I'm not sure I'd call it a baboon run, Gluth and Noth were gongshows because specific people didn't do their jobs. Stuff like that is to be expected in pugs. I also wouldn't say Priory carries the dps, there are 4-5 people at the same level on the meters, while he outgears them. On certain fights though your dps means absolutely fuck all, you only need to go along with the gimmick of the fight. But yeah, if you want to have any hope of clearing HM's you're going to have to do your part, damage or otherwise. Ditching the raid is unacceptable fam

The focus was fine, aside from those two fights. I don't understand why people complain about banter on discord, that's what it is for. You don't need laser focus and silence on this content, it's Naxx25.

Well, did it work out well with all that banter? I mean, if we have a cleartime of 1hr, sure. Talk as much shit on disc as you want. But when you end up wiping because people arent 100% sure of what to do and they cant see shit in the raidchat due to this banter its not that good
Discord is not only used for banter. It needs to stay clear during bossfights and Probably before the fight aswell so the RL can brief through tacts if needed
And again, if tacts were all clear, banter is fine. But with that many wipes, tacts arent clear

That wasn't the reason why we wiped, for a pug on this server it wouldn't even be considered a lot of wipes. If you don't know 10 year old content then you should make that known beforehand. On both of those fights people who had jobs to do were specifically told what to do anyway, they either made mistakes or simply chose not to do their job.

And I mean, its not always about not knowing the content. If that was the case you could just raid without a RL and hope for the best. I am aware that there were some players not doing what they were told to do, but I still think the Chat and discord should stay clear in-case the leader needs to make some calls or changes. I dont see why there would be such a big need for all that banter during a raid, we have 5 other days during the week to do that shit

pugs did fuck up a lot, but so did our bois, had some people writing to me that they had a hard time focusing
it should be faceroll content, but didnt really turn out that way
its by far the easiest raid out of any expansion
i havent been in a naxx pug on this server, or any other server, where wipes in naxx is a common sight tbh
shouldnt really happen except for once in a while, not on that many

I also think its important to get it under control even in Nax since that behaviour is gonna stick with them in Ulduar aswell if they dont have any limits what so ever regarding when to troll and when not to, do you agree?

In stuff we haven't cleared yet and in a full guild run, I'd agree. On a Saturday night in a pug run of naxx25? Having a hard time focusing? Get real fam.

People having fun in Discord is not something to get "under control", it's basically the reason why people are able to play on old versions of wow for years at a time. If you don't like it you can turn down your sound, or just local mute that person until the end of the raid.

If they're having a hard time focusing because of that then I'd question their ability to hold down a job or go to school. I can say for almost all of our guys being able to shoot the shit while they play is important, we don't have 5 other nights a week to do that, this is our play time.

because for sure, a lot didnt seem to be very aware of how to do certain mechanics
pugs and guildies
im just not very keen on wiping because some guy doesnt know how to kite an add or doesnt know how to decurse

i believe the reason they said they had a hard time focusing, was probably because once in a while there was asked some questions before pull, but they were largely ignored or drowned, mostly by jox

@Kastakasta The reason why I'mreplying to the discussion from last night is because there seems to be some confusion as to what went wrong and why.

@Nych Absolutely, we can't hold peoples hands through raids. If they don't know what they need to do, they need to say something. I think literally every person in the raid would rather answer a question someone has, rather than point fingers after a wipe. The talking in discord was not preventing this at all. In the places where we lost the most time last night NO ONE asked questions, they only did so after we wiped.

If you'd like an itemized list of all the places we went wrong here it is

Faerlina: Tank charged in before CC's went out on followers. Locks didn't realize they could deathcoil and continue fearing as normal.

Grobbulus: I had frost presence on still from being the 3rd tank on Patchwerk and pulled aggro.

Gluth: Hunters thought they could handle tranqs and kiting, they couldn't. The pug hunter was asked in whisper if he could manage it and he said yes, after the wipe we used a second mage instead.

Noth: One of the two people who could decurse didn't pull their weight.

and the pug hunter legit didnt know how to kite, since he asked me how to do it after the first wipe
