  1. 1. Respecting Community Members (Players)
  2. It is your duty to treat each member of our with the utmost respect regardless of whether or not you are on duty. You represent Radical Gaming™ at all times, not only when you're handling a report. While we are all human and make mistakes, we take this very seriously and will investigate each situation, and come to a conclusion regarding the action.
  3.
  4. Actions Not Allowed:
  5. Cursing at players.
  6. Calling players any names.
  7. Threaten any players.
  8. Gossip about other players to another player(s).
  9. Badger a player during an investigation.
  10. Lie to any players.
  11. Troll players.
  12. Embarrass any players.
  13. While you may say something as a joke it may not be perceived that way. Ensure that you're not unintentionally disrespecting a community member who isn't laughing at the joke.
  14.
  15. 2. Discrimination
  16. There is not a single situation that discrimination is acceptable. If you are found guilty of discrimination, you may be removed from staff.
  17.
  18. 3. Abusing Admin Abilities
  19. It is strictly forbidden to abuse any of your staff abilities. While you may know if something is abuse, we will cover the general areas of abuse so you have a better understanding of what we define abuse as. The harsher the abuse, the harsher the punishment.
  20.
  21. Actions Not Allowed:
  22. Teleporting to destinations other than requiring so by staff duties.
  23. Teleporting your vehicles or your friend's vehicles without a report.
  24. Restoring your health, armor, as well as your vehicles damage.
  25. Issuing yourself a refund.
  26. Giving yourself any money, items, or assets.
  27. Purposely obtaining property lower than server buyout for your advantage.
  28. Voiding roleplay without a valid report/reason.
  29. Banning a user from any of our services without a valid reason. (IE: Teamspeak, Discord, In Game, etc.)
  30. Banning someone because you or a friend doesn't like them.
  31. Denying ban appeals because you don't like the player.
  32. ?
  33. 4. Proper Attitude
  34. Your actions not only reflect on yourself but also reflect Radical Gaming™ as a whole. Everything you do is taken into account. Every member's opinion of you matters, so avoid an "I don't care what anyone thinks" attitude.
  35.
  36. Actions Expected Are:
  37. Act polite towards community players and fellow staff members.
  38. Please and Thank You should be used when applicable.
  39. Be friendly towards community members and fellow staff members.
  40. Be positive when asked or spoke upon.
  41. Avoid interrupting community members and always listen.
  42. Let them explain their portion of the story.
  43. Avoid reiterating things a player did, as in question form.
  44. ?
  45. (It can lead to confusion and they may say the wrong thing, even though they didn't intend to.)
  46.
  47. Even if a player is wrong you should explain the situation in a positive way. Explain the situation and where they went wrong. Help them understand so that they can improve themselves. You are here to work with the players, not against them. The talk about Staff VS Player should be history.
  48.
  49. 5. Reports
  50. All reports should be addressed when received. I understand that you're all here to roleplay as well, but unfortunately, your role as a staff member will get in the way occasionally. Reports need to be answered within a reasonable timeframe. Players are not allowed to ignore staff members, so do not ignore them.
  51.
  52. 5a. Any reports for broken rules shall not be acted upon until all sides of the story have been heard. Once the statements have been taken, the handling staff member can determine which action to take. If one of the parties ignore the handler, they may then take action without their input, but the action should be within reason. (To be covered below)?
  53. Reports such as MASS-deathmatching or similar situations should be handled IMMEDIATELY.
  54.
  55. 5b. If a report is addressing a broken rule, but the reported party is unavailable; The reporting party should then be referred to the player complaints section on the forums to allow both sides to present their side of the story.
  56.
  57. 5c. On a complaint, the player that is reported needs to be notified via the "@Username" function. Once notified, they have 48 hours to respond to the complaint. If they do not respond within 48 hours, the handling staff member is permitted to determine which action to take, within reason.
  58. ?
  59. 6. Administrative Actions
  60. It is your duty to take action on community members when they break any rules, whether it be game rules, or community rules. It should also be noted that your actions should be taken with the server's benefit in mind. Your actions should be made with sections one, two, and three in mind.
  61.
  62. The community has mentioned that most rules result in a lengthy ban or permanent ban. While some of us may not feel that way, they do, so we need to change that. Sometimes rules are broken without intention, so make sure you analyze their response during your investigation.
  63.
  64. Try to Avoid Administering:
  65. Permanent Bans, unless the player isn't learning from previous actions, and you consult a manager.
  66. Banning for long periods for first offenses or accidents.
  67. ?
