  1. <<Modern societies need specialists in certain fields, but not others, Some people, therefore, think that governments should pay university fees for students who study subjects that are needed by society. Would the advantages of such an educational policy outweigh disadvantages?>>

  5.
  6. That urbanized world requires masters in determined spheres is obvious.
  7. Today some people hold an opinion that a government should allocate money to the students, who study only needed by society subjects.
  8. Despite the fact, that such an approach has several good sides, what I believe is such a method would bring more disadvantages, than advantages.
  9.
  10. On the one hand, introducing this measure seems to be more than cogent, as gaining pecuniary resources is one of the main factors, that make students to choose a subject to study.
  11. To be more specific, the popularity of a subject depends on the amount of money, that will be obtained by students in a specific field in future.
  12. Moreover, were students to be funded by a government, it would inspire them to study harder in the area, needed by society, as a result of which more students would apply to work in a chosen sphere.
  13. Thus, I believe, that the advantage would certainly be that a higher number of students would enrol and later fill the employment gaps.
  14.
  15. On the other hand, the disadvantages of such a policy would be considerable.
  16. A prime example of this are students who don't have any interest in the subject, but they would be attracted by the funding, as a result of which they would be dropped either before the graduation or after working only short time in a related job.
  17. Moreover, were a government to fund only one group of students, not only would it balefully affect students, who are genius in another field, but it would also develop negative attitudes towards entering university altogether in students because no support is got by a state.
  18. Given these facts, in my humble opinion, the deleterious effects of funding only specific groups of students can not be neglected.
  19.
  20. In conclusion, although the education policy, proposed above contains good sides, what I believe is bad sides of this approach outweigh advantages.
