  1. An issue with your computer is blocking the VAC system. You cannot play on secure servers.
  2. Enable DEP
  3.  
  4. Data Execution Prevention (DEP) must be enabled to play on VAC secured servers. To restore DEP settings to default please follow the steps below:

  6. Exit Steam.
  7. Click the Start button, then 'All Programs', and 'Accessories'
  8. Right-click on Command Prompt and click "Run as administrator..."
  9. - Please note if you are running Windows 8 you will need to press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin)
  10. In the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
  11. bcdedit.exe /deletevalue nx
  12. Restart your computer.
  13. Launch Steam and test the issue again.

  17. If this is a problem for you on all servers then you can try fixing this problem by exiting Steam and restarting your computer.

  19. Repair the Steam Service
  20.  
  21. This may also indicate a Steam Service failure. Please try repairing the Steam Service:

  23. Exit Steam.
  24. Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R)
  25. Type the following command:
  26.  
  27. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair
  28.  
  29. (If you have installed Steam to another path, please replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam with the correct path.)

  31. This command requires administrator privileges and may take a few minutes.
  32. Launch Steam and test the issue again.

  35. Conflicting Software

  37. This issue can be caused by third party software interfering with your game or Steam. Please restart your computer, then launch Steam and the game without running any other third party software.

  49. 1. Exit Steam
  50. 2. Delete folder <PATH_TO_STEAM>/appcache/
  51. 3. Open Steam

  53. My fix's or what i have found
  54.  
  55. My computer >(the drive steam is located on)>steam>Delete everything except"Steamapps" and "Steam.Exe"
  56. (This will not delete any of your games it will just get rid of any corrupt,Residued or broken files)
  57. (You will need to log in again)

  59. 1. Completely close Steam.
  60. 2. Delete ClientRegistry.blob in your Steam Directory
  61. 3. Run Steam.exe.

  66. An alternative way to fix the issue if the first method doesn't work:
  67.  
  68. 1. Exit Steam if you haven't already.
  69. 2. Delete the config folder in your Steam directory.
  70. 3. Run Steam.exe
  71. - Steam will redownload all of the files you deleted and verify the contents of your steamapps folder. (Credible sources say this process only takes a couple minutes)
  72. 4. Test the game!