  68. The list can keep going, but that is a general idea, so please take action with courtesy. Keep the player and server in mind.
  69.
  70. Examples of appropriate punishment:
  71. Deathmatching:
  72.
  73. First Offense – 1-2 Day Ban
  74. Second Offense – 2-4 Day Ban
  75. Third Offense – Permanent Ban?
  76.
  77. Failure to Roleplay:
  78.
  79. First Offense – 1 Day Ban
  80. Second Offense – 2-4 Day Ban
  81. Third Offense – 4-7 Day Ban
  82. Fourth Offense – Permanent Ban?
  83.
  84. The indicated punitive actions should be considered by default whenever there is a rule violation. However, if in the sole judgement of the admin making the ruling, there are clear extenuating circumstances to warrant it (e.g., a newer player who hasn't had the experience to the extent that the rules are second nature), the violation is victim-less (i.e., failure to rp as it nearly never causes injury or loss), and the player is highly receptive to correcting his behavior, a warning in lieu of a ban may be issued.
  85.
  86. Another revised document may be given to staff to cover consequences of broken rules, above is just a couple of common offenses. Each player is human and are bound to make mistakes. When handling a report, you shouldn't be trying to decide who you are going to ban, ask the reporting player what they would like to see happen. Sometimes clarity is all they're looking for. Sometimes the rules are accidentally broken or barely touch a rule violation, so ensure we educate the player.
  87.
  88. While it is our job as staff to protect our community, it is also our job to teach them as well. They may even teach you a thing or two. If you are able to educate a player on where the went wrong, you prevent further situations. The player will appreciate your help, and you'll help the community grow stronger. The player is taken care of, and Radical Gaming™ continues to grow.
  89.
  90. If you feel a player is purposely disregarding our rules, take appropriate action within reason, and/or consult a manager if you feel it could damage our community in anyway.
  91.
  92. 7. Put the Well Being of the Community First:
  93. 7a. Obviously without the community, a staff team isn't needed, and this document wouldn't exist. The community should be most important in any action or decision. As a staff member ranging from Support to Management, you are Radical Gaming™, because when your name appears, it ties to the community. Every word, kick, ban, and keystroke affects Radical Gaming™.
  94.
  95. 7b. Obviously banning players over every little thing damages the server, because you lose activity, and potentially lose a good player who just needs a little guidance. Bans aren't to be foreseen as normal, common, or minor; Bans also shouldn't be issued because "it is just how things work," rather, used when needed. Let's try to give players more chances to improve.
  96.
  97. 7c. If an angry player is encountered, remember you are a staff member, and address them according to this code. Do not laugh at them, make snyde comments, treat them like they're stupid, etc. You are to listen to them, put their feelings into consideration, and try to defuse the situation. If the player is not calming down, have another staff member assist you in defusing the situation. If all else fails, give the player a break. Give them 15 minutes to calm down, then return and try to resolve the situation. Never put players to the side. They are your priority.
  98.
  99. 7d. When a player is in the wrong tell them respectfully. Don't rebuttal questions until they have an epiphany. Chances are the player is already upset and/or intimidated, so take that into consideration. Work with them to get answers. Work as a team to seek resolution. If anything, try to see everything from their point of view.
  100.
  101. 7e. Never ignore a player. You may be busy working on a project, in game, or handling life events, but not responding to a player's messages is unacceptable. A player sends you a private message to seek answers, so remember that it is your job to give them that. If a player PMs you making demands or disrespecting you, try to respectfully defuse the situation, and if all possible take appropriate action. If your response may take longer than 24 hours, set an away message, so they are notified during auto-reply.
  102. ?
  103. 8. Respect Fellow Staff Members
  104. No matter what your rank is, respecting other staff members is crucial, We are a team. If conflict arises, we lose balance, and things can fall apart. Whether you are support staff or a manager, you are held to the same standard.
  105.
  106. 8a. You are expected to remain respectful and professional towards other staff members at all times.
  107.
  108. 8b. You are to avoid calling names, cursing, yelling, or belittling one another.
  109.
  110. 8c. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so when another staff member says something you don't agree with, respectfully state your opinion, and work together to come to an agreement. If they pitch an idea, you shouldn't belittle them because you think it is "stupid," but you should work together to perfect the idea by putting your brains together.
  111.
  112. 8d. Ganging up on a staff member is unacceptable. Working together daily, we find friends on the team that we adapt to, and that is perfectly okay, however, you should never jump into a debate to "help" them. When there are three staff members on one, they get shut down because their voice isn't as loud, and may even feel stupid. Nobody on our team should ever feel stupid, because our ideas are a form of initiative, which produces activity, and in turn allows community growth.?
