  1. Understanding religion
  2. 2017-09-07: My understanding has changed to the section between the lines:
  3. ---------------------------------------------------
  4. I think the problem of religion has to do with too much being provided to people.
  5. When your basic needs are being taken care of by others the only thing you worry about is feeling good in the moment.
  6. And you don't need rationality to do that, which produces degeneracy.
  7.
  8. I think similar things happen with every great civilization.
  9. With Rome the degeneracy and irrationality fed into christianity.
  10. Which is where stories like "he who's innocent throw the first stone" come from.
  11. Which basically means we don't need to change the law, we just won't enforce it when we don't feel like it.
  12. That's very much a regressive principle.
  13.
  14. Over time christians have accepted western and right-wing principles as their own.
  15. Sort of acting as a blockade to that flow of irrationality and degeneracy.
  16. At least for the christians who support those principles.
  17.
  18. Overflowing with irrationality and degeneracy, the feminist movement is becoming the next religion.
  19. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. We live in a gynocentric society in order to keep men providing for their women. To make this happen, women define morality. Structures like religion and government are produced to enforce this morality.
  22. Why is our society gynocentric?
  23. People instinctively put a high value on women.
  24.
  25. I see two ways this could happen. Through oppression or the members having a special reverence for those women. I don’t think women in our society or culture oppress anyone, instead people instinctively value women and have a reverence for women.
  26.
  27. Women have been valued over men for a long time, both bonobos and chimpanzees do so. When humans started walking upright this likely made giving birth a lot harder. Because the hips now need to be a lot more stable and capable of handling pressure in the vertical direction. So they became very inflexible, where most mammals can simply open up and let the baby out, no problem. The result of this would be that people instinctively value (and thus want to protect) women.
  28. Why does religion exist?
  29. Because of how sexual market value works, it would benefit men to leave their wife, once she’s had enough children, and start a new family. In order to keep the resources flowing; women took
  30. control of morality. Religion is the excuse for why everyone has to follow that morality.
  31.
  32. In order to keep men providing for their families, religion has these goals:
  33. Men must stay with their wife forever and are not allowed to start a new family
  34. Young women are not allowed to express their sexuality (this might seduce the man)
  35. Groupthink, a man on the hunt must not consider females of another tribe
  36. Threats like “if you dress sexy you will be raped or attract the wrong kind of man” have nothing to do with reality. They are meant to keep the young women down, so the older ones keep their man.
  37. Sexual market value
  38. Female
  39. Fertility, the chance she will get pregnant
  40. Sexual availability, the chance she will have sex with you
  41. Male (bad guy)
  42. Toughness, necessary to protect his family and compete with other men
  43. Resources, how much do he produces so she won’t have to work
  44. Generosity, how much of that will he spread to his potential wife
  45. Assertive, for competing with other men to get resources
  46. Mangina (good guy)
  47. Women (especially feminists) have rationally considered what they like in a man and came up with a different set of properties they like. Sadly their instincts still override reason, so they will end up dumping any man who doesn’t provide enough of the bad guy properties.
  48. Open about his emotions, the opposite of toughness
  49. Serves feminism, leads to men having less resources (because it destroys the economy)
  50. Respect, never make a woman feel uncomfortable, the opposite of assertiveness
  51. New family
  52. As a woman gets older her fertility goes down. With that her sexual market value. While if a man is successful his sexual market value goes up. So when the children are old enough it becomes more and more interesting for a man to leave and start a new family. He would then move his flow of resources to the new female, away from the mother of his children, which is a huge threat for her.
  53. Why should we answer this question?
  54. I think feminists have managed to defeat religion, at least in their culture. But they have now replaced religion with them becoming a religion themselves. This tells me it’s important to understand why a problem exists when you try to defeat it. Otherwise you might end up where you started. Of course the religion of feminism is very different than christianity, but I think they have the same fundamental problem.
  55. Is there a common fundamental problem with all religion?
  56. I think so. They support the method of knowing “if it feels right it’s true”. This means in order to be accepted an idea just has to feel good, whether it causes massive harm in practice, is not important. Especially when the environment changes the effects of these opinions start to change. Instead of reconsidering them, like sane people do, religious people often just hold on to them stronger.
  57.
  58. This causes ‘side effects’ like thinking that you are eating the flesh of Jesus.
  59.
  60. Feminism
  61. The driving force behind replacing religion with the government. Still to serve the same function and still includes the massive abuse of power.
  62. History
  63. Hypothesis
  64. The point of this document is to develop :hypthothesis
  65. What made us human
  66. Reproductive strategies
  67. Rapid reproduction is about trying to quickly get as much kids as possible. We still see this with monkeys and many large mammals. The males compete for female attention and the best males get the most fertile females. But as they get older, both get less and less. With monkeys older females will get younger male family members to help them.
  68.
  69. Kid focused reproduction is about investing in kids and making them as successful as possible. I think women demanding men to take care of them allowed this to emerge in pre-humans. Allowing the females the time and energy to invest more in kids, allowing us to separate from the other animals.
  70. Positions
  71. A lot of the idea’s in this document depend on positions I’ve reached in discussions. While many of those positions lack proper scientific backing. This document is about brainstorming idea’s to develop hypotheses that can be investigated by scientists. It’s important for me to be as correct as possible about reality. Having many positions that depend on each other incurs a big risk that the resulting conclusion is totally wrong. So I’m hoping this document will lead to these positions being investigated improve the correctness of my opinions.
  72. Modern feminism is a religion that replaced christianity, in the lives of many
  73. There is a fundamental reason for the existence of all religion
  74. Men select their female partners based on looks (fertility)
  75. Men control what women look like
  76. Women select their male partners based on behaviour; and the resources he can thus provide
  77. Women control the behavior of men
  78. A woman's attractiveness goes down as she get’s older, less fertile
  79. A man’s attractiveness goes up as he get’s older, more resources
  80. Beliefs are harmful
  81. Religions are harmful because they promote beliefs
  82.
  83. Definitions
  84.
  85. Matriarchy
  86. A culture where women have a relative high level of influence, or even control, over society and/or culture.

  95. About
  96. This document
  97. I hope anyone who can contribute something to understand religion will add it to this document. If you think it’s important, please back it up, anyone could also delete it.
  98. Me
  99. If many other people edit this document, this section should be deleted.
  100. I’ve never personally been harmed by religion. But I see it destroying civilization everywhere it exists. Since the attack on Charlie Hebdo I became more active in the discussion on religion. Especially because the French government arrested 50 people who had supported the attacks on social media. I thought: “Hiding opposing opinions will only make it harder to convince them they are wrong”.
  101.
  102. While discussing religion I ran into criticism of feminism, which I also agreed with. Learning more about feminism it seemed they are also a religion. I’d always thought religion existed because men wanted it. Then I realized women were perfectly capable developing a religion on their own. Even without any real male influence. It made me wonder whether all religion exists mainly because of something women want. I always considered how correct we are on reality to be very important, always asked the question why we do something.
  103.
  104. A lot of people don’t like the anonymity of the internet and won’t like that I like to stay anonymous. That’s bullshit to me. This discussion should be about the arguments, not what or who anyone presenting an argument is. In my opinion knowing people’s identities just opens them up for abuse, doxing, etc.
  105. Sources
  106. Obviously I didn’t make all of this stuff up myself. Even so this document is sorely lacking in sources. I will add later, but add any sources you find relevant.
