I suck, but dont fire Evan

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was in his room with the door closed, stalking baack and forth as he ranted and raved at Evan who was just standing there looking sheepish as fuck. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Not only did you go behind my back, you STOLE from me! There's no excuse for what you did." // Evaan sighed, scratching his hand over the baack of his neck, struggling to look Brad in the face. "I know. I know... but she asked me for a favor and I was trying to help. I thought she was going to talk to you about it and sort it out. I thought it was okay because she asked for it."-
Covet: Kelsey had just gotten out of the shower and was making her way down the hall, her eyes look slightly puffy because there was lots more arguing and fighting today, and she felt like utter shit because Connor felt so scared that he didn't feel safe around her and Bradley. She could hear him yelling and ranting, curious as to who it was, because it wasn't at her. Walking over to the door she pressed her ear against it and listened in.
Alexithymiaa: "YOU DON'T WORK FOR HER!" He screamed back at Evan, stepping a little closer to him. "You work for ME! It's MY signature on your paychecks, not hers so that's a bullshit excuse. You should have told me what was going on. You should have told me you were taking MY stuff regaardless of who it was for." // Evan took a step back from Brad, careful to keep a saafe distaance from him. "You're right. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking."-
Covet: Feeling her heart hit her stomach she felt her eyes watering up almost instantly, feeling the tears run down her cheeks as she closed her eyes and pressed her head against the door. She was hurting bad, the guilt of everything crushing her as she moved her hand to the door listening hoping he wasn't going to fire Evan, it wasn't his fault, Kelsey made it seem like no big deal.
Alexithymiaa: "You weren't thinking." He agreed, turning to stalk away toward the window and then back. "Your job literally relies on me being able to trust you with everything in my life. And now I can't." He stuck his hand out in front of him, staring Evan down. "Give me the phone back." // Evan took a deep breath, taking it all in stride because he knew he made a mistake and intended to own up to it. Sticking his hand into his pocket, he pulled out Brad's work phone, passing it over. "I understand..."-
Covet: Kelsey couldn't take it and pushed the door open, "Stop.. Bradley.. don't fire Evan. It's.. not his fault. I took advantage of the situation.. intentionally so that you didn't know." She said wiping her cheeks with her sleeves.
Alexithymiaa: -He took the phone back and shoved it into his back pocket, his eyes jumping to Kelsey when she came in. "What are you doing? Get out. This is none of your business." // Evan glanced at Kelsey, shaking his head. "Kelsey, please don't. That's not necessary. I made a mistake and I have to be responsible enough to admit that."-
Covet: "It is too my business. Because it's my fault that he did any of this." Kelsey said looking at Evan, "And that alone is comendable, but really I know we can trust you..." She stopped then looked at Brad, "That he can trust you. You only did as I asked...because I knew he wouldn't trust me." Kelsey said, then looked at Brad. "Please... Evan's been so good for you."
Alexithymiaa: "Good because I was ignorant to what was really going on behind my back. Newsflash Kels, he doesn't work for you. He worked for me. And that ship has sailed." // Evan swallowed hard, trying to make his way toward the door because this was just so uncomfortable beyond a normal firing. "I really appreciate the opportunity you gave me to work with you. Thank you." He said before ducking out of Brad's room.-
Covet: "I know, and I'm sorry... Okay... I'm sorry.. for all of it. Please don't let him go...It's my fault.. I'll do anything." Kelsey said because she couldn't honestly take Evan getting the consequence she deserved. She didn't blame Evan for wanting out, and she looked after him, wanting to reassure him that his job was safe, but he was already gone.
Alexithymiaa: (He'll be fine. Brad can't stand up without him. He's just mad right now.)
Alexithymiaa: -Brad waited until Evan walked out before directing his attention back to Kelsey. "He made his own choice to lie and steak from me. It doesn't matter if you asked him to do it. The point is that he did when he should have come to me."-
Covet: "Bradley please...you need him..." She said looking at him with her hands up by her mouth. "What would you have done if he had come to you?" Kelsey asked, " Would we still be in this position?"
Alexithymiaa: "Us? Yes. Him and I? No." He shot back, walking over to the window to pull it open because he was warm with how riled up he was. "You shouldn't have lied in the first place."-
Covet: "So it's completely my fault then." She said which she knew it was. Kelsey pushed her hair back out of her face and then just crumpled, her body giving a slight jerk as the water works really started coming down. "I know... I'm sorry..." She sobbed out and just held her head in her hands.
Alexithymiaa: -He stood with his arms crossed over his chest just watching her cry, not flinching. "Is that supposed to make me feel bad? Because you're upset you got caught doing something you shouldn't have been doing?"-
CovetCovet : All she could do was shake her head no, as she leaned over, becoming a pathetic crying ball on the floor. "I know....you're right." Was all she could get between tears. "I don't know...how to fix it. I'm sorry, for everything."
Alexithymiaa: "You tell the fucking truth, Kelsey!" He said with a raised voice, still staring at her. "Tell me how this started."-
Covet: "Okay! I will.. I will." She said sitting up trying to catch her breath. "It started when things started getting really busy for me. The week I had to go to Chicago, the night of the red eye flight you and Connor dropped me off at." She told him between broken sobbing, still unable to look him in the face.