  113.
  114. 9. Transparency
  115. It is no secret that our player base has had a rollercoaster effect in terms of activity. While proprietary information should remain unsaid, it is good to always be yourself to the public, and speak exactly the same as if you were behind closed doors. If a member asks you a question that could be considered confidential, refer them to Public Relations, and/or the Community Manager; That will remove the risk of possibly leaking information and in return the player is given what information they are seeking without being left in the dark.
  116.
  117. If a member is hate posting on the forums or talking bad about Radical Gaming™ on Discord, DON'T delete it. They are entitled to their opinion, so shoot them a private message, and see how you can better serve them. Don't spark a debate, don't badger their ideas/statements, but simply investigate to see how you can make their experience better. If the member is only posting these messages to incite drama and/or get a rise out of players, you may delete their post.
  118.
  119. 10. Defacing Radical Gaming™
  120. We encourage transparency, actions of integrity, and honesty. That being said, be reasonable, and remember that it is primarily for the community members. You are allowed to dislike aspects of the community, but do not talk negatively about the community. Instead, start a discussion about the aspects in question and try to improve it. You are entitled to your opinion, however, talking negatively about FiveRP publicly without trying to improve the community is unacceptable as a staff member.
  121.
  122. 11. Propriety Information
  123. Our goal is to be transparent, however, we must also keep some topics confidential. Not because we're biased, but simply because we want all of the details to be ironed out before the public is made aware. Leaking confidential information is unacceptable and will result in removal from staff, and potentially an indefinite ban.
  124.
  125. Examples are:
  126. Sharing information from any staff meetings.
  127. Sharing screenshots from any staff discords, slack channels, or private messages.
  128. Sharing our gamemode.
  129. Sharing information about any release dates, update progress, etc.
  130. 12. Being Biased
  131. You are not allowed to be biased in any situation. Your punishments and resolutions must be consistent in each situation. You are not allowed to turn a blind eye to rulebreaking for anyone, including friends and family.
  132.
  133. 13. Retaliation
  134. If you are caught doing something you are not supposed to, a player reports it, and you get demoted; You cannot retaliate against said player. You will be removed.
  135. If a lower rank holds you acountable to a manager and you are reprimanded, you cannot find a way to have them removed, or deface them as a person. If this behavior is noticed, you will be removed.
  136. 14. Safe Community
  137. While every position here at Radical Gaming™ is voluntary, it is still considered some-what as a workplace. It is your job to make sure it stays that way. There shall never be any forms of violence, threats, harassment, doxing, or DDOS. Any staff member caught doing such activities will be removed and indefinitely banned. Cyber bullying is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
  138.
  139. 15. Conflicts of Interest
  140. You should know what may be a conflict of interest, but we'll cover the two most common.
  141.
  142. 1. Community Membership: While being involved with another community is acceptable, it is not acceptable to be a staff member for another GTAV RP community. You will be removed if found working for another GTAV RP Community.
  143.
  144. 2. Relationships: Giving your friends extra wiggle room regarding the rules is not acceptable..?
  145.
  146. 16. Reporting other Staff Members
  147. Remember to not be biased. It is required to report another Staff Member if they are breaking any rules, or disobeying the Code of Conduct. If you are found disregarding this code, you can potentially be removed, as well as the other Staff Member.
  148.
  149. 17. Bribery
  150. Accepting a bribe is not acceptable on any term. It is not only against the rules, but accepting a bribe will lead to removal, and an indefinite ban. If you are offered a bribe, report the incident to management immediately.
  151.
  152. 18. Records
  153. Maintaining records properly will ensure anyone can reference what they need, can be used for backing evidence, and so much more. Remember that records must remain confidential unless it is needed for complaints, or another appropriate reason.
  154. Record evidence on as many administrative actions as possible.
  155. Keep records of your activity.
  156. If you feel it could benefit you or the community. Record it.
  157. 19. Personal Information
  158. Your role may grant you access to personal information. Avoid holding any personal records of this information. It is unacceptable to leak anyone's personal information or use it in any form. All sensitive information is to remain behind our security and any misuse will result in removal from staff, and an indefinite ban.
  159.
  160. 20. Plagiarism
  161. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden. We all know that; however, it can happen without realizing it. If you are working on anything that is Radical Gaming™ related, make sure the work was done by you. Being caught plagiarizing could have a severe negative impact on the community..
