chest, but I"m already awhirl with ideas for how to fix it."
  253. [15:39] Elias Tanne says, " Figure it can't be a heart replacement, without a necromancer. "
  254. [15:39] Elias Tanne asks, " So what about something mounted outside? In the ribcage or even bolted into the skin?"
  255. [15:40] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm. No, definitely mounted on the bone."
  256. [15:42] When Sylvia is content that the intensity of the steam won't make things worse she brings her hands close to Elias, starting a ways away from where the wounds were, but close enough that it made sense (to her at least) that the muscles near by would be affected.
  257.
  258. "Let me know if it starts to hurt, okay." She paused, and then, curiously, looked to Elias' face for a moment. "How do you fix a scar? I don't think I've ever heard of someone doing that.
  259. (Sylvia Goldstein)
  260. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  261.
  262. [15:45] "Ah, if it were just a scar I'd count myself lucky. It's the nerve damage under, and heartstrain from healing the damn thing. I'm not about to strain myself until the heart's fixed, and if I could walk around without being gnawed on by an angry dog all the better for it."
  263.
  264. She tenses up at the touch of the steam, but doesn't say anything. Healing is healing, after all.
  265. (Elias Tanne)
  266. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  267.
  268. [15:46] Sylvia Goldstein asks, "Do you think you'll be able to walk before your heart is fixed? Will you need help for a while?"
  269. [15:47] Elias Tanne says, " Mmm, I don't walk much. Got in the habit of flying when I lost my leg. Never really got used to it."
  270. [15:48] Elias Tanne says, " I'll be fine. I'll try not to exert myself. See if Musaki's got anything for it."
  271. [15:49] Sylvia Goldstein says, "Well, if there's a way I can help, please let me know. "
  272. [15:50] Elias Tanne says, " I'll see you soon. For now, I'm going to take some blessed rest."
  273. [15:51] Elias Tanne says, " Bring chalk, notepad, and snacks. I'll be a bit of a project."
  274. [15:52] Sylvia Goldstein says, "Alright! I'll see you soon. I hope rest comes easily."