Alexithymiaa: -He just stood there with his arms over his chest, watching her. "Why did you think that stealing coke was the answer instead of maybe like... a nap?"-
Covet: "Because I didn't have time for a nap. I didn't use it until that morning, because I was so tired from everything else that week. And It picked me right up...so I used it here and there as needed to get through homework, and everything. I didn't think... I just.. did." She wiped her eyes, not that it mattered right now.
Alexithymiaa: "And why didnt you think, after all the shit you gave me, that you should tell me what was going on?"-
Covet: "I don't know." Kelsey said, "I don't know why I did it other than it was an easy answer to a much bigger problem. I knew you wouldn't be okay with me telling you what I was doing, because I got after you so bad for it."
Alexithymiaa: "I'd have been a lot more understanding if you would have come to me a month ago." He snickered, dropping down to take a seat on the edge of his bed. "There were other solutions than using drugs as a crutch. That's not how we do things."-
Covet: Kelsey wrapped her arms around her body and nodded her head, She just felt shitty and ashamed. " I know...you're right, it was stupid. I was just being stupid."
Alexithymiaa: "Was Thursday the last time you used?" He asked her, keeping his eyes locked on her. Serious business.-
Covet: Kelsey nodded her head looking up at him being honest. "No... yesterday morning. I was trying hard Friday and Saturday, and I felt terrible that morning before we got up and going to head to my mom's for dinner." She told him her words dripping with shame.
Alexithymiaa: -He could at least appreciate that she was being honest with him, but he was pretty upset at this point. "Okay... okay. Please bring me whatever you have left."-
Covet: Reluctantly pushing off of her feet she made her way back to her dorm room and got into her top dresser drawer that she knew Connor couldn't reach. Reaching inside she got the small baggie from the other night at Steph's that was half gone, and brought it back to Brad, she wasn't intentionally taking her sweet time, but she was dragging pretty bad. All that guilty weight.
Alexithymiaa: -He waited patiently for her to return with her stash, holding out his hand to take it from her. "I don't care how terrible you feel. You're not getting this back because whether you realize it or not, it's become a problem."-
Covet: "I know." Kelsey said nodding her head, as she handed it over, her hand releasing a second laterr than it should have. "I can't believe I let it become this big of a one."
Alexithymiaa: "That's how it goes. So when I told you I used a little at parties sometimes and you jumped down my back? You became exactly what you were afraid I would be." He got up and walked over to his desk, fishing the key to the drawer out of his bag to open the drug drawer, dropping the bag inside and relocking it. "Do you have a key?"-
Covet: "Yeah..." She said holding her arm, his words stinging, then she shook her head. "No, I usually just had Evan do it for me, one time I snuck your key out of your bag." As she said the words she started to cry again. " What about Connor.. what do I tell him.. Or Steph.. I..can't.....I can't.." She shook her head covering her face again.
Alexithymiaa: "You're not telling them anything. You're not telling your son you have a drug problem, and you don't owe Steph any sort of explanation like that. We're sorting this out and that's what matters. And if you need help, we'll get you help."-
Covet: "But they're going to want to know. Bradley.. Connor was scared to the point that he had to call someone to come get him. Thankfully it was Steph, and not my mom." She shook her head, " Steph wants an explanation, what am I supposed to tell her?" She said still breaking down again. "I don't need help.. not like that.. I just need more time in the day to do everything."
Alexithymiaa: "Well I don't really care what Steph wants, you're not telling her about this. Just tell her we got into an argument. It doesn't matter what you tell her." He shook his head. "Well you can't fit more time into the day, you can only take things out of your schedule. Which you're going to do. And you're going to come with me to LA this weekend, too."-
Covet: "Okay..." She said frowning, but agreeing with him on all fronts."Why do I need to go to LA this weekend?" She asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "Because I don't trust you alone here, and I have a couple meetings there this weekend." he spoke shortly, not sugarcoating how he felt at all.-
Covet: "Bradley I..." She started to say then just stopped and nodded her head, accepting her fate, "Okay. Are we bringing Connor?" She asked assuming that Steph was going to be okay with her taking him back by this weekend.
Alexithymiaa: "We can, yeah. But if we're taking Connor, we're taking Holly too. Because I'm not leaving you alone with him either."-
Covet: Kelsey frowned because she felt like he was being a little harsh, " But I'm not going to do anything with him there. I don't even know where to get such things Bradley. What if Holly suspects something?"
Alexithymiaa: "She's not going to because you're not going to say anything to her or act any different. She's just going to be doing her job. Period." He stepped on the backs of his shoes, kicking them off and walking back over to his bed to sit down. "I think you should go get into bed and get a good night's sleep."-
Covet: She just stood there and took it, then swallowed hard, rubbing her face dry for a moment. She wasn't going to get much sleep despite what he wanted. "Goodnight...Bradley.. please think about Evan... It really wasn't his fault." She said to him for further consideration as she went back to her dog house to go sulk for being a sucky person.
